وَاتَّخَذَ قَوۡمُ مُوۡسٰى مِنۡۢ بَعۡدِهٖ مِنۡ حُلِيِّهِمۡ عِجۡلاً جَسَدًا لَّهٗ خُوَارٌؕ اَلَمۡ يَرَوۡا اَنَّهٗ لَا يُكَلِّمُهُمۡ وَلَا يَهۡدِيۡهِمۡ سَبِيۡلاًۘ اِتَّخَذُوۡهُ وَكَانُوۡا ظٰلِمِيۡنَ
Word By Word —
وَاتَّخَذَ
wa-ittakhadhaAnd tookاور بنا لیا
قَوۡمُ
qawmu(the) peopleقوم نے
مُوۡسٰى
mūsā(of) Musa,موسیٰ کی
مِنۡۢ
min**after himسے
بَعۡدِهٖ
baʿdihiafter himان کے پیچھے
مِنۡ
minfromمیں سے
حُلِيِّهِمۡ
ḥuliyyihimtheir ornamentsاپنے زیورات
عِجۡلًا
ʿij'lana calf ایک بچھڑا
جَسَدًا
jasadanan imageجسم والا
لَّهٗ
lahu[for] itاسی کی
خُوَارٌ ؕ
khuwārun(had) a lowing soundآواز تھی
اَلَمۡ
alamDid notکیا نہیں
يَرَوۡا
yarawthey seeانہوں نے دیکھا
اَنَّهٗ
annahuthat itکہ بیشک وہ
لَا
lā(could) notنہیں
يُكَلِّمُهُمۡ
yukallimuhumspeak to themکلام کرتا ان سے
وَلَا
walāand notاور نہیں
يَهۡدِيۡهِمۡ
yahdīhimguide themوہ راہنمائی کرنا ان کی
سَبِيۡلًا ۘ
sabīlan(to) a wayراستے کی طرف
اِتَّخَذُوۡهُ
ittakhadhūhuThey took it (for worship)انہوں نے بنا لیا اس کو
وَكَانُوۡا
wakānūand they wereتھے وہ
ظٰلِمِيۡنَ
ẓālimīnawrongdoersظالم
Wattakhatha qawmu moosamin baAAdihi min huliyyihim AAijlan jasadan lahu khuwarunalam yaraw annahu la yukallimuhum wala yahdeehimsabeelan ittakhathoohu wakanoo thalimeen
