— Transliteration
Fa-in amanoo bimithli ma amantumbihi faqadi ihtadaw wa-in tawallaw fa-innama hum fee shiqaqinfasayakfeekahumu Allahu wahuwa assameeAAualAAaleem

پھر اگر وہ (بھی) اسی طرح ایمان لائیں جیسے تم اس پر ایمان لائے ہو تو وہ (واقعی) ہدایت پا جائیں گے، اور اگر وہ منہ پھیر لیں تو (سمجھ لیں کہ) وہ محض مخالفت میں ہیں، پس اب اللہ آپ کو ان کے شر سے بچانے کے لئے کافی ہوگا، اور وہ خوب سننے والا جاننے والا ہے

So if they believe in the same as you believe in, then they have been [rightly] guided; but if they turn away, they are only in dissension, and Allah will be sufficient for you against them. And He is the Hearing, the Knowing.

That is [deserved by them] because Allah has sent down the Book in truth. And indeed, those who differ over the Book are in extreme dissension.

And of the people is he whose speech pleases you in worldly life, and he calls Allah to witness as to what is in his heart, yet he is the fiercest of opponents.

آپ یقیناً ایمان والوں کے حق میں بلحاظِ عداوت سب لوگوں سے زیادہ سخت یہودیوں اور مشرکوں کو پائیں گے، اور آپ یقیناً ایمان والوں کے حق میں بلحاظِ محبت سب سے قریب تر ان لوگوں کو پائیں گے جو کہتے ہیں: بیشک ہم نصاریٰ ہیں۔ یہ اس لئے کہ ان میں علماءِ (شریعت بھی) ہیں اور (عبادت گزار) گوشہ نشین بھی ہیں اور (نیز) وہ تکبر نہیں کرتے

You will surely find the most intense of the people in animosity toward the believers [to be] the Jews and those who associate others with Allah; and you will find the nearest of them in affection to the believers those who say, "We are Christians." That is because among them are priests and monks and because they are not arrogant.

Would you not fight a people who broke their oaths and determined to expel the Messenger, and they had begun [the attack upon] you the first time? Do you fear them? But Allah has more right that you should fear Him, if you are [truly] believers.

Thumma yawma alqiyamati yukhzeehimwayaqoolu ayna shuraka-iya allatheena kuntum tushaqqoonafeehim qala allatheena ootoo alAAilma inna alkhizyaalyawma wassoo-a AAala alkafireen

Then on the Day of Resurrection He will disgrace them and say, "Where are My 'partners' for whom you used to oppose [the believers]?" Those who were given knowledge will say, "Indeed disgrace, this Day, and evil are upon the disbelievers" -

بیشک جن لوگوں نے کفر کیا اور (لوگوں کو) اﷲ کی راہ سے روکا اور رسول (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کی مخالفت (اور ان سے جدائی کی راہ اختیار) کی اس کے بعد کہ ان پر ہدایت (یعنی عظمتِ رسول صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کی معرفت) واضح ہو چکی تھی وہ اللہ کا ہرگز کچھ نقصان نہیں کر سکیں گے (یعنی رسول صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کی قدر و منزلت کو گھٹا نہیں سکیں گے)،٭ اور اﷲ ان کے (سارے) اعمال کو (مخالفتِ رسول صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کے باعث) نیست و نابود کر دے گاo

Indeed, those who disbelieved and averted [people] from the path of Allah and opposed the Messenger after guidance had become clear to them - never will they harm Allah at all, and He will render worthless their deeds.

La yuqatiloonakum jameeAAanilla fee quran muhassanatin aw min wara-ijudurin ba/suhum baynahum shadeedun tahsabuhum jameeAAanwaquloobuhum shatta thalika bi-annahum qawmun layaAAqiloon

وہ (مدینہ کے یہود اور منافقین) سب مل کر (بھی) تم سے جنگ نہ کرسکیں گے سوائے قلعہ بند شہروں میں یا دیواروں کی آڑ میں، اُن کی لڑائی اُن کے آپس میں (ہی) سخت ہے، تم انہیں اکٹھا سمجھتے ہو حالانکہ اُن کے دل باہم متفرّق ہیں، یہ اس لئے کہ وہ لوگ عقل سے کام نہیں لیتےo

They will not fight you all except within fortified cities or from behind walls. Their violence among themselves is severe. You think they are together, but their hearts are diverse. That is because they are a people who do not reason.
