وَقَالَ لَهُمۡ نَبِيُّهُمۡ اِنَّ اٰيَةَ مُلۡکِهٖۤ اَنۡ يَّاۡتِيَکُمُ التَّابُوۡتُ فِيۡهِ سَکِيۡنَةٌ مِّنۡ رَّبِّکُمۡ وَبَقِيَّةٌ مِّمَّا تَرَكَ اٰلُ مُوۡسٰى وَاٰلُ هٰرُوۡنَ تَحۡمِلُهُ الۡمَلٰٓٮِٕكَةُ ؕ اِنَّ فِىۡ ذٰلِكَ لَاٰيَةً لَّـکُمۡ اِنۡ كُنۡتُمۡ مُّؤۡمِنِيۡنَ
— Transliteration
Waqala lahum nabiyyuhum inna ayatamulkihi an ya/tiyakumu attabootu feehi sakeenatunmin rabbikum wabaqiyyatun mimma taraka alu moosawaalu haroona tahmiluhu almala-ikatuinna fee thalika laayatan lakum in kuntum mu/mineen

اور ان کے نبی نے ان سے فرمایا: اس کی سلطنت (کے مِن جانِبِ اﷲ ہونے) کی نشانی یہ ہے کہ تمہارے پاس صندوق آئے گا اس میں تمہارے رب کی طرف سے سکونِ قلب کا سامان ہوگا اور کچھ آلِ موسٰی اور آلِ ہارون کے چھوڑے ہوئے تبرکات ہوں گے اسے فرشتوں نے اٹھایا ہوا ہوگا، اگر تم ایمان والے ہو تو بیشک اس میں تمہارے لئے بڑی نشانی ہے

And their prophet said to them, "Indeed, a sign of his kingship is that the chest will come to you in which is assurance from your Lord and a remnant of what the family of Moses and the family of Aaron had left, carried by the angels. Indeed in that is a sign for you, if you are believers."

فَمَنۡ يُّرِدِ اللّٰهُ اَنۡ يَّهۡدِيَهٗ يَشۡرَحۡ صَدۡرَهٗ لِلۡاِسۡلَامِۚ وَمَنۡ يُّرِدۡ اَنۡ يُّضِلَّهٗ يَجۡعَلۡ صَدۡرَهٗ ضَيِّقًا حَرَجًا كَاَنَّمَا يَصَّعَّدُ فِىۡ السَّمَآءِؕ كَذٰلِكَ يَجۡعَلُ اللّٰهُ الرِّجۡسَ عَلَى الَّذِيۡنَ لَا يُؤۡمِنُوۡنَ
— Transliteration
Faman yuridi Allahu an yahdiyahuyashrah sadrahu lil-islami waman yurid an yudillahuyajAAal sadrahu dayyiqan harajan kaannamayassaAAAAadu fee assama-i kathalikayajAAalu Allahu arrijsa AAala allatheenala yu/minoon

پس اﷲ جس کسی کو (فضلاً) ہدایت دینے کا ارادہ فرماتا ہے اس کا سینہ اسلام کے لئے کشادہ فرما دیتا ہے اور جس کسی کو (عدلاً اس کی اپنی خرید کردہ) گمراہی پر ہی رکھنے کا ارادہ فرماتا ہے اس کا سینہ (ایسی) شدید گھٹن کے ساتھ تنگ کر دیتا ہے گویا وہ بمشکل آسمان (یعنی بلندی) پر چڑھ رہا ہو، اسی طرح اﷲ ان لوگوں پر عذابِ (ذّلت) واقع فرماتا ہے جو ایمان نہیں لاتے

So whoever Allah wants to guide - He expands his breast to [contain] Islam; and whoever He wants to misguide - He makes his breast tight and constricted as though he were climbing into the sky. Thus does Allah place defilement upon those who do not believe.

اَنِ اقۡذِفِيۡهِ فِىۡ التَّابُوۡتِ فَاقۡذِفِيۡهِ فِىۡ الۡيَمِّ فَلۡيُلۡقِهِ الۡيَمُّ بِالسَّاحِلِ يَاۡخُذۡهُ عَدُوٌّ لِّىۡ وَعَدُوٌّ لَّهٗؕ وَاَلۡقَيۡتُ عَلَيۡكَ مَحَـبَّةً مِّنِّىۡ ۚ وَلِتُصۡنَعَ عَلٰى عَيۡنِىۡۘ
— Transliteration
Ani iqthifeehi fee attabootifaqthifeehi fee alyammi falyulqihi alyammu bissahiliya/khuthhu AAaduwwun lee waAAaduwwun lahu waalqaytuAAalayka mahabbatan minnee walitusnaAAa AAalaAAaynee

کہ تم اس (موسٰی علیہ السلام) کو صندوق میں رکھ دو پھر اس (صندوق) کو دریا میں ڈال دو پھر دریا اسے کنارے کے ساتھ آلگائے گا، اسے میرا دشمن اور اس کا دشمن اٹھا لے گا، اور میں نے تجھ پر اپنی جناب سے (خاص) محبت کا پرتَو ڈال دیا ہے (یعنی تیری صورت کو اس قدر پیاری اور من موہنی بنا دیا ہے کہ جو تجھے دیکھے گا فریفتہ ہو جائے گا)، اور (یہ اس لئے کیا) تاکہ تمہاری پرورش میری آنکھوں کے سامنے کی جائے

[Saying], 'Cast him into the chest and cast it into the river, and the river will throw it onto the bank; there will take him an enemy to Me and an enemy to him.' And I bestowed upon you love from Me that you would be brought up under My eye.

— Transliteration
Ma jaAAala Allahu lirajulin minqalbayni fee jawfihi wama jaAAala azwajakumu alla-eetuthahiroona minhunna ommahatikum wamajaAAala adAAiyaakum abnaakum thalikumqawlukum bi-afwahikum wallahu yaqoolu alhaqqawahuwa yahdee assabeel

اللہ نے کسی آدمی کے لئے اس کے پہلو میں دو دل نہیں بنائے، اور اس نے تمہاری بیویوں کو جنہیں تم ظِہار کرتے ہوئے ماں کہہ دیتے ہو تمہاری مائیں نہیں بنایا، اور نہ تمہارے منہ بولے بیٹوں کو تمہارے (حقیقی) بیٹے بنایا، یہ سب تمہارے منہ کی اپنی باتیں ہیں، اور اللہ حق بات فرماتا ہے، اور وہی (سیدھا) راستہ دکھاتا ہے

Allah has not made for a man two hearts in his interior. And He has not made your wives whom you declare unlawful your mothers. And he has not made your adopted sons your [true] sons. That is [merely] your saying by your mouths, but Allah says the truth, and He guides to the [right] way.
