For those who swear not to have sexual relations with their wives is a waiting time of four months, but if they return [to normal relations] - then indeed, Allah is Forgiving and Merciful.

اور تم میں سے جو فوت ہو جائیں اور (اپنی) بیویاں چھوڑ جائیں تو وہ اپنے آپ کو چار ماہ دس دن انتظار میں روکے رکھیں، پھر جب وہ اپنی عدت (پوری ہونے) کو آپہنچیں تو پھر جو کچھ وہ شرعی دستور کے مطابق اپنے حق میں کریں تم پر اس معاملے میں کوئی مؤاخذہ نہیں، اور جو کچھ تم کرتے ہو اﷲ اس سے اچھی طرح خبردار ہے

And those who are taken in death among you and leave wives behind - they, [the wives, shall] wait four months and ten [days]. And when they have fulfilled their term, then there is no blame upon you for what they do with themselves in an acceptable manner. And Allah is [fully] Acquainted with what you do.

اور (وہ واقعہ بھی یاد کریں) جب ابراہیم (علیہ السلام) نے عرض کیا: میرے رب! مجھے دکھا دے کہ تُو مُردوں کو کس طرح زندہ فرماتا ہے؟ ارشاد ہوا: کیا تم یقین نہیں رکھتے؟ اس نے عرض کیا: کیوں نہیں (یقین رکھتا ہوں) لیکن (چاہتا ہوں کہ) میرے دل کو بھی خوب سکون نصیب ہو جائے، ارشاد فرمایا: سو تم چار پرندے پکڑ لو پھر انہیں اپنی طرف مانوس کر لو پھر (انہیں ذبح کر کے) ان کا ایک ایک ٹکڑا ایک ایک پہاڑ پر رکھ دو پھر انہیں بلاؤ وہ تمہارے پاس دوڑتے ہوئے آجائیں گے، اور جان لو کہ یقینا اﷲ بڑا غالب بڑی حکمت والا ہے

And [mention] when Abraham said, "My Lord, show me how You give life to the dead." [Allah] said, "Have you not believed?" He said, "Yes, but [I ask] only that my heart may be satisfied." [Allah] said, "Take four birds and commit them to yourself. Then [after slaughtering them] put on each hill a portion of them; then call them - they will come [flying] to you in haste. And if you fear that you will not deal justly with the orphan girls, then marry those that please you of [other] women, two or three or four. But if you fear that you will not be just, then [marry only] one or those your right hand possesses. That is more suitable that you may not incline [to injustice].

Inna AAiddata ashshuhoori AAinda Allahiithna AAashara shahran fee kitabi Allahiyawma khalaqa assamawati wal-ardaminha arbaAAatun hurumun thalika addeenualqayyimu fala tathlimoo feehinna anfusakumwaqatiloo almushrikeena kaffatan kama yuqatiloonakumkaffatan waAAlamoo anna Allaha maAAaalmuttaqeen

بیشک اللہ کے نزدیک مہینوں کی گنتی اللہ کی کتاب (یعنی نوشتۂ قدرت) میں بارہ مہینے (لکھی) ہے جس دن سے اس نے آسمانوں اور زمین (کے نظام) کو پیدا فرمایا تھا ان میں سے چار مہینے (رجب، ذو القعدہ، ذو الحجہ اور محرم) حرمت والے ہیں۔ یہی سیدھا دین ہے سو تم ان مہینوں میں (ازخود جنگ و قتال میں ملوث ہو کر) اپنی جانوں پر ظلم نہ کرنا اور تم (بھی) تمام مشرکین سے اسی طرح (جوابی) جنگ کیا کرو جس طرح وہ سب کے سب (اکٹھے ہو کر) تم سے جنگ کرتے ہیں، اور جان لو کہ بیشک اللہ پرہیزگاروں کے ساتھ ہے

Indeed, the number of months with Allah is twelve [lunar] months in the register of Allah [from] the day He created the heavens and the earth; of these, four are sacred. That is the correct religion, so do not wrong yourselves during them. And fight against the disbelievers collectively as they fight against you collectively. And know that Allah is with the righteous [who fear Him].

تمام تعریفیں اﷲ ہی کے لئے ہیں جو آسمانوں اور زمین (کی تمام وسعتوں) کا پیدا فرمانے والا ہے، فرشتوں کو جو دو دو اور تین تین اور چار چار پَروں والے ہیں، قاصد بنانے والا ہے، اور تخلیق میں جس قدر چاہتا ہے اضافہ (اور توسیع) فرماتا رہتا ہے، بیشک اﷲ ہر چیز پر بڑا قادر ہے

[All] praise is [due] to Allah, Creator of the heavens and the earth, [who] made the angels messengers having wings, two or three or four. He increases in creation what He wills. Indeed, Allah is over all things competent.

خَلَقَكُمۡ مِّنۡ نَّفۡسٍ وَّاحِدَةٍ ثُمَّ جَعَلَ مِنۡهَا زَوۡجَهَا وَاَنۡزَلَ لَـكُمۡ مِّنَ الۡاَنۡعَامِ ثَمٰنِيَةَ اَزۡوَاجٍؕ يَخۡلُقُكُمۡ فِىۡ بُطُوۡنِ اُمَّهٰتِكُمۡ خَلۡقًا مِّنۡۢ بَعۡدِ خَلۡقٍ فِىۡ ظُلُمٰتٍ ثَلٰثٍؕ ذٰلِكُمُ اللّٰهُ رَبُّكُمۡ لَهُ الۡمُلۡكُؕ لَاۤ اِلٰهَ اِلَّا هُوَۚ فَاَنّٰى تُصۡرَفُوۡنَ
— Transliteration
Khalaqakum min nafsin wahidatin thummajaAAala minha zawjaha waanzala lakum mina al-anAAamithamaniyata azwajin yakhluqukum fee butooniommahatikum khalqan min baAAdi khalqin fee thulumatinthalathin thalikumu Allahu rabbukum lahualmulku la ilaha illa huwa faanna tusrafoon

اس نے تم سب کو ایک حیاتیاتی خلیہ سے پیدا فرمایا پھر اس سے اسی جیسا جوڑ بنایا پھر اس نے تمہارے لئے آٹھ جاندار جانور مہیا کئے، وہ تمہاری ماؤں کے رحموں میں ایک تخلیقی مرحلہ سے اگلے تخلیقی مرحلہ میں ترتیب کے ساتھ تمہاری تشکیل کرتا ہے (اس عمل کو) تین قِسم کے تاریک پردوں میں (مکمل فرماتا ہے)، یہی تمہارا پروردگار ہے جو سب قدرت و سلطنت کا مالک ہے، اس کے سوا کوئی معبود نہیں، پھر (تخلیق کے یہ مخفی حقائق جان لینے کے بعد بھی) تم کہاں بہکے پھرتے ہو

He created you from one soul. Then He made from it its mate, and He produced for you from the grazing livestock eight mates. He creates you in the wombs of your mothers, creation after creation, within three darknesses. That is Allah, your Lord; to Him belongs dominion. There is no deity except Him, so how are you averted?

— Transliteration
WajaAAala feeha rawasiya minfawqiha wabaraka feeha waqaddara feehaaqwataha fee arbaAAati ayyamin sawaanlissa-ileen

اور اُس کے اندر (سے) بھاری پہاڑ (نکال کر) اس کے اوپر رکھ دیئے اور اس کے اندر (معدنیات، آبی ذخائر، قدرتی وسائل اور دیگر قوتوں کی) برکت رکھی، اور اس میں (جملہ مخلوق کے لئے) غذائیں (اور سامانِ معیشت) مقرر فرمائے (یہ سب کچھ اس نے) چار دنوں (یعنی چار ارتقائی زمانوں) میں مکمل کیا، (یہ سارا رِزق اصلًا) تمام طلب گاروں (اور حاجت مندوں) کے لئے برابر ہے

And He placed on the earth firmly set mountains over its surface, and He blessed it and determined therein its [creatures'] sustenance in four days without distinction - for [the information] of those who ask.
