لِلۡفُقَرَآءِ الَّذِيۡنَ اُحۡصِرُوۡا فِىۡ سَبِيۡلِ اللّٰهِ لَا يَسۡتَطِيۡعُوۡنَ ضَرۡبًا فِىۡ الۡاَرۡضِ يَحۡسَبُهُمُ الۡجَاهِلُ اَغۡنِيَآءَ مِنَ التَّعَفُّفِۚ تَعۡرِفُهُمۡ بِسِيۡمٰهُمۡۚ لَا يَسۡـَٔـلُوۡنَ النَّاسَ اِلۡحَــافًاؕ وَمَا تُنۡفِقُوۡا مِنۡ خَيۡرٍ فَاِنَّ اللّٰهَ بِهٖ عَلِيۡمٌ
Word By Word —
لِلۡفُقَرَآءِ
lil'fuqarāiFor the poorیہ صدقات فقراء کے لیے ہیں۔ تنگدست کے لیے ہیں
الَّذِيۡنَ
alladhīnathose who(یعنی) وہ لوگ جو
اُحۡصِرُوۡا
uḥ'ṣirūare wrapped upگھیر لیے گئے
فِىۡ
fīinمیں
سَبِيۡلِ
sabīli(the) wayراستے
اللّٰهِ
l-lahi(of) Allahاللہ کے
لَا
lānotنہیں
يَسۡتَطِيۡعُوۡنَ
yastaṭīʿūnathey are ableوہ استطاعت رکھتے
ضَرۡبًا
ḍarban(to) move aboutچلنے پھرنے کی۔ دوڑ دھوپ کی
فِى
fīinمیں
الۡاَرۡضِ
l-arḍithe earthزمین
يَحۡسَبُهُمُ
yaḥsabuhumuThink (about) themسمجھتا ہے ان کو
الۡجَاهِلُ
l-jāhiluthe ignorant oneجاہل۔ ناواقف
اَغۡنِيَآءَ
aghniyāa(that they are) self-sufficientدولت مند
مِنَ
mina(because) ofوجہ سے
التَّعَفُّفِۚ
l-taʿafufi(their) restraintان کی خودداری-
تَعۡرِفُهُمۡ
taʿrifuhumyou recognize themتم پہچان لو گے ان کو
بِسِيۡمٰهُمۡۚ
bisīmāhumby their markان کی علامت سے۔ ان کی پیشانی سے
لَا
lā**They (do) not askنہیں
يَسۡـــَٔلُوۡنَ
yasalūna(do) they askوہ مانگتے
النَّاسَ
l-nāsathe peopleلوگوں سے
اِلۡحَــافًا ؕ
il'ḥāfanwith importunityاصرار کرکے۔ لپٹ کر
وَمَا
wamāAnd whateverاور جو
تُنۡفِقُوۡا
tunfiqūyou spendتم خرچ کرو گے
مِنۡ
minofمیں سے
خَيۡرٍ
khayringoodمال
فَاِنَّ
fa-innathen indeed,تو بیشک
اللّٰهَ
l-lahaAllahاللہ
بِهٖ
bihiof itساتھ اس کے
عَلِيۡمٌ
ʿalīmun(is) All-Knowerجاننے والا ہے
Lilfuqara-i allatheena ohsiroofee sabeeli Allahi la yastateeAAoona darbanfee al-ardi yahsabuhumu aljahilu aghniyaamina attaAAaffufi taAArifuhum biseemahum layas-aloona annasa ilhafan wamatunfiqoo min khayrin fa-inna Allaha bihi AAaleem
