— Transliteration
Wa-itha tawalla saAAafee al-ardi liyufsida feeha wayuhlika alharthawannasla wallahu la yuhibbualfasad

اور جب وہ (آپ سے) پھر جاتا ہے تو زمین میں (ہر ممکن) بھاگ دوڑ کرتا ہے تاکہ اس میں فساد انگیزی کرے اور کھیتیاں اور جانیں تباہ کر دے، اور اﷲ فساد کو پسند نہیں فرماتا

And when he goes away, he strives throughout the land to cause corruption therein and destroy crops and animals. And Allah does not like corruption.

The example of what they spend in this worldly life is like that of a wind containing frost which strikes the harvest of a people who have wronged themselves and destroys it. And Allah has not wronged them, but they wrong themselves.

— Transliteration
WajaAAaloo lillahi mimma tharaamina alharthi wal-anAAami naseebanfaqaloo hatha lillahi bizaAAmihim wahathalishuraka-ina fama kana lishuraka-ihimfala yasilu ila Allahi wama kanalillahi fahuwa yasilu ila shuraka-ihimsaa ma yahkumoon

انہوں نے اﷲ کے لئے انہی (چیزوں) میں سے ایک حصہ مقرر کر لیا ہے جنہیں اس نے کھیتی اور مویشیوں میں سے پیدا فرمایا ہے پھر اپنے گمانِ (باطل) سے کہتے ہیں کہ یہ (حصہ) اﷲ کے لئے ہے اور یہ ہمارے (خود ساختہ) شریکوں کے لئے ہے، پھر جو (حصہ) ان کے شریکوں کے لئے ہے سو وہ تو اﷲ تک نہیں پہنچتا اور جو (حصہ) اﷲ کے لئے ہے تو وہ ان کے شریکوں تک پہنچ جاتا ہے، (وہ) کیا ہی برا فیصلہ کر رہے ہیں

And the polytheists assign to Allah from that which He created of crops and livestock a share and say, "This is for Allah," by their claim, "and this is for our partners [associated with Him]." But what is for their "partners" does not reach Allah, while what is for Allah - this reaches their "partners." Evil is that which they rule.

اور اپنے خیالِ (باطل) سے (یہ بھی) کہتے ہیں کہ یہ (مخصوص) مویشی اور کھیتی ممنوع ہے، اسے کوئی نہیں کھا سکتا سوائے اس کے جسے ہم چاہیں اور (یہ کہ بعض) چوپائے ایسے ہیں جن کی پیٹھ (پر سواری) کو حرام کیا گیا ہے اور (بعض) مویشی ایسے ہیں کہ جن پر (ذبح کے وقت) یہ لوگ اﷲ کا نام نہیں لیتے (یہ سب) اﷲ پر بہتان باندھنا ہے، عنقریب وہ انہیں (اس بات کی) سزا دے گا جو وہ بہتان باندھتے تھے

And they say, "These animals and crops are forbidden; no one may eat from them except whom we will," by their claim. And there are those [camels] whose backs are forbidden [by them] and those upon which the name of Allah is not mentioned - [all of this] an invention of untruth about Him. He will punish them for what they were inventing.

Wahuwa allathee anshaa jannatinmaAArooshatin waghayra maAArooshatin wannakhlawazzarAAa mukhtalifan okuluhu wazzaytoona warrummanamutashabihan waghayra mutashabihin kuloo minthamarihi itha athmara waatoo haqqahu yawma hasadihiwala tusrifoo innahu la yuhibbu almusrifeen

اور وہی ہے جس نے برداشتہ اور غیر برداشتہ (یعنی بیلوں کے ذریعے اوپر چڑھائے گئے اور بغیر اوپر چڑھائے گئے) باغات پیدا فرمائے اور کھجور (کے درخت) اور زراعت جس کے پھل گوناگوں ہیں اور زیتون اور انار (جو شکل میں) ایک دوسرے سے ملتے جلتے ہیں اور (ذائقہ میں) جداگانہ ہیں (بھی پیدا کئے)۔ جب (یہ درخت) پھل لائیں تو تم ان کے پھل کھایا (بھی) کرو اور اس (کھیتی اور پھل) کے کٹنے کے دن اس کا (اﷲ کی طرف سے مقرر کردہ) حق (بھی) ادا کر دیا کرو اور فضول خرچی نہ کیا کرو، بیشک وہ بے جا خرچ کرنے والوں کو پسند نہیں کرتا

And He it is who causes gardens to grow, [both] trellised and untrellised, and palm trees and crops of different [kinds of] food and olives and pomegranates, similar and dissimilar. Eat of [each of] its fruit when it yields and give its due [zakah] on the day of its harvest. And be not excessive. Indeed, He does not like those who commit excess.

Yunbitu lakum bihi azzarAAa wazzaytoonawannakheela wal-aAAnaba wamin kulli aththamaratiinna fee thalika laayatan liqawmin yatafakkaroon

Qala araayta ith awaynaila assakhrati fa-innee naseetu alhootawama ansaneehu illa ashshaytanuan athkurahu wattakhatha sabeelahu fee albahriAAajaba

(خادم نے) کہا: کیا آپ نے دیکھا جب ہم نے پتھر کے پاس آرام کیا تھا تو میں (وہاں) مچھلی بھول گیا تھا، اور مجھے یہ کسی نے نہیں بھلایا سوائے شیطان کے کہ میں آپ سے اس کا ذکر کروں، اور اس (مچھلی) نے تو (زندہ ہوکر) دریا میں عجیب طریقہ سے اپنا راستہ بنا لیا تھا (اور وہ غائب ہو گئی تھی)

He said, "Did you see when we retired to the rock? Indeed, I forgot [there] the fish. And none made me forget it except Satan - that I should mention it. And it took its course into the sea amazingly".
قَالَ ذٰلِكَ مَا كُنَّا نَبۡغِۖ فَارۡتَدَّا عَلٰٓى اٰثَارِهِمَا قَصَصًاۙ

Qala thalika ma kunnanabghi fartadda AAala atharihimaqasasa

Alam tara anna Allaha anzala mina assama-imaan fasalakahu yanabeeAAa fee al-ardithumma yukhriju bihi zarAAan mukhtalifan alwanuhu thummayaheeju fatarahu musfarran thumma yajAAaluhu hutamaninna fee thalika lathikra li-olee al-albab

(اے انسان!) کیا تو نے نہیں دیکھا کہ اللہ نے آسمان سے پانی برسایا، پھر زمین میں اس کے چشمے رواں کیے، پھر اس کے ذریعے کھیتی پیدا کرتا ہے جس کے رنگ جداگانہ ہوتے ہیں، پھر وہ (تیار ہوکر) خشک ہو جاتی ہے، پھر (پکنے کے بعد) تو اسے زرد دیکھتا ہے، پھر وہ اسے چورا چورا کر دیتا ہے، بے شک اس میں عقل والوں کے لئے نصیحت ہے

Do you not see that Allah sends down rain from the sky and makes it flow as springs [and rivers] in the earth; then He produces thereby crops of varying colors; then they dry and you see them turned yellow; then He makes them [scattered] debris. Indeed in that is a reminder for those of understanding.

If We willed, We could make it [dry] debris, and you would remain in wonder,
