يٰۤاَيُّهَا الَّذِيۡنَ اٰمَنُوۡا لَا تَكُوۡنُوۡا كَالَّذِيۡنَ كَفَرُوۡا وَقَالُوۡا لِاِخۡوَانِهِمۡ اِذَا ضَرَبُوۡا فِىۡ الۡاَرۡضِ اَوۡ كَانُوۡا غُزًّى لَّوۡ كَانُوۡا عِنۡدَنَا مَا مَاتُوۡا وَمَا قُتِلُوۡاۚ لِيَجۡعَلَ اللّٰهُ ذٰلِكَ حَسۡرَةً فِىۡ قُلُوۡبِهِمۡؕ وَاللّٰهُ يُحۡىٖ وَيُمِيۡتُؕ وَاللّٰهُ بِمَا تَعۡمَلُوۡنَ بَصِيۡرٌ
— Transliteration
Ya ayyuha allatheena amanoola takoonoo kallatheena kafaroo waqalooli-ikhwanihim itha daraboo fee al-ardiaw kanoo ghuzzan law kanoo AAindana mamatoo wama qutiloo liyajAAala Allahu thalikahasratan fee quloobihim wallahu yuhyeewayumeetu wallahu bima taAAmaloona baseer

اے ایمان والو! تم ان کافروں کی طرح نہ ہو جاؤ جو اپنے ان بھائیوں کے بارے میں یہ کہتے ہیں جو (کہیں) سفر پر گئے ہوں یا جہاد کر رہے ہوں (اور وہاں مر جائیں) کہ اگر وہ ہمارے پاس ہوتے تو نہ مرتے اور نہ قتل کئے جاتے، تاکہ اللہ اس (گمان) کو ان کے دلوں میں حسرت بنائے رکھے، اور اللہ ہی زندہ رکھتا اور مارتا ہے، اور اللہ تمہارے اعمال خوب دیکھ رہا ہے

O you who have believed, do not be like those who disbelieved and said about their brothers when they traveled through the land or went out to fight, "If they had been with us, they would not have died or have been killed," so Allah makes that [misconception] a regret within their hearts. And it is Allah who gives life and causes death, and Allah is Seeing of what you do.

— Transliteration
Muthabthabeena bayna thalikala ila haola-i wala ilahaola-i waman yudlili Allahu falantajida lahu sabeela

اس (کفر اور ایمان) کے درمیان تذبذب میں ہیں نہ ان (کافروں) کی طرف ہیں اور نہ ان (مؤمنوں) کی طرف ہیں، اورجسے اللہ گمراہ ٹھہرا دے تو آپ ہرگز اس کے لئے کوئی (ہدایت کی) راہ نہ پائیں گےo
— English
Wavering between them, [belonging] neither to the believers nor to the disbelievers. And whoever Allah leaves astray - never will you find for him a way.
يٰۤاَيُّهَا الَّذِيۡنَ اٰمَنُوۡا لَا تَتَّخِذُوۡا الۡكٰفِرِيۡنَ اَوۡلِيَآءَ مِنۡ دُوۡنِ الۡمُؤۡمِنِيۡنَؕ اَتُرِيۡدُوۡنَ اَنۡ تَجۡعَلُوۡا لِلّٰهِ عَلَيۡكُمۡ سُلۡطٰنًا مُّبِيۡنًا
— Transliteration
Ya ayyuha allatheena amanoola tattakhithoo alkafireena awliyaamin dooni almu/mineena atureedoona an tajAAaloo lillahiAAalaykum sultanan mubeena

اے ایمان والو! مسلمانوں کے سوا کافروں کو دوست نہ بناؤ، کیا تم چاہتے ہو کہ (نافرمانوں کی دوستی کے ذریعے) اپنے خلاف اللہ کی صریح حجت قائم کر لو o

O you who have believed, do not take the disbelievers as allies instead of the believers. Do you wish to give Allah against yourselves a clear case?

يٰۤاَيُّهَا الَّذِيۡنَ اٰمَنُوۡۤا اِنۡ تَتَّقُوۡا اللّٰهَ يَجۡعَل لَّـكُمۡ فُرۡقَانًا وَّيُكَفِّرۡ عَنۡكُمۡ سَيِّاٰتِكُمۡ وَيَغۡفِرۡ لَـكُمۡؕ وَاللّٰهُ ذُوۡ الۡفَضۡلِ الۡعَظِيۡمِ

Ya ayyuha allatheena amanooin tattaqoo Allaha yajAAal lakum furqananwayukaffir AAankum sayyi-atikum wayaghfir lakum wallahuthoo alfadli alAAatheem

اے ایمان والو! اگر تم اللہ کا تقوٰی اختیار کرو گے (تو) وہ تمہارے لئے حق و باطل میں فرق کرنے والی حجت (و ہدایت) مقرر فرما دے گا اور تمہارے (دامن) سے تمہارے گناہوں کو مٹا دے گا اور تمہاری مغفرت فرما دے گا، اور اللہ بڑے فضل والا ہے
— English
O you who have believed, if you fear Allah, He will grant you a criterion and will remove from you your misdeeds and forgive you. And Allah is the possessor of great bounty.
وَاِذۡ يَمۡكُرُ بِكَ الَّذِيۡنَ كَفَرُوۡا لِيُثۡبِتُوۡكَ اَوۡ يَقۡتُلُوۡكَ اَوۡ يُخۡرِجُوۡكَؕ وَيَمۡكُرُوۡنَ وَيَمۡكُرُ اللّٰهُؕ وَاللّٰهُ خَيۡرُ الۡمٰكِرِيۡنَ
— Transliteration
Wa-ith yamkuru bika allatheenakafaroo liyuthbitooka aw yaqtulooka aw yukhrijooka wayamkuroonawayamkuru Allahu wallahu khayru almakireen

اور جب کافر لوگ آپ کے خلاف خفیہ سازشیں کر رہے تھے کہ وہ آپ کو قید کر دیں یا آپ کو قتل کر ڈالیں یا آپ کو (وطن سے) نکال دیں، اور (اِدھر) وہ سازشی منصوبے بنا رہے تھے اور (اُدھر) اللہ (ان کے مکر کے ردّ کے لئے اپنی) تدبیر فرما رہا تھا، اور اللہ سب سے بہتر مخفی تدبیر فرمانے والا ہے

And [remember, O Muhammad], when those who disbelieved plotted against you to restrain you or kill you or evict you [from Makkah]. But they plan, and Allah plans. And Allah is the best of planners.

La yasta/thinuka allatheenayu/minoona billahi walyawmi al-akhirian yujahidoo bi-amwalihim waanfusihim wallahuAAaleemun bilmuttaqeen

وہ لوگ جو اللہ پر اور یومِ آخرت پر ایمان رکھتے ہیں آپ سے (اس بات کی) رخصت طلب نہیں کریں گے کہ وہ اپنے مال و جان سے جہاد (نہ) کریں، اور اللہ پرہیزگاروں کو خوب جانتا ہے

Those who believe in Allah and the Last Day would not ask permission of you to be excused from striving with their wealth and their lives. And Allah is Knowing of those who fear Him.

— Transliteration
Waminhum man yaqoolu i/than lee walataftinnee ala fee alfitnati saqatoo wa-innajahannama lamuheetatun bilkafireen

اور ان میں سے وہ شخص (بھی) ہے جو کہتا ہے کہ آپ مجھے اجازت دے دیجئے (کہ میں جہاد پر جانے کی بجائے گھر ٹھہرا رہوں) اور مجھے فتنہ میں نہ ڈالئے، سن لو! کہ وہ فتنہ میں (تو خود ہی) گر پڑے ہیں، اور بیشک جہنم کافروں کو گھیرے ہوئے ہے
— English
And among them is he who says, "Permit me [to remain at home] and do not put me to trial." Unquestionably, into trial they have fallen. And indeed, Hell will encompass the disbelievers.

اِنَّ اللّٰهَ اشۡتَرٰى مِنَ الۡمُؤۡمِنِيۡنَ اَنۡفُسَهُمۡ وَاَمۡوَالَهُمۡ بِاَنَّ لَهُمُ الۡجَــنَّةَ ؕ يُقَاتِلُوۡنَ فِىۡ سَبِيۡلِ اللّٰهِ فَيَقۡتُلُوۡنَ وَ يُقۡتَلُوۡنَوَعۡدًا عَلَيۡهِ حَقًّا فِىۡ التَّوۡرٰٮةِ وَالۡاِنۡجِيۡلِ وَالۡقُرۡاٰنِ ؕ وَمَنۡ اَوۡفٰى بِعَهۡدِهٖ مِنَ اللّٰهِ فَاسۡتَـبۡشِرُوۡا بِبَيۡعِكُمُ الَّذِىۡ بَايَعۡتُمۡ بِهٖ ؕ وَذٰلِكَ هُوَ الۡفَوۡزُ الۡعَظِيۡمُ
— Transliteration
Inna Allaha ishtara minaalmu/mineena anfusahum waamwalahum bi-anna lahumualjannata yuqatiloona fee sabeeli Allahifayaqtuloona wayuqtaloona waAAdan AAalayhi haqqan fee attawratiwal-injeeli walqur-ani waman awfabiAAahdihi mina Allahi fastabshiroo bibayAAikumuallathee bayaAAtum bihi wathalika huwaalfawzu alAAatheem

بیشک اﷲ نے اہلِ ایمان سے ان کی جانیں اور ان کے مال، ان کے لئے جنت کے عوض خرید لئے ہیں، (اب) وہ اللہ کی راہ میں قتال کرتے ہیں، سو وہ (حق کی خاطر) قتل کرتے ہیں اور (خود بھی) قتل کئے جاتے ہیں۔ (اﷲ نے) اپنے ذمۂ کرم پر پختہ وعدہ (لیا) ہے، تَورات میں (بھی) انجیل میں (بھی) اور قرآن میں (بھی)، اور کون اپنے وعدہ کو اﷲ سے زیادہ پورا کرنے والا ہے، سو (ایمان والو!) تم اپنے سودے پر خوشیاں مناؤ جس کے عوض تم نے (جان و مال کو) بیچا ہے، اور یہی تو زبردست کامیابی ہے

Indeed, Allah has purchased from the believers their lives and their properties [in exchange] for that they will have Paradise. They fight in the cause of Allah, so they kill and are killed. [It is] a true promise [binding] upon Him in the Torah and the Gospel and the Qur'an. And who is truer to his covenant than Allah? So rejoice in your transaction which you have contracted. And it is that which is the great attainment.
التَّاۤٮِٕبُوۡنَ الۡعٰبِدُوۡنَ الۡحَـامِدُوۡنَ السّاۤٮِٕحُوۡنَ الرّٰكِعُوۡنَ السّٰجِدُوۡنَ الۡاٰمِرُوۡنَ بِالۡمَعۡرُوۡفِ وَالنَّاهُوۡنَ عَنِ الۡمُنۡكَرِ وَالۡحٰــفِظُوۡنَ لِحُدُوۡدِ اللّٰه ِؕ وَبَشِّرِ الۡمُؤۡمِنِيۡنَ
— Transliteration
Atta-iboona alAAabidoonaalhamidoona assa-ihoona arrakiAAoonaassajidoona al-amiroona bilmaAAroofiwannahoona AAani almunkari walhafithoonalihudoodi Allahi wabashshiri almu/mineen

(یہ مومنین جنہوں نے اللہ سے اُخروی سودا کر لیا ہے) توبہ کرنے والے، عبادت گذار، (اللہ کی) حمد و ثنا کرنے والے، دنیوی لذتوں سے کنارہ کش روزہ دار، (خشوع و خضوع سے) رکوع کرنے والے، (قربِ الٰہی کی خاطر) سجود کرنے والے، نیکی کاحکم کرنے والے اور برائی سے روکنے والے اور اللہ کی (مقرر کردہ) حدود کی حفاظت کرنے والے ہیں، اور ان اہلِ ایمان کو خوشخبری سنا دیجئے

[Such believers are] the repentant, the worshippers, the praisers [of Allah], the travelers [for His cause], those who bow and prostrate [in prayer], those who enjoin what is right and forbid what is wrong, and those who observe the limits [set by] Allah. And give good tidings to the believers.
