— Transliteration
Sal banee isra-eela kam ataynahummin ayatin bayyinatin waman yubaddil niAAmata Allahimin baAAdi ma jaat-hu fa-inna Allahashadeedu alAAiqab

Ask the Children of Israel how many a sign of evidence We have given them. And whoever exchanges the favor of Allah [for disbelief] after it has come to him - then indeed, Allah is severe in penalty.
زُيِّنَ لِلَّذِيۡنَ كَفَرُوۡا الۡحَيٰوةُ الدُّنۡيَا وَيَسۡخَرُوۡنَ مِنَ الَّذِيۡنَ اٰمَنُوۡا ۘ وَالَّذِيۡنَ اتَّقَوۡا فَوۡقَهُمۡ يَوۡمَ الۡقِيٰمَةِؕ وَاللّٰهُ يَرۡزُقُ مَنۡ يَّشَآءُ بِغَيۡرِ حِسَابٍ
— Transliteration
Zuyyina lillatheena kafaroo alhayatuaddunya wayaskharoona mina allatheena amanoowallatheena ittaqaw fawqahum yawma alqiyamatiwallahu yarzuqu man yashao bighayri hisab

کافروں کے لئے دنیا کی زندگی خوب آراستہ کر دی گئی ہے اور وہ ایمان والوں سے تمسخر کرتے ہیں، اور جنہوں نے تقویٰ اختیار کیا وہ قیامت کے دن ان پر سربلند ہوں گے، اور اﷲ جسے چاہتا ہے بے حساب نوازتا ہے

Beautified for those who disbelieve is the life of this world, and they ridicule those who believe. But those who fear Allah are above them on the Day of Resurrection. And Allah gives provision to whom He wills without account.
كَانَ النَّاسُ اُمَّةً وَّاحِدَةً فَبَعَثَ اللّٰهُ النَّبِيّٖنَ مُبَشِّرِيۡنَ وَمُنۡذِرِيۡنَ وَاَنۡزَلَ مَعَهُمُ الۡكِتٰبَ بِالۡحَـقِّ لِيَحۡكُمَ بَيۡنَ النَّاسِ فِيۡمَا اخۡتَلَفُوۡا فِيۡهِؕ وَمَا اخۡتَلَفَ فِيۡهِ اِلَّا الَّذِيۡنَ اُوۡتُوۡهُ مِنۡۢ بَعۡدِ مَا جَآءَتۡهُمُ الۡبَيِّنٰتُ بَغۡيًا ۢ بَيۡنَهُمۡۚ فَهَدَى اللّٰهُ الَّذِيۡنَ اٰمَنُوۡا لِمَا اخۡتَلَفُوۡا فِيۡهِ مِنَ الۡحَـقِّ بِاِذۡنِهٖؕ وَاللّٰهُ يَهۡدِىۡ مَنۡ يَّشَآءُ اِلٰى صِرَاطٍ مُّسۡتَقِيۡمٍ
— Transliteration
Kana annasu ommatan wahidatanfabaAAatha Allahu annabiyyeena mubashshireenawamunthireena waanzala maAAahumu alkitaba bilhaqqiliyahkuma bayna annasi feemaikhtalafoo feehi wama ikhtalafa feehi illa allatheenaootoohu min baAAdi ma jaat-humu albayyinatubaghyan baynahum fahada Allahu allatheena amanoolima ikhtalafoo feehi mina alhaqqi bi-ithnihiwallahu yahdee man yashao ila siratinmustaqeem

(ابتداء میں) سب لوگ ایک ہی دین پر جمع تھے، (پھر جب ان میں اختلافات رونما ہو گئے) تو اﷲ نے بشارت دینے والے اور ڈر سنانے والے پیغمبروں کو بھیجا، اور ان کے ساتھ حق پر مبنی کتاب اتاری تاکہ وہ لوگوں میں ان امور کا فیصلہ کر دے جن میں وہ اختلاف کرنے لگے تھے اور اس میں اختلاف بھی فقط انہی لوگوں نے کیا جنہیں وہ کتاب دی گئی تھی، باوجود اس کے کہ ان کے پاس واضح نشانیاں آچکی تھیں، (اور انہوں نے یہ اختلاف بھی) محض باہمی بغض و حسد کے باعث (کیا) پھر اﷲ نے ایمان والوں کو اپنے حکم سے وہ حق کی بات سمجھا دی جس میں وہ اختلاف کرتے تھے، اور اﷲ جسے چاہتا ہے سیدھے راستے کی طرف ہدایت فرما دیتا ہے

Mankind was [of] one religion [before their deviation]; then Allah sent the prophets as bringers of good tidings and warners and sent down with them the Scripture in truth to judge between the people concerning that in which they differed. And none differed over the Scripture except those who were given it - after the clear proofs came to them - out of jealous animosity among themselves. And Allah guided those who believed to the truth concerning that over which they had differed, by His permission. And Allah guides whom He wills to a straight path.
اَمۡ حَسِبۡتُمۡ اَنۡ تَدۡخُلُوۡا الۡجَـنَّةَ وَلَمَّا يَاۡتِكُمۡ مَّثَلُ الَّذِيۡنَ خَلَوۡا مِنۡ قَبۡلِكُمۡؕ مَّسَّتۡهُمُ الۡبَاۡسَآءُ وَالضَّرَّآءُ وَزُلۡزِلُوۡا حَتّٰى يَقُوۡلَ الرَّسُوۡلُ وَالَّذِيۡنَ اٰمَنُوۡا مَعَهٗ مَتٰى نَصۡرُ اللّٰهِؕ اَلَاۤ اِنَّ نَصۡرَ اللّٰهِ قَرِيۡبٌ
— Transliteration
Am hasibtum an tadkhuloo aljannatawalamma ya/tikum mathalu allatheena khalaw minqablikum massat-humu alba/sao waddarraowazulziloo hatta yaqoola arrasoolu wallatheenaamanoo maAAahu mata nasru Allahi alainna nasra Allahi qareeb

کیا تم یہ گمان کرتے ہو کہ تم (یونہی بلا آزمائش) جنت میں داخل ہو جاؤ گے حالانکہ تم پر تو ابھی ان لوگوں جیسی حالت (ہی) نہیں بیتی جو تم سے پہلے گزر چکے، انہیں توطرح طرح کی سختیاں اور تکلیفیں پہنچیں اور انہیں (اس طرح) ہلا ڈالا گیا کہ (خود) پیغمبر اور ان کے ایمان والے ساتھی (بھی) پکار اٹھے کہ اﷲ کی مدد کب آئے گی؟ آگاہ ہو جاؤ کہ بیشک اﷲ کی مدد قریب ہے

Or do you think that you will enter Paradise while such [trial] has not yet come to you as came to those who passed on before you? They were touched by poverty and hardship and were shaken until [even their] messenger and those who believed with him said, "When is the help of Allah?" Unquestionably, the help of Allah is near.
يَسۡـَٔـلُوۡنَكَ مَاذَا يُنۡفِقُوۡنَؕ قُلۡ مَآ اَنۡفَقۡتُمۡ مِّنۡ خَيۡرٍ فَلِلۡوَالِدَيۡنِ وَالۡاَقۡرَبِيۡنَ وَالۡيَتٰمٰى وَالۡمَسٰكِيۡنِ وَابۡنِ السَّبِيۡلِؕ وَمَا تَفۡعَلُوۡا مِنۡ خَيۡرٍ فَاِنَّ اللّٰهَ بِهٖ عَلِيۡمٌ
— Transliteration
Yas-aloonaka matha yunfiqoona qul maanfaqtum min khayrin falilwalidayni wal-aqrabeenawalyatama walmasakeeni wabniassabeeli wama tafAAaloo min khayrin fa-inna Allahabihi AAaleem

آپ سے پوچھتے ہیں کہ (اﷲ کی راہ میں) کیا خرچ کریں، فرما دیں: جس قدر بھی مال خرچ کرو (درست ہے)، مگر اس کے حق دار تمہارے ماں باپ ہیں اور قریبی رشتہ دار ہیں اور یتیم ہیں اور محتاج ہیں اور مسافر ہیں، اور جو نیکی بھی تم کرتے ہو بیشک اﷲ اسے خوب جاننے والا ہے

They ask you, [O Muhammad], what they should spend. Say, "Whatever you spend of good is [to be] for parents and relatives and orphans and the needy and the traveler. And whatever you do of good - indeed, Allah is Knowing of it."
كُتِبَ عَلَيۡکُمُ الۡقِتَالُ وَهُوَ كُرۡهٌ لَّـكُمۡۚ وَعَسٰۤى اَنۡ تَكۡرَهُوۡا شَيْئًا وَّهُوَ خَيۡرٌ لَّـکُمۡۚ وَعَسٰۤى اَنۡ تُحِبُّوۡا شَيْئًا وَّهُوَ شَرٌّ لَّـكُمۡؕ وَاللّٰهُ يَعۡلَمُ وَاَنۡتُمۡ لَا تَعۡلَمُوۡنَ
— Transliteration
Kutiba AAalaykumu alqitalu wahuwakurhun lakum waAAasa an takrahoo shay-an wahuwa khayrunlakum waAAasa an tuhibboo shay-an wahuwa sharrunlakum wallahu yaAAlamu waantum lataAAlamoon

(اﷲ کی راہ میں) قتال تم پر فرض کر دیا گیا ہے حالانکہ وہ تمہیں طبعاً ناگوار ہے، اور ممکن ہے تم کسی چیز کو ناپسند کرو اور وہ (حقیقتاً) تمہارے لئے بہتر ہو، اور (یہ بھی) ممکن ہے کہ تم کسی چیز کو پسند کرو اور وہ (حقیقتاً) تمہارے لئے بری ہو، اور اﷲ خوب جانتا ہے اور تم نہیں جانتے

Fighting has been enjoined upon you while it is hateful to you. But perhaps you hate a thing and it is good for you; and perhaps you love a thing and it is bad for you. And Allah Knows, while you know not.
يَسۡــَٔلُوۡنَكَ عَنِ الشَّهۡرِ الۡحَـرَامِ قِتَالٍ فِيۡهِؕ قُلۡ قِتَالٌ فِيۡهِ كَبِيۡرٌؕ وَصَدٌّ عَنۡ سَبِيۡلِ اللّٰهِ وَکُفۡرٌۢ بِهٖ وَالۡمَسۡجِدِ الۡحَـرَامِ وَاِخۡرَاجُ اَهۡلِهٖ مِنۡهُ اَكۡبَرُ عِنۡدَ اللّٰهِۚ وَالۡفِتۡنَةُ اَکۡبَرُ مِنَ الۡقَتۡلِؕ وَلَا يَزَالُوۡنَ يُقَاتِلُوۡنَكُمۡ حَتّٰى يَرُدُّوۡكُمۡ عَنۡ دِيۡنِکُمۡ اِنِ اسۡتَطَاعُوۡاؕ وَمَنۡ يَّرۡتَدِدۡ مِنۡكُمۡ عَنۡ دِيۡنِهٖ فَيَمُتۡ وَهُوَ کَافِرٌ فَاُولٰٓٮِٕكَ حَبِطَتۡ اَعۡمَالُهُمۡ فِىۡ الدُّنۡيَا وَالۡاٰخِرَةِۚ وَاُولٰٓٮِٕكَ اَصۡحٰبُ النَّارِۚ هُمۡ فِيۡهَا خٰلِدُوۡنَ
— Transliteration
Yas-aloonaka AAani ashshahri alharamiqitalin feehi qul qitalun feehi kabeerun wasaddunAAan sabeeli Allahi wakufrun bihi walmasjidi alharamiwa-ikhraju ahlihi minhu akbaru AAinda Allahi walfitnatuakbaru mina alqatli wala yazaloona yuqatiloonakumhatta yaruddookum AAan deenikum ini istataAAoowaman yartadid minkum AAan deenihi fayamut wahuwa kafirunfaola-ika habitat aAAmaluhum fee addunyawal-akhirati waola-ika as-habuannari hum feeha khalidoon

لوگ آپ سے حرمت والے مہینے میں جنگ کا حکم دریافت کرتے ہیں، فرما دیں: اس میں جنگ بڑا گناہ ہے اور اﷲ کی راہ سے روکنا اور اس سے کفر کرنا اور مسجدِ حرام (خانہ کعبہ) سے روکنا اور وہاں کے رہنے والوں کو وہاں سے نکالنا اﷲ کے نزدیک (اس سے بھی) بڑا گناہ ہے، اور یہ فتنہ انگیزی قتل و خون سے بھی بڑھ کر ہے اور (یہ کافر) تم سے ہمیشہ جنگ جاری رکھیں گے یہاں تک کہ تمہیں تمہارے دین سے پھیر دیں اگر (وہ اتنی) طاقت پاسکیں، اور تم میں سے جو شخص اپنے دین سے پھر جائے اور پھر وہ کافر ہی مرے تو ایسے لوگوں کے دنیا و آخرت میں (سب) اعمال برباد ہو جائیں گے، اور یہی لوگ جہنمی ہیں وہ اس میں ہمیشہ رہیں گے

They ask you about the sacred month - about fighting therein. Say, "Fighting therein is great [sin], but averting [people] from the way of Allah and disbelief in Him and [preventing access to] al-Masjid al-Haram and the expulsion of its people therefrom are greater [evil] in the sight of Allah. And fitnah is greater than killing." And they will continue to fight you until they turn you back from your religion if they are able. And whoever of you reverts from his religion [to disbelief] and dies while he is a disbeliever - for those, their deeds have become worthless in this world and the Hereafter, and those are the companions of the Fire, they will abide therein eternally.

(اے نبی مکرم!) آپ ان لوگوں کو آدم (علیہ السلام) کے دو بیٹوں (ہابیل و قابیل) کی خبر سنائیں جو بالکل سچی ہے۔ جب دونوں نے (اﷲ کے حضور ایک ایک) قربانی پیش کی سو ان میں سے ایک (ہابیل) کی قبول کر لی گئی اور دوسرے (قابیل) سے قبول نہ کی گئی تو اس (قابیل) نے (ہابیل سے حسداً و انتقاماً) کہا: میں تجھے ضرور قتل کر دوں گا، اس (ہابیل) نے (جواباً) کہا: بیشک اﷲ پرہیزگاروں سے ہی (نیاز) قبول فرماتا ہے

And recite to them the story of Adam's two sons, in truth, when they both offered a sacrifice [to Allah], and it was accepted from one of them but was not accepted from the other. Said [the latter], "I will surely kill you." Said [the former], "Indeed, Allah only accepts from the righteous [who fear Him].

Walaqad khalaqnakum thumma sawwarnakumthumma qulna lilmala-ikati osjudoo li-adamafasajadoo illa ibleesa lam yakun mina assajideen

Was-alhum AAani alqaryati allatee kanathadirata albahri ith yaAAdoona fee assabtiith ta/teehim heetanuhum yawma sabtihimshurraAAan wayawma la yasbitoona la ta/teehim kathalikanabloohum bima kanoo yafsuqoon

اور آپ ان سے اس بستی کا حال دریافت فرمائیں جو سمندر کے کنارے واقع تھی، جب وہ لوگ ہفتہ (کے دن کے احکام) میں حد سے تجاوز کرتے تھے (یہ اس وقت ہوا) جب (ان کے سامنے) ان کی مچھلیاں ان کے (تعظیم کردہ) ہفتہ کے دن کو پانی (کی سطح) پر ہر طرف سے خوب ظاہر ہونے لگیں اور (باقی) ہر دن جس کی وہ یومِ شنبہ کی طرح تعظیم نہیں کرتے تھے (مچھلیاں) ان کے پاس نہ آتیں، اس طرح ہم ان کی آزمائش کر رہے تھے بایں وجہ کہ وہ نافرمان تھے

And ask them about the town that was by the sea - when they transgressed in [the matter of] the sabbath - when their fish came to them openly on their sabbath day, and the day they had no sabbath they did not come to them. Thus did We give them trial because they were defiantly disobedient.
وَاِذۡ قَالَتۡ اُمَّةٌ مِّنۡهُمۡ لِمَ تَعِظُوۡنَ قَوۡمَا ۨ ۙاۨللّٰهُ مُهۡلِكُهُمۡ اَوۡ مُعَذِّبُهُمۡ عَذَابًا شَدِيۡدًاؕ قَالُوۡا مَعۡذِرَةً اِلٰى رَبِّكُمۡ وَلَعَلَّهُمۡ يَتَّقُوۡنَ
— Transliteration
Wa-ith qalat ommatun minhumlima taAAithoona qawman Allahu muhlikuhum awmuAAaththibuhum AAathaban shadeedan qaloomaAAthiratan ila rabbikum walaAAallahum yattaqoon

اور جب ان میں سے ایک گروہ نے (فریضۂ دعوت انجام دینے والوں سے) کہا کہ تم ایسے لوگوں کو نصیحت کیوں کر رہے ہو جنہیں اللہ ہلاک کرنے والا ہے یا جنہیں نہایت سخت عذاب دینے والا ہے؟ تو انہوں نے جواب دیا کہ تمہارے رب کے حضور (اپنی) معذرت پیش کرنے کے لئے اور اس لئے (بھی) کہ شاید وہ پرہیزگار بن جائیں

And when a community among them said, "Why do you advise [or warn] a people whom Allah is [about] to destroy or to punish with a severe punishment?" they [the advisors] said, "To be absolved before your Lord and perhaps they may fear Him."
فَلَمَّا نَسُوۡا مَا ذُكِّرُوۡا بِهٖۤ اَنۡجَيۡنَا الَّذِيۡنَ يَنۡهَوۡنَ عَنِ السُّوۡۤءِ وَاَخَذۡنَا الَّذِيۡنَ ظَلَمُوۡا بِعَذَابِۭ بَـِٕيۡسٍۢ بِمَا كَانُوۡا يَفۡسُقُوۡنَ
— Transliteration
Falamma nasoo ma thukkiroobihi anjayna allatheena yanhawna AAani assoo-iwaakhathna allatheena thalamoobiAAathabin ba-eesin bima kanoo yafsuqoon

پھر جب وہ ان (سب) باتوں کو فراموش کر بیٹھے جن کی انہیں نصیحت کی گئی تھی (تو) ہم نے ان لوگوں کو نجات دے دی جو برائی سے منع کرتے تھے (یعنی نہی عنِ المنکر کا فریضہ ادا کرتے تھے) اور ہم نے (بقیہ سب) لوگوں کو جو (عملاً یا سکوتاً) ظلم کرتے تھے نہایت برے عذاب میں پکڑ لیا اس وجہ سے کہ وہ نافرمانی کر رہے تھے

And when they forgot that by which they had been reminded, We saved those who had forbidden evil and seized those who wronged, with a wretched punishment, because they were defiantly disobeying.
فَلَمَّا عَتَوۡا عَنۡ مَّا نُهُوۡا عَنۡهُ قُلۡنَا لَهُمۡ كُوۡنُوۡا قِرَدَةً خٰسِــِٕيۡنَ

پھر جب انہوں نے اس چیز (کے ترک کرنے کے حکم) سے سرکشی کی جس سے وہ روکے گئے تھے (تو) ہم نے انہیں حکم دیا کہ تم ذلیل و خوار بندر ہوجاؤ

So when they were insolent about that which they had been forbidden, We said to them, "Be apes, despised."
وَاِذۡ تَاَذَّنَ رَبُّكَ لَيَبۡعَثَنَّ عَلَيۡهِمۡ اِلٰى يَوۡمِ الۡقِيٰمَةِ مَنۡ يَّسُوۡمُهُمۡ سُوۡٓءَ الۡعَذَابِؕ اِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَسَرِيۡعُ الۡعِقَابِ ۖۚ وَاِنَّهٗ لَـغَفُوۡرٌ رَّحِيۡمٌ
— Transliteration
Wa-ith taaththana rabbukalayabAAathanna AAalayhim ila yawmi alqiyamati manyasoomuhum soo-a alAAathabi inna rabbaka lasareeAAu alAAiqabiwa-innahu laghafoorun raheem

اور (وہ وقت بھی یاد کریں) جب آپ کے رب نے (یہود کو یہ) حکم سنایا کہ (اللہ) ان پر روزِ قیامت تک (کسی نہ کسی) ایسے شخص کو ضرور مسلّط کرتا رہے گا جو انہیں بری تکلیفیں پہنچاتا رہے۔ بیشک آپ کا رب جلد سزا دینے والا ہے، اور بیشک وہ بڑا بخشنے والا مہربان (بھی) ہے

And [mention] when your Lord declared that He would surely [continue to] send upon them until the Day of Resurrection those who would afflict them with the worst torment. Indeed, your Lord is swift in penalty; but indeed, He is Forgiving and Merciful.
وَقَطَّعۡنٰهُمۡ فِىۡ الۡاَرۡضِ اُمَمًاۚ مِّنۡهُمُ الصّٰلِحُوۡنَ وَمِنۡهُمۡ دُوۡنَ ذٰلِكَ وَبَلَوۡنٰهُمۡ بِالۡحَسَنٰتِ وَالسَّيِّاٰتِ لَعَلَّهُمۡ يَرۡجِعُوۡنَ
— Transliteration
WaqattaAAnahum fee al-ardiomaman minhumu assalihoona waminhum doona thalikawabalawnahum bilhasanati wassayyi-atilaAAallahum yarjiAAoon

اور ہم نے انہیں زمین میں گروہ در گروہ تقسیم (اور منتشر) کر دیا، ان میں سے بعض نیکوکار بھی ہیں اور ان (ہی) میں سے بعض اس کے سوا (بدکار) بھی اور ہم نے ان کی آزمائش انعامات اور مشکلات (دونوں طریقوں) سے کی تاکہ وہ (اللہ کی طرف) رجوع کریں

And We divided them throughout the earth into nations. Of them some were righteous, and of them some were otherwise. And We tested them with good [times] and bad that perhaps they would return [to obedience].
فَخَلَفَ مِنۡۢ بَعۡدِهِمۡ خَلۡفٌ وَّرِثُوۡا الۡكِتٰبَ يَاۡخُذُوۡنَ عَرَضَ هٰذَا الۡاَدۡنٰى وَيَقُوۡلُوۡنَ سَيُغۡفَرُ لَـنَاۚ وَاِنۡ يَّاۡتِهِمۡ عَرَضٌ مِّثۡلُهٗ يَاۡخُذُوۡهُ ؕ اَلَمۡ يُؤۡخَذۡ عَلَيۡهِمۡ مِّيۡثَاقُ الۡـكِتٰبِ اَنۡ لَّا يَقُوۡلُوۡا عَلَى اللّٰهِ اِلَّا الۡحَـقَّ وَدَرَسُوۡا مَا فِيۡهِؕ وَالدَّارُ الۡاٰخِرَةُ خَيۡرٌ لِّـلَّذِيۡنَ يَتَّقُوۡنَؕ اَفَلَا تَعۡقِلُوۡنَ
— Transliteration
Fakhalafa min baAAdihim khalfun warithooalkitaba ya/khuthoona AAarada hathaal-adna wayaqooloona sayughfaru lana wa-in ya/tihimAAaradun mithluhu ya/khuthoohu alam yu/khathAAalayhim meethaqu alkitabi an la yaqoolooAAala Allahi illa alhaqqa wadarasoo mafeehi waddaru al-akhiratu khayrun lillatheenayattaqoona afala taAAqiloon

پھر ان کے بعد ناخلف (ان کے) جانشین بنے جو کتاب کے وارث ہوئے، یہ (جانشین) اس کم تر (دنیا) کا مال و دولت (رشوت کے طور پر) لے لیتے ہیں اور کہتے ہیں: عنقریب ہمیں بخش دیا جائے گا، حالانکہ اسی طرح کا مال و متاع اور بھی ان کے پاس آجائے (تو) اسے بھی لے لیں، کیا ان سے کتابِ (الٰہی) کا یہ عہد نہیں لیا گیا تھا کہ وہ اللہ کے بارے میں حق (بات) کے سوا کچھ اور نہ کہیں گے؟ اور وہ (سب کچھ) پڑھ چکے تھے جو اس میں (لکھا) تھا؟ اور آخرت کا گھر ان لوگوں کے لئے بہتر ہے جو پرہیزگاری اختیار کرتے ہیں، کیا تم سمجھتے نہیں ہو

And there followed them successors who inherited the Scripture [while] taking the commodities of this lower life and saying, "It will be forgiven for us." And if an offer like it comes to them, they will [again] take it. Was not the covenant of the Scripture taken from them that they would not say about Allah except the truth, and they studied what was in it? And the home of the Hereafter is better for those who fear Allah, so will you not use reason?
وَالَّذِيۡنَ يُمَسِّكُوۡنَ بِالۡـكِتٰبِ وَاَقَامُوۡا الصَّلٰوةَ ؕ اِنَّا لَا نُضِيۡعُ اَجۡرَ الۡمُصۡلِحِيۡنَ
— Transliteration
Wallatheena yumassikoona bilkitabiwaaqamoo assalata inna lanudeeAAu ajra almusliheen

اور جو لوگ کتابِ (الٰہی) کو مضبوط پکڑے رہتے ہیں او ر نماز (پابندی سے) قائم رکھتے ہیں (تو) بیشک ہم اصلاح کرنے والوں کا اجر ضائع نہیں کرتے

But those who hold fast to the Book and establish prayer - indeed, We will not allow to be lost the reward of the reformers.
وَاِذۡ نَـتَقۡنَا الۡجَـبَلَ فَوۡقَهُمۡ كَاَنَّهٗ ظُلَّةٌ وَّظَنُّوۡۤا اَنَّهٗ وَاقِعٌۢ بِهِمۡۚ خُذُوۡا مَاۤ اٰتَيۡنٰكُمۡ بِقُوَّةٍ وَّاذۡكُرُوۡا مَا فِيۡهِ لَعَلَّكُمۡ تَتَّقُوۡنَ
— Transliteration
Wa-ith nataqna aljabalafawqahum kaannahu thullatun wathannooannahu waqiAAun bihim khuthoo ma ataynakumbiquwwatin wathkuroo ma feehi laAAallakumtattaqoon

And [mention] when We raised the mountain above them as if it was a dark cloud and they were certain that it would fall upon them, [and Allah said], "Take what We have given you with determination and remember what is in it that you might fear Allah."

And [mention] when your Lord took from the children of Adam - from their loins - their descendants and made them testify of themselves, [saying to them], "Am I not your Lord?" They said, "Yes, we have testified." [This] - lest you should say on the day of Resurrection, "Indeed, we were of this unaware."

Those were the ones upon whom Allah bestowed favor from among the prophets of the descendants of Adam and of those We carried [in the ship] with Noah, and of the descendants of Abraham and Israel, and of those whom We guided and chose. When the verses of the Most Merciful were recited to them, they fell in prostration and weeping.
