اور بیشک کچھ اہلِ کتاب ایسے بھی ہیں جو اللہ پر ایمان رکھتے ہیں اور اس کتاب پر بھی (ایمان لاتے ہیں) جو تمہاری طرف نازل کی گئی ہے اور جو ان کی طرف نازل کی گئی اور ان کے دل اللہ کے حضور جھکے رہتے ہیں اور اللہ کی آیتوں کے عوض قلیل دام وصول نہیں کرتے، یہ وہ لوگ ہیں جن کا اجر ان کے رب کے پاس ہے، بیشک اللہ حساب میں جلدی فرمانے والا ہے

And indeed, among the People of the Scripture are those who believe in Allah and what was revealed to you and what was revealed to them, [being] humbly submissive to Allah. They do not exchange the verses of Allah for a small price. Those will have their reward with their Lord. Indeed, Allah is swift in account.

Ya ayyuha allatheena amanooman yartadda minkum AAan deenihi fasawfa ya/tee Allahubiqawmin yuhibbuhum wayuhibboonahu athillatinAAala almu/mineena aAAizzatin AAala alkafireenayujahidoona fee sabeeli Allahi wala yakhafoonalawmata la-imin thalika fadlu Allahiyu/teehi man yashao wallahu wasiAAunAAaleem

اے ایمان والو! تم میں سے جو شخص اپنے دین سے پھر جائے گا تو عنقریب اﷲ (ان کی جگہ) ایسی قوم کو لائے گا جن سے وہ (خود) محبت فرماتا ہوگا اور وہ اس سے محبت کرتے ہوں گے وہ مومنوں پر نرم (اور) کافروں پر سخت ہوں گے اﷲ کی راہ میں (خوب) جہاد کریں گے اور کسی ملامت کرنے والے کی ملامت سے خوفزدہ نہیں ہوں گے۔ یہ (انقلابی کردار) اللہ کافضل ہے وہ جسے چاہتا ہے عطا فرماتا ہے اور اﷲ وسعت والا (ہے) خوب جاننے والا ہے

O you who have believed, whoever of you should revert from his religion - Allah will bring forth [in place of them] a people He will love and who will love Him [who are] humble toward the believers, powerful against the disbelievers; they strive in the cause of Allah and do not fear the blame of a critic. That is the favor of Allah; He bestows it upon whom He wills. And Allah is all-Encompassing and Knowing.

And that was Our [conclusive] argument which We gave Abraham against his people. We raise by degrees whom We will. Indeed, your Lord is Wise and Knowing.
وَوَهَبۡنَا لَهٗۤ اِسۡحٰقَ وَيَعۡقُوۡبَؕ كُلاًّ هَدَيۡنَاۚ وَنُوۡحًا هَدَيۡنَا مِنۡ قَبۡلُ وَمِنۡ ذُرِّيَّتِهٖ دَاوٗدَ وَسُلَيۡمٰنَ وَاَيُّوۡبَ وَيُوۡسُفَ وَمُوۡسٰى وَهٰرُوۡنَؕ وَكَذٰلِكَ نَجۡزِىۡ الۡمُحۡسِنِيۡنَۙ

Wawahabna lahu ishaqawayaAAqooba kullan hadayna wanoohan hadaynamin qablu wamin thurriyyatihi dawooda wasulaymanawaayyooba wayoosufa wamoosa waharoona wakathalikanajzee almuhsineen

Say, "Who rescues you from the darknesses of the land and sea [when] you call upon Him imploring [aloud] and privately, 'If He should save us from this [crisis], we will surely be among the thankful.' "

And We sent to no city a prophet [who was denied] except that We seized its people with poverty and hardship that they might humble themselves [to Allah].

That Day, everyone will follow [the call of] the Caller [with] no deviation therefrom, and [all] voices will be stilled before the Most Merciful, so you will not hear except a whisper [of footsteps].

And [all] faces will be humbled before the Ever-Living, the Sustainer of existence. And he will have failed who carries injustice.

Walaw anna ahlaknahum biAAathabinmin qablihi laqaloo rabbana lawla arsaltailayna rasoolan fanattabiAAa ayatika minqabli an nathilla wanakhza

اور اگر ہم ان لوگوں کو اس سے پہلے (ہی) کسی عذاب کے ذریعہ ہلاک کرڈالتے تو یہ کہتے: اے ہمارے رب! تو نے ہمارے پاس کسی رسول کو کیوں نہ بھیجا کہ ہم تیری آیتوں کی پیروی کرلیتے اس سے قبل کہ ہم ذلیل اور رسوا ہوتے

And if We had destroyed them with a punishment before him, they would have said, "Our Lord, why did You not send to us a messenger so we could have followed Your verses before we were humiliated and disgraced?"

تو ہم نے ان کی دعا قبول فرما لی اور ہم نے انہیں یحیٰی (علیہ السلام) عطا فرمایا اور ان کی خاطر ان کی زوجہ کو (بھی) درست (قابلِ اولاد) بنا دیا۔ بیشک یہ (سب) نیکی کے کاموں (کی انجام دہی) میں جلدی کرتے تھے اور ہمیں شوق و رغبت اور خوف و خشیّت (کی کیفیتوں) کے ساتھ پکارا کرتے تھے، اور ہمارے حضور بڑے عجز و نیاز کے ساتھ گڑگڑاتے تھے

So We responded to him, and We gave to him John, and amended for him his wife. Indeed, they used to hasten to good deeds and supplicate Us in hope and fear, and they were to Us humbly submissive.

ہم نے ہر ایک امت کے لئے (احکامِ شریعت یا عبادت و قربانی کی) ایک راہ مقرر کر دی ہے، انہیں اسی پر چلنا ہے، سو یہ لوگ آپ سے ہرگز (اﷲ کے) حکم میں جھگڑا نہ کریں، اور آپ اپنے رب کی طرف بلاتے رہیں۔ بیشک آپ ہی سیدھی (راہِ) ہدایت پر ہیں

For every religion We have appointed rites which they perform. So, [O Muhammad], let the disbelievers not contend with you over the matter but invite them to your Lord. Indeed, you are upon straight guidance.
وَاِنۡ جٰدَلُوۡكَ فَقُلِ اللّٰهُ اَعۡلَمُ بِمَا تَعۡمَلُوۡنَ

Wa-in jadalooka faquli AllahuaAAlamu bima taAAmaloon

اگر وہ آپ سے جھگڑا کریں تو آپ فرما دیجئے: اﷲ بہتر جانتا ہے جو کچھ تم کر رہے ہو

And if they dispute with you, then say, "Allah is most knowing of what you do.

وَلِيَـعۡلَمَ الَّذِيۡنَ اُوۡتُوۡا الۡعِلۡمَ اَنَّهُ الۡحَـقُّ مِنۡ رَّبِّكَ فَيُؤۡمِنُوۡا بِهٖ فَـتُخۡبِتَ لَهٗ قُلُوۡبُهُمۡؕ وَاِنَّ اللّٰهَ لَهَادِ الَّذِيۡنَ اٰمَنُوۡۤا اِلٰى صِرَاطٍ مُّسۡتَقِيۡمٍ
— Transliteration
WaliyaAAlama allatheena ootooalAAilma annahu alhaqqu min rabbika fayu/minoo bihifatukhbita lahu quloobuhum wa-inna Allaha lahadiallatheena amanoo ila siratinmustaqeem

Urdu —
اور تاکہ وہ لوگ جنہیں علم (صحیح) عطا کیا گیا ہے جان لیں کہ وہی (وحی جس کی پیغمبر نے تلاوت کی ہے) آپ کے رب کی طرف سے (مَبنی) برحق ہے سو وہ اسی پر ایمان لائیں (اور شیطانی وسوسوں کو ردّ کردیں) اور ان کے دل اس (رب) کے لئے عاجزی کریں، اور بیشک اﷲ مومنوں کو ضرور سیدھی راہ کی طرف ہدایت فرمانے والا ہے
— English
And so those who were given knowledge may know that it is the truth from your Lord and [therefore] believe in it, and their hearts humbly submit to it. And indeed is Allah the Guide of those who have believed to a straight path.

الَّذِيۡنَ هُمۡ فِىۡ صَلَاتِهِمۡ خٰشِعُوۡنَۙ

WaAAibadu arrahmaniallatheena yamshoona AAala al-ardi hawnanwa-itha khatabahumu aljahiloona qaloosalama

اور (خدائے) رحمان کے (مقبول) بندے وہ ہیں جو زمین پر آہستگی سے چلتے ہیں اور جب ان سے جاہل (اکھڑ) لوگ (ناپسندیدہ) بات کرتے ہیں تو وہ سلام کہتے (ہوئے الگ ہو جاتے) ہیںo

And the servants of the Most Merciful are those who walk upon the earth easily, and when the ignorant address them [harshly], they say [words of] peace,

اِنَّ الۡمُسۡلِمِيۡنَ وَالۡمُسۡلِمٰتِ وَالۡمُؤۡمِنِيۡنَ وَالۡمُؤۡمِنٰتِ وَالۡقٰنِتِيۡنَ وَالۡقٰنِتٰتِ وَالصّٰدِقِيۡنَ وَالصّٰدِقٰتِ وَالصّٰبِرِيۡنَ وَالصّٰبِرٰتِ وَالۡخٰشِعِيۡنَ وَالۡخٰشِعٰتِ وَالۡمُتَصَدِّقِيۡنَ وَالۡمُتَصَدِّقٰتِ وَالصّآٮِٕمِيۡنَ وَالصّٰٓٮِٕمٰتِ وَالۡحٰفِظِيۡنَ فُرُوۡجَهُمۡ وَالۡحٰـفِظٰتِ وَالذّٰكِرِيۡنَ اللّٰهَ كَثِيۡرًا وَّالذّٰكِرٰتِۙ اَعَدَّ اللّٰهُ لَهُمۡ مَّغۡفِرَةً وَّاَجۡرًا عَظِيۡمًا
— Transliteration
Inna almuslimeena walmuslimatiwalmu/mineena walmu/minati walqaniteenawalqanitati wassadiqeena wassadiqatiwassabireena wassabiratiwalkhashiAAeena walkhashiAAatiwalmutasaddiqeena walmutasaddiqatiwassa-imeena wassa-imatiwalhafitheena furoojahum walhafithatiwaththakireena Allaha katheeran waththakiratiaAAadda Allahu lahum maghfiratan waajran AAatheema

بیشک مسلمان مرد اور مسلمان عورتیں، اور مومن مَرد اور مومن عورتیں، اور فرمانبردار مرد اور فرمانبردار عورتیں، اور صدق والے مرد اور صدق والی عورتیں، اور صبر والے مرد اور صبر والی عورتیں، اور عاجزی والے مرد اور عاجزی والی عورتیں، اور صدقہ و خیرات کرنے والے مرد اور صدقہ و خیرات کرنے والی عورتیں اور روزہ دار مرد اور روزہ دار عورتیں، اور اپنی شرم گاہوں کی حفاظت کرنے والے مرد اور حفاظت کرنے والی عورتیں، اور کثرت سے اللہ کا ذکر کرنے والے مرد اور ذکر کرنے والی عورتیں، اللہ نے اِن سب کے لئے بخشِش اور عظیم اجر تیار فرما رکھا ہے

Indeed, the Muslim men and Muslim women, the believing men and believing women, the obedient men and obedient women, the truthful men and truthful women, the patient men and patient women, the humble men and humble women, the charitable men and charitable women, the fasting men and fasting women, the men who guard their private parts and the women who do so, and the men who remember Allah often and the women who do so - for them Allah has prepared forgiveness and a great reward.

لَوۡ اَنۡزَلۡنَا هٰذَا الۡقُرۡاٰنَ عَلٰى جَبَلٍ لَّرَاَيۡتَهٗ خَاشِعًا مُّتَصَدِّعًا مِّنۡ خَشۡيَةِ اللّٰهِؕ وَتِلۡكَ الۡاَمۡثَالُ نَضۡرِبُهَا لِلنَّاسِ لَعَلَّهُمۡ يَتَفَكَّرُوۡنَ
— Transliteration
Law anzalna hatha alqur-anaAAala jabalin laraaytahu khashiAAan mutasaddiAAanmin khashyati Allahi watilka al-amthalu nadribuhalinnasi laAAallahum yatafakkaroon

اگر ہم یہ قرآن کسی پہاڑ پر نازل فرماتے تو (اے مخاطب!) تو اسے دیکھتا کہ وہ اﷲ کے خوف سے جھک جاتا، پھٹ کر پاش پاش ہوجاتا، اور یہ مثالیں ہم لوگوں کے لئے بیان کر رہے ہیں تاکہ وہ غور و فکر کریںo
— English
If We had sent down this Qur'an upon a mountain, you would have seen it humbled and coming apart from fear of Allah. And these examples We present to the people that perhaps they will give thought.
