وَاِذۡ اَخَذۡنَا مِيۡثَاقَكُمۡ لَا تَسۡفِكُوۡنَ دِمَآءَكُمۡ وَلَا تُخۡرِجُوۡنَ اَنۡفُسَكُمۡ مِّنۡ دِيَارِكُمۡ ثُمَّ اَقۡرَرۡتُمۡ وَاَنۡتُمۡ تَشۡهَدُوۡنَ
— Transliteration
Wa-ith akhathna meethaqakumla tasfikoona dimaakum wala tukhrijoonaanfusakum min diyarikum thumma aqrartum waantum tashhadoon

اور جب ہم نے تم سے (یہ) پختہ عہد (بھی) لیا کہ تم (آپس میں) ایک دوسرے کا خون نہیں بہاؤ گے اور نہ اپنے لوگوں کو (اپنے گھروں اور بستیوں سے نکال کر) جلاوطن کرو گے پھر تم نے (اس امر کا) اقرار کر لیا اور تم (اس کی) گواہی (بھی) دیتے ہو

And [recall] when We took your covenant, [saying], "Do not shed each other's blood or evict one another from your homes." Then you acknowledged [this] while you were witnessing.

ثُمَّ اَنۡتُمۡ هٰٓؤُلَاۤءِ تَقۡتُلُوۡنَ اَنۡفُسَكُمۡ وَتُخۡرِجُوۡنَ فَرِيۡقًا مِّنۡكُمۡ مِّنۡ دِيَارِهِمۡ تَظٰهَرُوۡنَ عَلَيۡهِمۡ بِالۡاِثۡمِ وَالۡعُدۡوَانِؕ وَاِنۡ يَّاۡتُوۡكُمۡ اُسٰرٰى تُفٰدُوۡهُمۡ وَهُوَ مُحَرَّمٌۡ عَلَيۡڪُمۡ اِخۡرَاجُهُمۡؕ اَفَتُؤۡمِنُوۡنَ بِبَعۡضِ الۡكِتٰبِ وَتَكۡفُرُوۡنَ بِبَعۡضٍۚ فَمَا جَزَآءُ مَنۡ يَّفۡعَلُ ذٰلِكَ مِنۡکُمۡ اِلَّا خِزۡىٌ فِىۡ الۡحَيٰوةِ الدُّنۡيَاۚ وَيَوۡمَ الۡقِيٰمَةِ يُرَدُّوۡنَ اِلٰٓى اَشَدِّ الۡعَذَابِؕ وَمَا اللّٰهُ بِغَافِلٍ عَمَّا تَعۡمَلُوۡنَ

Thumma antum haola-itaqtuloona anfusakum watukhrijoona fareeqan minkum min diyarihimtathaharoona AAalayhim bil-ithmi walAAudwaniwa-in ya/tookum osara tufadoohum wahuwa muharramunAAalaykum ikhrajuhum afatu/minoona bibaAAdi alkitabiwatakfuroona bibaAAdin fama jazao manyafAAalu thalika minkum illa khizyun fee alhayatiaddunya wayawma alqiyamati yuraddoona ilaashaddi alAAathabi wama Allahu bighafilinAAamma taAAmaloon

پھر تم ہی وہ لوگ ہو کہ اپنوں کو قتل کر رہے ہو اور اپنے ہی ایک گروہ کو ان کے وطن سے باہر نکال رہے ہو اور (مستزاد یہ کہ) ان کے خلاف گناہ اور زیادتی کے ساتھ (ان کے دشمنوں کی) مدد بھی کرتے ہو، اور اگر وہ قیدی ہو کر تمہارے پا س آجائیں تو ان کا فدیہ دے کر چھڑا لیتے ہو (تاکہ وہ تمہارے احسان مند رہیں) حالانکہ ان کا وطن سے نکالا جانا بھی تم پر حرام کر دیا گیا تھا، کیا تم کتاب کے بعض حصوں پر ایمان رکھتے ہو اور بعض کا انکار کرتے ہو؟ پس تم میں سے جو شخص ایسا کرے اس کی کیا سزا ہو سکتی ہے سوائے اس کے کہ دنیا کی زندگی میں ذلّت (اور رُسوائی) ہو، اور قیامت کے دن (بھی ایسے لوگ) سخت ترین عذاب کی طرف لوٹائے جائیں گے، اور اللہ تمہارے کاموں سے بے خبر نہیں
— English
Then, you are those [same ones who are] killing one another and evicting a party of your people from their homes, cooperating against them in sin and aggression. And if they come to you as captives, you ransom them, although their eviction was forbidden to you. So do you believe in part of the Scripture and disbelieve in part? Then what is the recompense for those who do that among you except disgrace in worldly life; and on the Day of Resurrection they will be sent back to the severest of punishment. And Allah is not unaware of what you do.

فَاسۡتَجَابَ لَهُمۡ رَبُّهُمۡ اَنِّىۡ لَاۤ اُضِيۡعُ عَمَلَ عَامِلٍ مِّنۡكُمۡ مِّنۡ ذَكَرٍ اَوۡ اُنۡثٰىۚ بَعۡضُكُمۡ مِّنۡۢ بَعۡضٍۚ فَالَّذِيۡنَ هَاجَرُوۡا وَاُخۡرِجُوۡا مِنۡ دِيَارِهِمۡ وَاُوۡذُوۡا فِىۡ سَبِيۡلِىۡ وَقٰتَلُوۡا وَقُتِلُوۡا لَاُكَفِّرَنَّ عَنۡهُمۡ سَيِّاٰتِهِمۡ وَلَاُدۡخِلَنَّهُمۡ جَنّٰتٍ تَجۡرِىۡ مِنۡ تَحۡتِهَا الۡاَنۡهٰرُۚ ثَوَابًا مِّنۡ عِنۡدِ اللّٰهِؕ وَاللّٰهُ عِنۡدَهٗ حُسۡنُ الثَّوَابِ
— Transliteration
Fastajaba lahum rabbuhumannee la odeeAAu AAamala AAamilin minkum minthakarin aw ontha baAAdukum min baAAdinfallatheena hajaroo waokhrijoo min diyarihimwaoothoo fee sabeelee waqataloo waqutiloolaokaffiranna AAanhum sayyi-atihim walaodkhilannahum jannatintajree min tahtiha al-anharu thawabanmin AAindi Allahi wallahu AAindahu husnuaththawab

پھر ان کے رب نے ان کی دعا قبول فرما لی (اور فرمایا:) یقیناً میں تم میں سے کسی محنت والے کی مزدوری ضائع نہیں کرتا خواہ مرد ہو یا عورت، تم سب ایک دوسرے میں سے (ہی) ہو، پس جن لوگوں نے (اللہ کے لئے) وطن چھوڑ دیئے اور (اسی کے باعث) اپنے گھروں سے نکال دیئے گئے اور میری راہ میں ستائے گئے اور (میری خاطر) لڑے اور مارے گئے تو میں ضرور ان کے گناہ ان (کے نامۂ اعمال) سے مٹا دوں گا اور انہیں یقیناً ان جنتوں میں داخل کروں گا جن کے نیچے نہریں بہتی ہوں گی، یہ اللہ کے حضور سے اجر ہے، اور اللہ ہی کے پاس (اس سے بھی) بہتر اجر ہے

And their Lord responded to them, "Never will I allow to be lost the work of [any] worker among you, whether male or female; you are of one another. So those who emigrated or were evicted from their homes or were harmed in My cause or fought or were killed - I will surely remove from them their misdeeds, and I will surely admit them to gardens beneath which rivers flow as reward from Allah, and Allah has with Him the best reward."
