اُحِلَّ لَـکُمۡ لَيۡلَةَ الصِّيَامِ الرَّفَثُ اِلٰى نِسَآٮِٕكُمۡؕ هُنَّ لِبَاسٌ لَّـكُمۡ وَاَنۡتُمۡ لِبَاسٌ لَّهُنَّؕ عَلِمَ اللّٰهُ اَنَّکُمۡ كُنۡتُمۡ تَخۡتَانُوۡنَ اَنۡفُسَکُمۡ فَتَابَ عَلَيۡكُمۡ وَعَفَا عَنۡكُمۡۚ فَالۡـٰٔـنَ بَاشِرُوۡهُنَّ وَابۡتَغُوۡا مَا کَتَبَ اللّٰهُ لَـكُمۡؕ وَكُلُوۡا وَاشۡرَبُوۡا حَتّٰى يَتَبَيَّنَ لَـكُمُ الۡخَـيۡطُ الۡاَبۡيَضُ مِنَ الۡخَـيۡطِ الۡاَسۡوَدِ مِنَ الۡفَجۡرِؕ ثُمَّ اَتِمُّوۡا الصِّيَامَ اِلَى الَّيۡلِۚ وَلَا تُبَاشِرُوۡهُنَّ وَاَنۡتُمۡ عَاكِفُونَ فِىۡ الۡمَسٰجِدِؕ تِلۡكَ حُدُوۡدُ اللّٰهِ فَلَا تَقۡرَبُوۡهَاؕ كَذٰلِكَ يُبَيِّنُ اللّٰهُ اٰيٰتِهٖ لِلنَّاسِ لَعَلَّهُمۡ يَتَّقُوۡنَ
— Transliteration
Ohilla lakum laylata assiyamiarrafathu ila nisa-ikum hunna libasunlakum waantum libasun lahunna AAalima Allahuannakum kuntum takhtanoona anfusakum fatabaAAalaykum waAAafa AAankum fal-ana bashiroohunnawabtaghoo ma kataba Allahu lakum wakuloo washraboohatta yatabayyana lakumu alkhaytu al-abyadumina alkhayti al-aswadi mina alfajri thumma atimmoo assiyamaila allayli wala tubashiroohunna waantum AAakifoonafee almasajidi tilka hudoodu Allahi falataqrabooha kathalika yubayyinu Allahu ayatihilinnasi laAAallahum yattaqoon

تمہارے لئے روزوں کی راتوں میں اپنی بیویوں کے پاس جانا حلال کر دیا گیا ہے، وہ تمہاری پوشاک ہیں اور تم ان کی پوشاک ہو، اﷲ کو معلوم ہے کہ تم اپنے حق میں خیانت کرتے تھے سو اس نے تمہارے حال پر رحم کیا اور تمہیں معاف فرما دیا، پس اب (روزوں کی راتوں میں بیشک) ان سے مباشرت کیا کرو اور جو اﷲ نے تمہارے لئے لکھ دیا ہے چاہا کرو اور کھاتے پیتے رہا کرو یہاں تک کہ تم پر صبح کا سفید ڈورا (رات کے) سیاہ ڈورے سے (الگ ہو کر) نمایاں ہو جائے، پھر روزہ رات (کی آمد) تک پورا کرو، اور عورتوں سے اس دوران شب باشی نہ کیا کرو جب تم مسجدوں میں اعتکاف بیٹھے ہو، یہ اﷲ کی (قائم کردہ) حدیں ہیں پس ان (کے توڑنے) کے نزدیک نہ جاؤ، اسی طرح اﷲ لوگوں کے لئے اپنی آیتیں (کھول کر) بیان فرماتا ہے تاکہ وہ پرہیزگاری اختیار کریں

It has been made permissible for you the night preceding fasting to go to your wives [for sexual relations]. They are clothing for you and you are clothing for them. Allah knows that you used to deceive yourselves, so He accepted your repentance and forgave you. So now, have relations with them and seek that which Allah has decreed for you. And eat and drink until the white thread of dawn becomes distinct to you from the black thread [of night]. Then complete the fast until the sunset. And do not have relations with them as long as you are staying for worship in the mosques. These are the limits [set by] Allah, so do not approach them. Thus does Allah make clear His ordinances to the people that they may become righteous.

Ya banee adama qad anzalnaAAalaykum libasan yuwaree saw-atikumwareeshan walibasu attaqwa thalikakhayrun thalika min ayati AllahilaAAallahum yaththakkaroon

اے اولادِ آدم! بیشک ہم نے تمہارے لئے (ایسا) لباس اتارا ہے جو تمہاری شرم گاہوں کو چھپائے اور (تمہیں) زینت بخشے اور (اس ظاہری لباس کے ساتھ ایک باطنی لباس بھی اتارا ہے اور وہی) تقوٰی کا لباس ہی بہتر ہے۔ یہ (ظاہر و باطن کے لباس سب) اﷲ کی نشانیاں ہیں تاکہ وہ نصیحت قبول کریں

O children of Adam, We have bestowed upon you clothing to conceal your private parts and as adornment. But the clothing of righteousness - that is best. That is from the signs of Allah that perhaps they will remember.

Unquestionably, they the disbelievers turn away their breasts to hide themselves from Him. Unquestionably, [even] when they cover themselves in their clothing, Allah knows what they conceal and what they declare. Indeed, He is Knowing of that within the breasts.

اور وہی ہے جس نے (فضا و بر کے علاوہ) بحر (یعنی دریاؤں اور سمندروں) کو بھی مسخر فرما دیا تاکہ تم اس میں سے تازہ (و پسندیدہ) گوشت کھاؤ اور تم اس میں سے موتی (وغیرہ) نکالو جنہیں تم زیبائش کے لئے پہنتے ہو، اور (اے انسان!) تُو کشتیوں (اور جہازوں) کو دیکھتا ہے جو (دریاؤں اور سمندروں کا) پانی چیرتے ہوئے اس میں چلے جاتے ہیں، اور (یہ سب کچھ اس لئے کیا) تاکہ تم (دور دور تک) اس کا فضل (یعنی رزق) تلاش کرو اور یہ کہ تم شکر گزار بن جاؤ

And it is He who subjected the sea for you to eat from it tender meat and to extract from it ornaments which you wear. And you see the ships plowing through it, and [He subjected it] that you may seek of His bounty; and perhaps you will be grateful.

And Allah presents an example: a city which was safe and secure, its provision coming to it in abundance from every location, but it denied the favors of Allah. So Allah made it taste the envelopment of hunger and fear for what they had been doing.

Those will have gardens of perpetual residence; beneath them rivers will flow. They will be adorned therein with bracelets of gold and will wear green garments of fine silk and brocade, reclining therein on adorned couches. Excellent is the reward, and good is the resting place.

وَقُل لِّـلۡمُؤۡمِنٰتِ يَغۡضُضۡنَ مِنۡ اَبۡصَارِهِنَّ وَيَحۡفَظۡنَ فُرُوۡجَهُنَّ وَلَا يُبۡدِيۡنَ زِيۡنَتَهُنَّ اِلَّا مَا ظَهَرَ مِنۡهَا وَلۡيَـضۡرِبۡنَ بِخُمُرِهِنَّ عَلٰى جُيُوۡبِهِنَّ وَلَا يُبۡدِيۡنَ زِيۡنَتَهُنَّ اِلَّا لِبُعُوۡلَتِهِنَّ اَوۡ اٰبَآٮِٕهِنَّ اَوۡ اٰبَآءِ بُعُوۡلَتِهِنَّ اَوۡ اَبۡنَآٮِٕهِنَّ اَوۡ اَبۡنَآءِ بُعُوۡلَتِهِنَّ اَوۡ اِخۡوٰنِهِنَّ اَوۡ بَنِىۡۤ اِخۡوَانِهِنَّ اَوۡ بَنِىۡۤ اَخَوٰتِهِنَّ اَوۡ نِسَآٮِٕهِنَّ اَوۡ مَا مَلَـكَتۡ اَيۡمَانُهُنَّ اَوِ التّٰبِعِيۡنَ غَيۡرِ اُولِىۡ الۡاِرۡبَةِ مِنَ الرِّجَالِ اَوِ الطِّفۡلِ الَّذِيۡنَ لَمۡ يَظۡهَرُوۡا عَلٰى عَوۡرٰتِ النِّسَآءِ وَلَا يَضۡرِبۡنَ بِاَرۡجُلِهِنَّ لِيُـعۡلَمَ مَا يُخۡفِيۡنَ مِنۡ زِيۡنَتِهِنَّؕ وَتُوۡبُوۡۤا اِلَى اللّٰهِ جَمِيۡعًا اَيُّهَ الۡمُؤۡمِنُوۡنَ لَعَلَّكُمۡ تُفۡلِحُوۡنَ
— Transliteration
Waqul lilmu/minati yaghdudnamin absarihinna wayahfathnafuroojahunna wala yubdeena zeenatahunna illa mathahara minha walyadribnabikhumurihinna AAala juyoobihinna wala yubdeenazeenatahunna illa libuAAoolatihinna aw aba-ihinnaaw aba-i buAAoolatihinna aw abna-ihinna awabna-i buAAoolatihinna aw ikhwanihinna aw baneeikhwanihinna aw banee akhawatihinna aw nisa-ihinnaaw ma malakat aymanuhunna awi attabiAAeenaghayri olee al-irbati mina arrijali awi attifliallatheena lam yathharoo AAala AAawratiannisa-i wala yadribnabi-arjulihinna liyuAAlama ma yukhfeena min zeenatihinnawatooboo ila Allahi jameeAAan ayyuhaalmu/minoona laAAallakum tuflihoon

اور آپ مومن عورتوں سے فرما دیں کہ وہ (بھی) اپنی نگاہیں نیچی رکھا کریں اور اپنی شرم گاہوں کی حفاظت کیا کریں اور اپنی آرائش و زیبائش کو ظاہر نہ کیا کریں سوائے (اسی حصہ) کے جو اس میں سے خود ظاہر ہوتا ہے اور وہ اپنے سروں پر اوڑھے ہوئے دوپٹے (اور چادریں) اپنے گریبانوں اور سینوں پر (بھی) ڈالے رہا کریں اور وہ اپنے بناؤ سنگھار کو (کسی پر) ظاہر نہ کیا کریں سوائے اپنے شوہروں کے یا اپنے باپ دادا یا اپنے شوہروں کے باپ دادا کے یا اپنے بیٹوں یا اپنے شوہروں کے بیٹوں کے یا اپنے بھائیوں یا اپنے بھتیجوں یا اپنے بھانجوں کے یا اپنی (ہم مذہب، مسلمان) عورتوں یا اپنی مملوکہ باندیوں کے یا مردوں میں سے وہ خدمت گار جو خواہش و شہوت سے خالی ہوں یا وہ بچے جو (کم سِنی کے باعث ابھی) عورتوں کی پردہ والی چیزوں سے آگاہ نہیں ہوئے (یہ بھی مستثنٰی ہیں) اور نہ (چلتے ہوئے) اپنے پاؤں (زمین پر اس طرح) مارا کریں کہ (پیروں کی جھنکار سے) ان کا وہ سنگھار معلوم ہو جائے جسے وہ (حکمِ شریعت سے) پوشیدہ کئے ہوئے ہیں، اور تم سب کے سب اللہ کے حضور توبہ کرو اے مومنو! تاکہ تم (ان احکام پر عمل پیرا ہو کر) فلاح پا جاؤ

And tell the believing women to reduce [some] of their vision and guard their private parts and not expose their adornment except that which [necessarily] appears thereof and to wrap [a portion of] their headcovers over their chests and not expose their adornment except to their husbands, their fathers, their husbands' fathers, their sons, their husbands' sons, their brothers, their brothers' sons, their sisters' sons, their women, that which their right hands possess, or those male attendants having no physical desire, or children who are not yet aware of the private aspects of women. And let them not stamp their feet to make known what they conceal of their adornment. And turn to Allah in repentance, all of you, O believers, that you might succeed.

And women of post-menstrual age who have no desire for marriage - there is no blame upon them for putting aside their outer garments [but] not displaying adornment. But to modestly refrain [from that] is better for them. And Allah is Hearing and Knowing.
