كُلُّ الطَّعَامِ كَانَ حِلًّا لِّبَنِىۡۤ اِسۡرآءِيۡلَ اِلَّا مَا حَرَّمَ اِسۡرَآءِيۡلُ عَلٰى نَفۡسِهٖ مِنۡ قَبۡلِ اَنۡ تُنَزَّلَ التَّوۡرٰٮةُ ‌ؕ قُلۡ فَاۡتُوۡا بِالتَّوۡرٰٮةِ فَاتۡلُوۡهَاۤ اِنۡ كُنۡتُمۡ صٰدِقِيۡنَ‏ 
— Transliteration
Kullu attaAAami kanahillan libanee isra-eela illa ma harramaisra-eelu AAala nafsihi min qabli an tunazzala attawratuqul fa/too bittawrati fatlooha inkuntum sadiqeen

— English
All food was lawful to the Children of Israel except what Israel had made unlawful to himself before the Torah was revealed. Say, [O Muhammad], "So bring the Torah and recite it, if you should be truthful."

اُولٰٓٮِٕكَ الَّذِيۡنَ اَنۡعَمَ اللّٰهُ عَلَيۡهِمۡ مِّنَ النَّبِيّٖنَ مِنۡ ذُرِّيَّةِ اٰدَمَ وَمِمَّنۡ حَمَلۡنَا مَعَ نُوۡحٍ وَّمِنۡ ذُرِّيَّةِ اِبۡرٰهِيۡمَ وَاِسۡرآءِيۡلَ وَمِمَّنۡ هَدَيۡنَا وَاجۡتَبَيۡنَا‌ؕ اِذَا تُتۡلٰى عَلَيۡهِمۡ اٰيٰتُ الرَّحۡمٰنِ خَرُّوۡا سُجَّدًا وَّبُكِيًّا ۩‏ 
— Transliteration
Ola-ika allatheena anAAama AllahuAAalayhim mina annabiyyeena min thurriyyati adamawamimman hamalna maAAa noohin wamin thurriyyatiibraheema wa-isra-eela wamimman hadayna wajtabaynaitha tutla AAalayhim ayatu arrahmanikharroo sujjadan wabukiyya

یہ وہ لوگ ہیں جن پر اللہ نے انعام فرمایا ہے زمرۂ انبیاء میں سے آدم (علیہ السلام) کی اولاد سے ہیں اور ان (مومنوں) میں سے ہیں جنہیں ہم نے نوح (علیہ السلام) کے ساتھ کشتی میں (طوفان سے بچا کر) اٹھا لیا تھا، اور ابراہیم (علیہ السلام) کی اور اسرائیل (یعنی یعقوب علیہ السلام) کی اولاد سے ہیں اور ان (منتخب) لوگوں میں سے ہیں جنہیں ہم نے ہدایت بخشی اور برگزیدہ بنایا، جب ان پر (خدائے) رحمان کی آیتوں کی تلاوت کی جاتی ہے وہ سجدہ کرتے ہوئے اور (زار و قطار) روتے ہوئے گر پڑتے ہیں

Those were the ones upon whom Allah bestowed favor from among the prophets of the descendants of Adam and of those We carried [in the ship] with Noah, and of the descendants of Abraham and Israel, and of those whom We guided and chose. When the verses of the Most Merciful were recited to them, they fell in prostration and weeping.
