— Transliteration
Waqaloo lan yadkhula aljannata illaman kana hoodan aw nasara tilka amaniyyuhumqul hatoo burhanakum in kuntum sadiqeen

اور (اہلِ کتاب) کہتے ہیں کہ جنت میں ہرگز کوئی بھی داخل نہیں ہوگا سوائے اس کے کہ وہ یہودی ہو یا نصرانی، یہ ان کی باطل امیدیں ہیں، آپ فرما دیں کہ اگر تم (اپنے دعوے میں) سچے ہو تو اپنی (اس خواہش پر) سند لاؤ

And they say, "None will enter Paradise except one who is a Jew or a Christian." That is [merely] their wishful thinking, Say, "Produce your proof, if you should be truthful."

آپ (غمگین نہ ہوں) انہیں چھوڑ دیجئے وہ کھاتے (پیتے) رہیں اور عیش کرتے رہیں اور (ان کی) جھوٹی امیدیں انہیں (آخرت سے) غافل رکھیں پھر وہ عنقریب (اپنا انجام) جان لیں گے

Let them eat and enjoy themselves and be diverted by [false] hope, for they are going to know.

— Transliteration
Almalu walbanoona zeenatu alhayatiaddunya walbaqiyatu assalihatukhayrun AAinda rabbika thawaban wakhayrun amala

مال اور اولاد (تو صرف) دنیاوی زندگی کی زینت ہیں اور (حقیقت میں) باقی رہنے والی (تو) نیکیاں (ہیں جو) آپ کے رب کے نزدیک ثواب کے لحاظ سے (بھی) بہتر ہیں اور آرزو کے لحاظ سے (بھی) خوب تر ہیں

Wealth and children are [but] adornment of the worldly life. But the enduring good deeds are better to your Lord for reward and better for [one's] hope.

Inna allatheena irtaddoo AAalaadbarihim min baAAdi ma tabayyana lahumu alhudaashshaytanu sawwala lahum waamla lahum

بیشک جو لوگ پیٹھ پھیر کر پیچھے (کفر کی طرف) لوٹ گئے اس کے بعد کہ ان پر ہدایت واضح ہو چکی تھی شیطان نے انہیں (کفر کی طرف واپس پلٹنا دھوکہ دہی سے) اچھا کر کے دکھایا، اور انہیں (دنیا میں) طویل زندگی کی امید دلائیo

Indeed, those who reverted back [to disbelief] after guidance had become clear to them - Satan enticed them and prolonged hope for them.

يُنَادُوۡنَهُمۡ اَلَمۡ نَكُنۡ مَّعَكُمۡ‌ؕ قَالُوۡا بَلٰى وَلٰـكِنَّكُمۡ فَتَنۡتُمۡ اَنۡفُسَكُمۡ وَتَرَبَّصۡتُمۡ وَارۡتَبۡتُمۡ وَغَرَّتۡكُمُ الۡاَمَانِىُّ حَتّٰى جَآءَ اَمۡرُ اللّٰهِ وَغَرَّكُمۡ بِاللّٰهِ الۡغَرُوۡرُ‏ 
— Transliteration
Yunadoonahum alam nakun maAAakum qaloobala walakinnakum fatantum anfusakum watarabbastumwartabtum wagharratkumu al-amaniyyu hattajaa amru Allahi wagharrakum billahialgharoor

And deceived you
اور دھوکے میں ڈالا تم کو

بڑے دھوکے باز نے
Urdu —
وہ (منافق) اُن (مومنوں) کو پکار کر کہیں گے: کیا ہم (دنیا میں) تمہاری سنگت میں نہ تھے؟ وہ کہیں گے: کیوں نہیں! لیکن تم نے اپنے آپ کو (منافقت کے) فتنہ میں مبتلا کر دیا تھا اور تم (ہمارے لئے برائی اور نقصان کے) منتظر رہتے تھے اور تم (نبوّتِ محمدی صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم اور دینِ اسلام میں) شک کرتے تھے اور باطل امیدوں نے تمہیں دھوکے میں ڈال دیا، یہاں تک کہ اللہ کا اَمرِ (موت) آپہنچا اور تمہیں اللہ کے بارے میں دغا باز (شیطان) دھوکہ دیتا رہاo

The hypocrites will call to the believers, "Were we not with you?" They will say, "Yes, but you afflicted yourselves and awaited [misfortune for us] and doubted, and wishful thinking deluded you until there came the command of Allah. And the Deceiver deceived you concerning Allah.
