وَالۡوَالِدٰتُ يُرۡضِعۡنَ اَوۡلَادَهُنَّ حَوۡلَيۡنِ كَامِلَيۡنِ لِمَنۡ اَرَادَ اَنۡ يُّتِمَّ الرَّضَاعَةَ ؕ وَعَلَى الۡمَوۡلُوۡدِ لَهٗ رِزۡقُهُنَّ وَكِسۡوَتُهُنَّ بِالۡمَعۡرُوۡفِؕ لَا تُكَلَّفُ نَفۡسٌ اِلَّا وُسۡعَهَاۚ لَا تُضَآرَّ وَالِدَةٌۢ بِوَلَدِهَا وَلَا مَوۡلُوۡدٌ لَّهٗ بِوَلَدِهٖ وَعَلَى الۡوَارِثِ مِثۡلُ ذٰلِكَ ۚ فَاِنۡ اَرَادَا فِصَالاً عَنۡ تَرَاضٍ مِّنۡهُمَا وَتَشَاوُرٍ فَلَا جُنَاحَ عَلَيۡهِمَاؕ وَاِنۡ اَرَدتُّمۡ اَنۡ تَسۡتَرۡضِعُوۡٓا اَوۡلَادَكُمۡ فَلَا جُنَاحَ عَلَيۡكُمۡ اِذَا سَلَّمۡتُمۡ مَّآ اٰتَيۡتُمۡ بِالۡمَعۡرُوۡفِؕ وَاتَّقُوۡا اللّٰهَ وَاعۡلَمُوۡٓا اَنَّ اللّٰهَ بِمَا تَعۡمَلُوۡنَ بَصِيۡرٌ
— Transliteration
Walwalidatu yurdiAAnaawladahunna hawlayni kamilayni liman aradaan yutimma arradaAAata waAAala almawloodilahu rizquhunna wakiswatuhunna bilmaAAroofi latukallafu nafsun illa wusAAaha la tudarrawalidatun biwaladiha wala mawloodun lahubiwaladihi waAAala alwarithi mithlu thalikafa-in arada fisalan AAan taradinminhuma watashawurin fala junahaAAalayhima wa-in aradtum an tastardiAAoo awladakumfala junaha AAalaykum itha sallamtum maataytum bilmaAAroofi wattaqoo AllahawaAAlamoo anna Allaha bima taAAmaloona baseer

اور مائیں اپنے بچوں کو پورے دو برس تک دودھ پلائیں یہ (حکم) اس کے لئے ہے جو دودھ پلانے کی مدت پوری کرنا چاہے، اور دودھ پلانے والی ماؤں کا کھانا اور پہننا دستور کے مطابق بچے کے باپ پر لازم ہے، کسی جان کو اس کی طاقت سے بڑھ کر تکلیف نہ دی جائے، (اور) نہ ماں کو اس کے بچے کے باعث نقصان پہنچایا جائے اور نہ باپ کو اس کی اولاد کے سبب سے، اور وارثوں پر بھی یہی حکم عائد ہوگا، پھر اگر ماں باپ دونوں باہمی رضا مندی اور مشورے سے (دو برس سے پہلے ہی) دودھ چھڑانا چاہیں تو ان پر کوئی گناہ نہیں، اور پھر اگر تم اپنی اولاد کو (دایہ سے) دودھ پلوانے کا ارادہ رکھتے ہو تب بھی تم پر کوئی گناہ نہیں جب کہ جو تم دستور کے مطابق دیتے ہو انہیں ادا کر دو، اور اﷲ سے ڈرتے رہو اور یہ جان لو کہ بیشک جو کچھ تم کرتے ہو اﷲ اسے خوب دیکھنے والا ہے

Mothers may breastfeed their children two complete years for whoever wishes to complete the nursing [period]. Upon the father is the mothers' provision and their clothing according to what is acceptable. No person is charged with more than his capacity. No mother should be harmed through her child, and no father through his child. And upon the [father's] heir is [a duty] like that [of the father]. And if they both desire weaning through mutual consent from both of them and consultation, there is no blame upon either of them. And if you wish to have your children nursed by a substitute, there is no blame upon you as long as you give payment according to what is acceptable. And fear Allah and know that Allah is Seeing of what you do.

فَبِمَا رَحۡمَةٍ مِّنَ اللّٰهِ لِنۡتَ لَهُمۡۚ وَلَوۡ كُنۡتَ فَظًّا غَلِيۡظَ الۡقَلۡبِ لَاانْفَضُّوۡا مِنۡ حَوۡلِكَ فَاعۡفُ عَنۡهُمۡ وَاسۡتَغۡفِرۡ لَهُمۡ وَشَاوِرۡهُمۡ فِىۡ الۡاَمۡرِۚ فَاِذَا عَزَمۡتَ فَتَوَكَّلۡ عَلَى اللّٰهِؕ اِنَّ اللّٰهَ يُحِبُّ الۡمُتَوَكِّلِيۡنَ
— Transliteration
Fabima rahmatin mina Allahilinta lahum walaw kunta faththan ghaleethaalqalbi lanfaddoo min hawlika faAAfuAAanhum wastaghfir lahum washawirhum fee al-amrifa-itha AAazamta fatawakkal AAala Allahiinna Allaha yuhibbu almutawakkileen

(اے حبیبِ والا صفات!) پس اللہ کی کیسی رحمت ہے کہ آپ ان کے لئے نرم طبع ہیں، اور اگر آپ تُندخُو (اور) سخت دل ہوتے تو لوگ آپ کے گرد سے چھٹ کر بھاگ جاتے، سو آپ ان سے درگزر فرمایا کریں اور ان کے لئے بخشش مانگا کریں اور (اہم) کاموں میں ان سے مشورہ کیا کریں، پھر جب آپ پختہ ارادہ کر لیں تو اللہ پر بھروسہ کیا کریں، بیشک اللہ توکّل والوں سے محبت کرتا ہے

So by mercy from Allah, [O Muhammad], you were lenient with them. And if you had been rude [in speech] and harsh in heart, they would have disbanded from about you. So pardon them and ask forgiveness for them and consult them in the matter. And when you have decided, then rely upon Allah. Indeed, Allah loves those who rely [upon Him].

وَالَّذِيۡنَ اسۡتَجَابُوۡا لِرَبِّهِمۡ وَاَقَامُوۡا الصَّلٰوةَ وَاَمۡرُهُمۡ شُوۡرٰى بَيۡنَهُمۡ وَمِمَّا رَزَقۡنٰهُمۡ يُنۡفِقُوۡنَۚ
— Transliteration
Wallatheena istajaboolirabbihim waaqamoo assalatawaamruhum shoora baynahum wamimma razaqnahumyunfiqoon

اور جو لوگ اپنے رب کا فرمان قبول کرتے ہیں اور نماز قائم رکھتے ہیں اور اُن کا فیصلہ باہمی مشورہ سے ہوتا ہے اور اس مال میں سے جو ہم نے انہیں عطا کیا ہے خرچ کرتے ہیں

And those who have responded to their lord and established prayer and whose affair is [determined by] consultation among themselves, and from what We have provided them, they spend.
