قَالَ يَبۡنَؤُمَّ لَا تَاۡخُذۡ بِلِحۡيَتِىۡ وَلَا بِرَاۡسِىۡۚ اِنِّىۡ خَشِيۡتُ اَنۡ تَقُوۡلَ فَرَّقۡتَ بَيۡنَ بَنِىۡۤ اِسۡرآءِيۡلَ وَلَمۡ تَرۡقُبۡ قَوۡلِى

Qala yabnaomma la ta/khuthbilihyatee wala bira/see innee khasheetu an taqoolafarraqta bayna banee isra-eela walam tarqub qawlee

(ہارون علیہ السلام نے) کہا: اے میری ماں کے بیٹے! آپ نہ میری داڑھی پکڑیں اور نہ میرا سر، میں (سختی کرنے میں) اس بات سے ڈرتا تھا کہ کہیں آپ یہ (نہ) کہیں کہ تم نے بنی اسرائیل کے درمیان فرقہ بندی کردی ہے اور میرے قول کی نگہداشت نہیں کی

[Aaron] said, "O son of my mother, do not seize [me] by my beard or by my head. Indeed, I feared that you would say, 'You caused division among the Children of Israel, and you did not observe [or await] my word.' "
