وَكَذٰلِكَ جَعَلۡنٰكُمۡ اُمَّةً وَّسَطًا لِّتَکُوۡنُوۡا شُهَدَآءَ عَلَى النَّاسِ وَيَكُوۡنَ الرَّسُوۡلُ عَلَيۡكُمۡ شَهِيۡدًاؕ وَمَا جَعَلۡنَا الۡقِبۡلَةَ الَّتِىۡ كُنۡتَ عَلَيۡهَآ اِلَّا لِنَعۡلَمَ مَنۡ يَّتَّبِعُ الرَّسُوۡلَ مِمَّنۡ يَّنۡقَلِبُ عَلٰى عَقِبَيۡهِؕ وَاِنۡ كَانَتۡ لَكَبِيۡرَةً اِلَّا عَلَى الَّذِيۡنَ هَدَى اللّٰهُؕ وَمَا كَانَ اللّٰهُ لِيُضِيْعَ اِيۡمَانَكُمۡؕ اِنَّ اللّٰهَ بِالنَّاسِ لَرَءُوۡفٌ رَّحِيۡمٌ
— Transliteration
Wakathalika jaAAalnakumommatan wasatan litakoonoo shuhadaa AAala annasiwayakoona arrasoolu AAalaykum shaheedan wamajaAAalna alqiblata allatee kunta AAalayha illalinaAAlama man yattabiAAu arrasoola mimman yanqalibu AAalaAAaqibayhi wa-in kanat lakabeeratan illa AAalaallatheena hada Allahu wama kanaAllahu liyudeeAAa eemanakum inna Allahabinnasi laraoofun raheem

اور (اے مسلمانو!) اسی طرح ہم نے تمہیں (اعتدال والی) بہتر امت بنایا تاکہ تم لوگوں پر گواہ بنو اور (ہمارا یہ برگزیدہ) رسول (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) تم پر گواہ ہو، اور آپ پہلے جس قبلہ پر تھے ہم نے صرف اس لئے مقرر کیا تھا کہ ہم (پرکھ کر) ظاہر کر دیں کہ کون (ہمارے) رسول (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کی پیروی کرتا ہے (اور) کون اپنے الٹے پاؤں پھر جاتا ہے، اور بیشک یہ (قبلہ کا بدلنا) بڑی بھاری بات تھی مگر ان پر نہیں جنہیں اﷲ نے ہدایت (و معرفت) سے نوازا، اور اﷲ کی یہ شان نہیں کہ تمہارا ایمان (یونہی) ضائع کردے، بیشک اﷲ لوگوں پر بڑی شفقت فرمانے والا مہربان ہے

And thus we have made you a just community that you will be witnesses over the people and the Messenger will be a witness over you. And We did not make the qiblah which you used to face except that We might make evident who would follow the Messenger from who would turn back on his heels. And indeed, it is difficult except for those whom Allah has guided. And never would Allah have caused you to lose your faith. Indeed Allah is, to the people, Kind and Merciful.

Yawma tajidu kullu nafsin ma AAamilatmin khayrin muhdaran wama AAamilat min soo-intawaddu law anna baynaha wabaynahu amadan baAAeedan wayuhaththirukumuAllahu nafsahu wallahu raoofun bilAAibad

جس دن ہر جان ہر اس نیکی کو بھی (اپنے سامنے) حاضر پا لے گی جو اس نے کی تھی اور ہر برائی کو بھی جو اس نے کی تھی، تو وہ آرزو کرے گی: کاش! میرے اور اس برائی (یا اس دن) کے درمیان بہت زیادہ فاصلہ ہوتا، اور اﷲ تمہیں اپنی ذات (کے غضب) سے ڈراتا ہے، اور اﷲ بندوں پر بہت مہربان ہے

The Day every soul will find what it has done of good present [before it] and what it has done of evil, it will wish that between itself and that [evil] was a great distance. And Allah warns you of Himself, and Allah is Kind to [His] servants."

Watahmilu athqalakum ilabaladin lam takoonoo baligheehi illa bishiqqial-anfusi inna rabbakum laraoofun raheem

And they carry your loads to a land you could not have reached except with difficulty to yourselves. Indeed, your Lord is Kind and Merciful.

Wallatheena jaoo minbaAAdihim yaqooloona rabbana ighfir lana wali-ikhwaninaallatheena sabaqoona bil-eemani walatajAAal fee quloobina ghillan lillatheena amanoorabbana innaka raoofun raheem

اور وہ لوگ (بھی) جو اُن (مہاجرین و انصار) کے بعد آئے (اور) عرض کرتے ہیں: اے ہمارے رب! ہمیں بخش دے اور ہمارے ان بھائیوں کو بھی، جو ایمان لانے میں ہم سے آگے بڑھ گئے اور ہمارے دلوں میں ایمان والوں کے لئے کوئی کینہ اور بغض باقی نہ رکھ۔ اے ہمارے رب! بیشک تو بہت شفقت فرمانے والا بہت رحم فرمانے والا ہےo

And [there is a share for] those who came after them, saying, "Our Lord, forgive us and our brothers who preceded us in faith and put not in our hearts [any] resentment toward those who have believed. Our Lord, indeed You are Kind and Merciful."
