الَّذِيۡنَ يُنۡفِقُوۡنَ اَمۡوَالَهُمۡ فِىۡ سَبِيۡلِ اللّٰهِ ثُمَّ لَا يُتۡبِعُوۡنَ مَاۤ اَنۡفَقُوۡا مَنًّا وَّلَاۤ اَذًىۙ لَّهُمۡ اَجۡرُهُمۡ عِنۡدَ رَبِّهِمۡۚ وَلَا خَوۡفٌ عَلَيۡهِمۡ وَلَا هُمۡ يَحۡزَنُوۡنَ
— Transliteration
Allatheena yunfiqoona amwalahumfee sabeeli Allahi thumma la yutbiAAoona maanfaqoo mannan wala athan lahum ajruhum AAindarabbihim wala khawfun AAalayhim wala hum yahzanoon

جو لوگ اﷲ کی راہ میں اپنے مال خرچ کرتے ہیں پھر اپنے خرچ کئے ہوئے کے پیچھے نہ احسان جتلاتے ہیں اور نہ اذیت دیتے ہیں ان کے لئے ان کے رب کے پاس ان کا اجر ہے اور (روزِ قیامت) ان پر نہ کوئی خوف ہوگا اور نہ وہ غمگین ہوں گے

Those who spend their wealth in the way of Allah and then do not follow up what they have spent with reminders [of it] or [other] injury will have their reward with their Lord, and there will be no fear concerning them, nor will they grieve.

يٰۤاَيُّهَا الَّذِيۡنَ اٰمَنُوۡا لَا تُبۡطِلُوۡا صَدَقٰتِكُمۡ بِالۡمَنِّ وَالۡاَذٰىۙ كَالَّذِىۡ يُنۡفِقُ مَالَهٗ رِئَآءَ النَّاسِ وَلَا يُؤۡمِنُ بِاللّٰهِ وَالۡيَوۡمِ الۡاٰخِرِؕ فَمَثَلُهٗ كَمَثَلِ صَفۡوَانٍ عَلَيۡهِ تُرَابٌ فَاَصَابَهٗ وَابِلٌ فَتَرَكَهٗ صَلۡدًاؕ لَا يَقۡدِرُوۡنَ عَلٰى شَىۡءٍ مِّمَّا كَسَبُوۡاؕ وَاللّٰهُ لَا يَهۡدِىۡ الۡقَوۡمَ الۡـكٰفِرِيۡنَ
— Transliteration
Ya ayyuha allatheena amanoola tubtiloo sadaqatikum bilmanniwal-atha kallathee yunfiqu malahuri-aa annasi wala yu/minu billahiwalyawmi al-akhiri famathaluhu kamathali safwaninAAalayhi turabun faasabahu wabilunfatarakahu saldan la yaqdiroona AAalashay-in mimma kasaboo wallahu layahdee alqawma alkafireen

اے ایمان والو! اپنے صدقات (بعد ازاں) احسان جتا کر اور دُکھ دے کر اس شخص کی طرح برباد نہ کر لیا کرو جو مال لوگوں کے دکھانے کے لئے خرچ کرتا ہے اور نہ اﷲ پر ایمان رکھتا ہے اور نہ روزِ قیامت پر، اس کی مثال ایک ایسے چکنے پتھر کی سی ہے جس پر تھوڑی سی مٹی پڑی ہو پھر اس پر زوردار بارش ہو تو وہ اسے (پھر وہی) سخت اور صاف (پتھر) کر کے ہی چھوڑ دے، سو اپنی کمائی میں سے ان (ریاکاروں) کے ہاتھ کچھ بھی نہیں آئے گا، اور اﷲ کافر قوم کو ہدایت نہیں فرماتا
— English
O you who have believed, do not invalidate your charities with reminders or injury as does one who spends his wealth [only] to be seen by the people and does not believe in Allah and the Last Day. His example is like that of a [large] smooth stone upon which is dust and is hit by a downpour that leaves it bare. They are unable [to keep] anything of what they have earned. And Allah does not guide the disbelieving people.

Yureedu an yukhrijakum min ardikumbisihrihi famatha ta/muroon

He wants to drive you out of your land by his magic, so what do you advise?"
قَالُوۡۤا اَرۡجِهۡ وَاَخَاهُ وَابۡعَثۡ فِىۡ الۡمَدَآٮِٕنِ حٰشِرِيۡنَۙ

Qaloo arjih waakhahu wabAAathfee almada-ini hashireen

وہ بولے کہ تو اسے اور اس کے بھائی (ہارون کے حکمِ سزا سنانے) کو مؤخر کر دے اور (تمام) شہروں میں (جادوگروں کو بلانے کے لئے) ہرکارے بھیج دے

They consider it a favor to you that they have accepted Islam. Say, "Do not consider your Islam a favor to me. Rather, Allah has conferred favor upon you that He has guided you to the faith, if you should be truthful."
