— Transliteration

Wabashshiri allatheena amanoowaAAamiloo assalihati anna lahum jannatintajree min tahtiha al-anharu kullamaruziqoo minha min thamaratin rizqan qaloo hathaallathee ruziqna min qablu waotoo bihi mutashabihanwalahum feeha azwajun mutahharatun wahumfeeha khalidoon

اور (اے حبیب!) آپ ان لوگوں کو خوشخبری سنا دیں جو ایمان لائے اور نیک عمل کرتے رہے کہ ان کے لئے (بہشت کے) باغات ہیں جن کے نیچے نہریں بہتی ہیں، جب انہیں ان باغات میں سے کوئی پھل کھانے کو دیا جائے گا تو (اس کی ظاہری صورت دیکھ کر) کہیں گے: یہ تو وہی پھل ہے جو ہمیں (دنیا میں) پہلے دیا گیا تھا، حالانکہ انہیں (صورت میں) ملتے جلتے پھل دیئے گئے ہوں گے، ان کے لئے جنت میں پاکیزہ بیویاں (بھی) ہوں گی اور وہ ان میں ہمیشہ رہیں گے

And give good tidings to those who believe and do righteous deeds that they will have gardens [in Paradise] beneath which rivers flow. Whenever they are provided with a provision of fruit therefrom, they will say, "This is what we were provided with before." And it is given to them in likeness. And they will have therein purified spouses, and they will abide therein eternally.

— Transliteration

Qul man kana AAaduwwan lijibreelafa-innahu nazzalahu AAala qalbika bi-ithni Allahimusaddiqan lima bayna yadayhi wahudan wabushralilmu/mineen

آپ فرما دیں: جو شخص جبریل کا دشمن ہے (وہ ظلم کر رہا ہے) کیونکہ اس نے (تو) اس (قرآن) کو آپ کے دل پر اللہ کے حکم سے اتارا ہے (جو) اپنے سے پہلے (کی کتابوں) کی تصدیق کرنے والا ہے اور مؤمنوں کے لئے (سراسر) ہدایت اور خوشخبری ہے

Say, "Whoever is an enemy to Gabriel - it is [none but] he who has brought the Qur'an down upon your heart, [O Muhammad], by permission of Allah, confirming that which was before it and as guidance and good tidings for the believers."

(اے محبوبِ مکرّم!) بیشک ہم نے آپ کو حق کے ساتھ خوشخبری سنانے والا اور ڈر سنانے والا بنا کر بھیجا ہے اور اہلِ دوزخ کے بارے میں آپ سے پرسش نہیں کی جائے گی

Indeed, We have sent you, [O Muhammad], with the truth as a bringer of good tidings and a warner, and you will not be asked about the companions of Hellfire.

— Transliteration

Walanabluwannakum bishay-in mina alkhawfiwaljooAAi wanaqsin mina al-amwali wal-anfusiwaththamarati wabashshiri assabireen

And surely We will test you

اور البتہ ہم ضرور آزمائیں گے تم کو

اور ہم ضرور بالضرور تمہیں آزمائیں گے کچھ خوف اور بھوک سے اور کچھ مالوں اور جانوں اور پھلوں کے نقصان سے، اور (اے حبیب!) آپ (ان) صبر کرنے والوں کو خوشخبری سنا دیں

And We will surely test you with something of fear and hunger and a loss of wealth and lives and fruits, but give good tidings to the patient,

كَانَ النَّاسُ اُمَّةً وَّاحِدَةً فَبَعَثَ اللّٰهُ النَّبِيّٖنَ مُبَشِّرِيۡنَ وَمُنۡذِرِيۡنَ وَاَنۡزَلَ مَعَهُمُ الۡكِتٰبَ بِالۡحَـقِّ لِيَحۡكُمَ بَيۡنَ النَّاسِ فِيۡمَا اخۡتَلَفُوۡا فِيۡهِ‌ؕ وَمَا اخۡتَلَفَ فِيۡهِ اِلَّا الَّذِيۡنَ اُوۡتُوۡهُ مِنۡۢ بَعۡدِ مَا جَآءَتۡهُمُ الۡبَيِّنٰتُ بَغۡيًا ۢ بَيۡنَهُمۡ‌ۚ فَهَدَى اللّٰهُ الَّذِيۡنَ اٰمَنُوۡا لِمَا اخۡتَلَفُوۡا فِيۡهِ مِنَ الۡحَـقِّ بِاِذۡنِهٖ‌ؕ وَاللّٰهُ يَهۡدِىۡ مَنۡ يَّشَآءُ اِلٰى صِرَاطٍ مُّسۡتَقِيۡمٍ‏ 

Kana annasu ommatan wahidatanfabaAAatha Allahu annabiyyeena mubashshireenawamunthireena waanzala maAAahumu alkitaba bilhaqqiliyahkuma bayna annasi feemaikhtalafoo feehi wama ikhtalafa feehi illa allatheenaootoohu min baAAdi ma jaat-humu albayyinatubaghyan baynahum fahada Allahu allatheena amanoolima ikhtalafoo feehi mina alhaqqi bi-ithnihiwallahu yahdee man yashao ila siratinmustaqeem

(ابتداء میں) سب لوگ ایک ہی دین پر جمع تھے، (پھر جب ان میں اختلافات رونما ہو گئے) تو اﷲ نے بشارت دینے والے اور ڈر سنانے والے پیغمبروں کو بھیجا، اور ان کے ساتھ حق پر مبنی کتاب اتاری تاکہ وہ لوگوں میں ان امور کا فیصلہ کر دے جن میں وہ اختلاف کرنے لگے تھے اور اس میں اختلاف بھی فقط انہی لوگوں نے کیا جنہیں وہ کتاب دی گئی تھی، باوجود اس کے کہ ان کے پاس واضح نشانیاں آچکی تھیں، (اور انہوں نے یہ اختلاف بھی) محض باہمی بغض و حسد کے باعث (کیا) پھر اﷲ نے ایمان والوں کو اپنے حکم سے وہ حق کی بات سمجھا دی جس میں وہ اختلاف کرتے تھے، اور اﷲ جسے چاہتا ہے سیدھے راستے کی طرف ہدایت فرما دیتا ہے

— English

Mankind was [of] one religion [before their deviation]; then Allah sent the prophets as bringers of good tidings and warners and sent down with them the Scripture in truth to judge between the people concerning that in which they differed. And none differed over the Scripture except those who were given it - after the clear proofs came to them - out of jealous animosity among themselves. And Allah guided those who believed to the truth concerning that over which they had differed, by His permission. And Allah guides whom He wills to a straight path.

— Transliteration

Nisaokum harthun lakum fa/tooharthakum anna shi/tum waqaddimoo li-anfusikum wattaqooAllaha waAAlamoo annakum mulaqoohuwabashshiri almu/mineen

And give glad tidings

اور خوشخبری دے دو

(to) the believers

ایمان لانے والوں کو

Urdu —

تمہاری عورتیں تمہاری کھیتیاں ہیں پس تم اپنی کھیتیوں میں جیسے چاہو آؤ، اور اپنے لئے آئندہ کا کچھ سامان کرلو، اور اﷲ کا تقوٰی اختیار کرو اور جان لو کہ تم اس کے حضور پیش ہونے والے ہو، اور (اے حبیب!) آپ اہلِ ایمان کو خوشخبری سنادیں (کہ اﷲ کے حضور ان کی پیشی بہتر رہے گی)

Your wives are a place of sowing of seed for you, so come to your place of cultivation however you wish and put forth [righteousness] for yourselves. And fear Allah and know that you will meet Him. And give good tidings to the believers.

اِنَّ الَّذِيۡنَ يَكۡفُرُوۡنَ بِاٰيٰتِ اللّٰهِ وَيَقۡتُلُوۡنَ النَّبِيّٖنَ بِغَيۡرِ حَقٍّۙ وَّيَقۡتُلُوۡنَ الَّذِيۡنَ يَاۡمُرُوۡنَ بِالۡقِسۡطِ مِنَ النَّاسِۙ فَبَشِّرۡهُمۡ بِعَذَابٍ اَلِيۡمٍ‏ 

— Transliteration

Inna allatheena yakfuroona bi-ayatiAllahi wayaqtuloona annabiyyeena bighayri haqqinwayaqtuloona allatheena ya/muroona bilqistimina annasi fabashshirhum biAAathabin aleem

یقینا جو لوگ اﷲ کی آیتوں کا انکار کرتے ہیں اور انبیاءکو ناحق قتل کرتے ہیں اور لوگوں میں سے بھی انہیں قتل کرتے ہیں جو عدل و انصاف کا حکم دیتے ہیں سو آپ انہیں دردناک عذاب کی خبر سنا دیں

Those who disbelieve in the signs of Allah and kill the prophets without right and kill those who order justice from among the people - give them tidings of a painful punishment.

فَنَادَتۡهُ الۡمَلٰٓٮِٕكَةُ وَهُوَ قَآٮِٕمٌ يُّصَلِّىۡ فِىۡ الۡمِحۡرَابِۙ اَنَّ اللّٰهَ يُبَشِّرُكَ بِيَحۡيٰى مُصَدِّقًۢا بِكَلِمَةٍ مِّنَ اللّٰهِ وَسَيِّدًا وَّحَصُوۡرًا وَّنَبِيًّا مِّنَ الصّٰلِحِيۡنَ‏ 

— Transliteration

Fanadat-hu almala-ikatu wahuwaqa-imun yusallee fee almihrabi annaAllaha yubashshiruka biyahya musaddiqanbikalimatin mina Allahi wasayyidan wahasooranwanabiyyan mina assaliheen

ابھی وہ حجرے میں کھڑے نماز ہی پڑھ رہے تھے (یا دعا ہی کر رہے تھے) کہ انہیں فرشتوں نے آواز دی: بیشک اﷲ آپ کو (فرزند) یحیٰی (علیہ السلام) کی بشارت دیتا ہے جو کلمۃ اﷲ (یعنی عیسٰی علیہ السلام) کی تصدیق کرنے والا ہو گا اور سردار ہو گا اور عورتوں (کی رغبت) سے بہت محفوظ ہو گا اور (ہمارے) خاص نیکوکار بندوں میں سے نبی ہو گا

So the angels called him while he was standing in prayer in the chamber, "Indeed, Allah gives you good tidings of John, confirming a word from Allah and [who will be] honorable, abstaining [from women], and a prophet from among the righteous."

ایسے لوگوں کی سزا یہ ہے کہ ان پر اﷲ کی اور فرشتوں کی اور تمام انسانوں کی لعنت پڑتی رہے

— English

Those - their recompense will be that upon them is the curse of Allah and the angels and the people, all together,

خٰلِدِيۡنَ فِيۡهَا‌ۚ لَا يُخَفَّفُ عَنۡهُمُ الۡعَذَابُ وَلَا هُمۡ يُنۡظَرُوۡنَۙ‏ 

— Transliteration

Khalideena feeha layukhaffafu AAanhumu alAAathabu wala hum yuntharoon

Abiding eternally therein. The punishment will not be lightened for them, nor will they be reprieved.

Wama jaAAalahu Allahu illabushra lakum walitatma-inna quloobukum bihi wamaannasru illa min AAindi AllahialAAazeezi alhakeem

اور اللہ نے اس (مدد) کو محض تمہارے لئے خوشخبری بنایا اور اس لئے کہ اس سے تمہارے دل مطمئن ہو جائیں، اور مدد تو صرف اللہ ہی کی طرف سے ہوتی ہے جو بڑا غالب حکمت والا ہے

And Allah made it not except as [a sign of] good tidings for you and to reassure your hearts thereby. And victory is not except from Allah, the Exalted in Might, the Wise -

— Transliteration

Wa-itha jaahum amrun minaal-amni awi alkhawfi athaAAoo bihi walaw raddoohu ilaarrasooli wa-ila olee al-amri minhum laAAalimahuallatheena yastanbitoonahu minhum walawla fadluAllahi AAalaykum warahmatuhu lattabaAAtumuashshaytana illa qaleela

surely would have known it

those who

yastanbiṭūnahu

draw correct conclusion (from) it

جو استنباط کرسکتے ہیں اس کا

min'hum

among them.

walawlā

And if not

اور اگر نہ ہوتا

faḍlu

(had been the) bounty

فضل

l-lahi

(of) Allah

اللہ کا

ʿalaykum

on you

تم پر

waraḥmatuhu

and His Mercy

اور اس کی رحمت

la-ittabaʿtumu

surely you (would have) followed

البتہ پیروی کرتے تم

l-shayṭāna

the Shaitaan

شیطان کی

except

مگر

qalīlan

a few

بہت تھڑے

Urdu —

اور جب ان کے پاس کوئی خبر امن یا خوف کی آتی ہے تو وہ اسے پھیلا دیتے ہیں اور اگر وہ (بجائے شہرت دینے کے) اسے رسول (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) اور اپنے میں سے صاحبانِ امر کی طرف لوٹادیتے تو ضرور ان میں سے وہ لوگ جو (کسی) بات کانتیجہ اخذ کرسکتے ہیں اس (خبر کی حقیقت) کو جان لیتے، اگر تم پر اللہ کا فضل اور اس کی رحمت نہ ہوتی تو یقیناً چند ایک کے سوا تم (سب) شیطان کی پیروی کرنے لگتے

— English

And when there comes to them information about [public] security or fear, they spread it around. But if they had referred it back to the Messenger or to those of authority among them, then the ones who [can] draw correct conclusions from it would have known about it. And if not for the favor of Allah upon you and His mercy, you would have followed Satan, except for a few.

[We sent] messengers as bringers of good tidings and warners so that mankind will have no argument against Allah after the messengers. And ever is Allah Exalted in Might and Wise.

— Transliteration

Ya ahla alkitabi qad jaakumrasooluna yubayyinu lakum AAala fatratin mina arrusulian taqooloo ma jaana min basheerin walanatheerin faqad jaakum basheerun wanatheerunwallahu AAala kulli shay-in qadeer

Urdu —

اے اہلِ کتاب! بیشک تمہارے پاس ہمارے (یہ آخر الزمان) رسول (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) پیغمبروں کی آمد (کے سلسلے) کے منقطع ہونے (کے موقع) پر تشریف لائے ہیں، جو تمہارے لئے (ہمارے احکام) خوب واضح کرتے ہیں، (اس لئے) کہ تم (عذر کرتے ہوئے یہ) کہہ دوگے کہ ہمارے پاس نہ (تو) کوئی خوشخبری سنانے والا آیا ہے اور نہ ڈر سنانے والا۔ (اب تمہارا یہ عذر بھی ختم ہو چکا ہے کیونکہ) بلاشبہ تمہارے پاس (آخری) خوشخبری سنانے اور ڈر سنانے والا (بھی) آگیا ہے، اور اﷲ ہر چیز پر بڑا قادر ہے

— English

O People of the Scripture, there has come to you Our Messenger to make clear to you [the religion] after a period [of suspension] of messengers, lest you say, "There came not to us any bringer of good tidings or a warner." But there has come to you a bringer of good tidings and a warner. And Allah is over all things competent.

پھر بیشک انہوں نے (اسی طرح) حق (یعنی قرآن) کو (بھی) جھٹلا دیا جب وہ ان کے پاس (اُلوہی نشانی کے طور پر) آیا، پس عنقریب ان کے پاس اس کی خبریں آیا چاہتی ہیں جس کا وہ مذاق اڑاتے تھے

For they had denied the truth when it came to them, but there is going to reach them the news of what they used to ridicule.

وَلَقَدۡ كُذِّبَتۡ رُسُلٌ مِّنۡ قَبۡلِكَ فَصَبَرُوۡا عَلٰى مَا كُذِّبُوۡا وَاُوۡذُوۡا حَتّٰىۤ اَتٰٮهُمۡ نَصۡرُنَا‌ؕ وَلَا مُبَدِّلَ لِكَلِمٰتِ اللّٰهِ‌ؕ وَلَقَدۡ جَآءَكَ مِنۡ نَّبَاِى الۡمُرۡسَلِيۡنَ‏ 

— Transliteration

Walaqad kuththibat rusulun minqablika fasabaroo AAala ma kuththiboowaoothoo hatta atahum nasrunawala mubaddila likalimati Allahi walaqad jaakamin naba-i almursaleen

اور بیشک آپ سے قبل (بھی بہت سے) رسول جھٹلائے گئے مگر انہوں نے جھٹلائے جانے اور اذیت پہنچائے جانے پر صبر کیا حتٰی کہ انہیں ہماری مدد آپہنچی، اور اﷲ کی باتوں (یعنی وعدوں کو) کوئی بدلنے والا نہیں، اور بیشک آپ کے پاس (تسکینِ قلب کے لیے) رسولوں کی خبریں آچکی ہیں

— English

And certainly were messengers denied before you, but they were patient over [the effects of] denial, and they were harmed until Our victory came to them. And none can alter the words of Allah. And there has certainly come to you some information about the [previous] messengers.

اور ہم پیغمبروں کو نہیں بھیجتے مگر خوشخبری سنانے والے اور ڈر سنانے والے بنا کر، سو جو شخص ایمان لے آیا اور (عملاً) درست ہوگیا تو ان پرنہ کوئی خوف ہوگا اور نہ ہی وہ غمگین ہوں گے

And We send not the messengers except as bringers of good tidings and warners. So whoever believes and reforms - there will be no fear concerning them, nor will they grieve.

Al-A"raafThe Heights007surahاونچی جگہ

MakkiSerial: Revelation: 39Verses: 206Parah: 8,9Rukus: 24Sajda: 206

وَهُوَ الَّذِىۡ يُرۡسِلُ الرِّيٰحَ بُشۡرًۢا بَيۡنَ يَدَىۡ رَحۡمَتِهٖ‌ؕ حَتّٰۤى اِذَاۤ اَقَلَّتۡ سَحَابًا ثِقَالاً سُقۡنٰهُ لِبَلَدٍ مَّيِّتٍ فَاَنۡزَلۡنَا بِهِ الۡمَآءَ فَاَخۡرَجۡنَا بِهٖ مِنۡ كُلِّ الثَّمَرٰتِ‌ؕ كَذٰلِكَ نُخۡرِجُ الۡمَوۡتٰى لَعَلَّكُمۡ تَذَكَّرُوۡنَ‏ 

— Transliteration

Wahuwa allathee yursilu arriyahabushran bayna yaday rahmatihi hatta ithaaqallat sahaban thiqalan suqnahu libaladinmayyitin faanzalna bihi almaa faakhrajnabihi min kulli aththamarati kathalikanukhriju almawta laAAallakum tathakkaroon

زمین کی طرف

مردہ (زمین کی طرف)

fa-anzalnā

then We send down

پس ہم اتارتے ہیں

bihi

from it

ساتھ اس کے

l-māa

the water

پانی کو

fa-akhrajnā

then We bring forth

پس ہم نکالتے ہیں

bihi

from it

ساتھ اس کے

min

**all (kinds) of

کے

kulli

all (kinds)

ہر طرح کے

l-thamarāti

(of) fruits

پھلوں میں سے

kadhālika

Thus

اسی طرح

nukh'riju

We will bring forth

ہم نکالیں گے

l-mawtā

the dead

مردوں کو

laʿallakum

so that you may

تاکہ تم

tadhakkarūna

take heed

تم نصیحت پکڑو

Urdu —

اور وہی ہے جو اپنی رحمت (یعنی بارش) سے پہلے ہواؤں کو خوشخبری بنا کر بھیجتا ہے، یہاں تک کہ جب وہ (ہوائیں) بھاری بھاری بادلوں کو اٹھا لاتی ہیں تو ہم ان (بادلوں) کو کسی مردہ (یعنی بے آب و گیاہ) شہر کی طرف ہانک دیتے ہیں پھر ہم اس (بادل) سے پانی برساتے ہیں پھر ہم اس (پانی) کے ذریعے (زمین سے) ہر قسم کے پھل نکالتے ہیں۔ اسی طرح ہم (روزِ قیامت) مُردوں کو (قبروں سے) نکالیں گے تاکہ تم نصیحت قبول کرو

— English

And it is He who sends the winds as good tidings before His mercy until, when they have carried heavy rainclouds, We drive them to a dead land and We send down rain therein and bring forth thereby [some] of all the fruits. Thus will We bring forth the dead; perhaps you may be reminded.

تِلۡكَ الۡقُرٰى نَقُصُّ عَلَيۡكَ مِنۡ اَنۡۢبَآٮِٕهَا‌ۚ وَلَقَدۡ جَآءَتۡهُمۡ رُسُلُهُمۡ بِالۡبَيِّنٰتِ‌ۚ فَمَا كَانُوۡا لِيُؤۡمِنُوۡا بِمَا كَذَّبُوۡا مِنۡ قَبۡلُ‌ؕ كَذٰلِكَ يَطۡبَعُ اللّٰهُ عَلٰى قُلُوۡبِ الۡكٰفِرِيۡنَ‏ 

— Transliteration

Tilka alqura naqussu AAalaykamin anba-iha walaqad jaat-hum rusuluhum bilbayyinatifama kanoo liyu/minoo bima kaththaboomin qablu kathalika yatbaAAu Allahu AAalaquloobi alkafireen

یہ وہ بستیاں ہیں جن کی خبریں ہم آپ کو سنا رہے ہیں، اور بیشک ان کے پاس ان کے رسول روشن نشانیاں لے کر آئے تو وہ (پھر بھی) اس قابل نہ ہوئے کہ اس پر ایمان لے آتے جسے وہ پہلے جھٹلا چکے تھے، اس طرح اللہ کافروں کے دلوں پر مہر لگا دیتا ہے

— English

Those cities - We relate to you, [O Muhammad], some of their news. And certainly did their messengers come to them with clear proofs, but they were not to believe in that which they had denied before. Thus does Allah seal over the hearts of the disbelievers.

— Transliteration

Qul la amliku linafsee nafAAan waladarran illa ma shaa Allahuwalaw kuntu aAAlamu alghayba lastakthartu mina alkhayriwama massaniya assoo-o in ana illanatheerun wabasheerun liqawmin yu/minoon

and a bearer of od tidings

to a people

اس قوم کے لیے

yu'minūna

who believe

جو ایمان لاتی ہو

Urdu —

آپ (ان سے یہ بھی) فرما دیجئے کہ میں اپنی ذات کے لئے کسی نفع اور نقصان کا خود مالک نہیں ہوں مگر (یہ کہ) جس قدر اللہ نے چاہا، اور (اسی طرح بغیر عطاءِ الٰہی کے) اگر میں خود غیب کا علم رکھتا تو میں اَز خود بہت سی بھلائی (اور فتوحات) حاصل کرلیتا اور مجھے (کسی موقع پر) کوئی سختی (اور تکلیف بھی) نہ پہنچتی، میں تو (اپنے منصبِ رسالت کے باعث) فقط ڈر سنانے والا اور خوشخبری دینے والا ہوں ان لوگوں کو جو ایمان رکھتے ہیں٭

— English

Say, "I hold not for myself [the power of] benefit or harm, except what Allah has willed. And if I knew the unseen, I could have acquired much wealth, and no harm would have touched me. I am not except a warner and a bringer of good tidings to a people who believe."

— Transliteration

Wama jaAAalahu Allahu illabushra walitatma-inna bihi quloobukum wama annasruilla min AAindi Allahi inna Allaha AAazeezunhakeem

اور اس (مدد کی صورت) کو اللہ نے محض بشارت بنایا (تھا) اور (یہ) اس لئے کہ اس سے تمہارے دل مطمئن ہو جائیں اور (حقیقت میں تو) اللہ کی بارگاہ سے مدد کے سوا کوئی (اور) مدد نہیں، بیشک اللہ (ہی) غالب حکمت والا ہے

And Allah made it not but good tidings and so that your hearts would be assured thereby. And victory is not but from Allah. Indeed, Allah is Exalted in Might and Wise.

— Transliteration

Waathanun mina Allahiwarasoolihi ila annasi yawma alhajjial-akbari anna Allaha baree-on mina almushrikeenawarasooluhu fa-in tubtum fahuwa khayrun lakum wa-in tawallaytumfaAAlamoo annakum ghayru muAAjizee Allahiwabashshiri allatheena kafaroo biAAathabin aleem

you repent

تو بہ کرلو تم

then, it is

بہتر ہے

for you.

تمہارے لیے

wa-in

But if

اور اگر

tawallaytum

you turn away

منہ پھیرا تم نے

fa-iʿ'lamū

then know

تو جان لو

annakum

that you

بیشک تم

ghayru

(can) not

نہیں

muʿ'jizī

escape

عاجز کرنے والے

Allah

اللہ کو

wabashiri

And give glad tidings

اور خوش خبری دے دو

alladhīna

(to) those who

ان لوگوں کو

kafarū

disbelieve

جنہوں نے کفر کیا

biʿadhābin

of a punishment

عذاب کی

alīmin

painful

دردناک

Urdu —

(یہ آیات) اللہ اور اس کے رسول (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کی جانب سے تمام لوگوں کی طرف حجِ اکبر کے دن اعلانِ (عام) ہے کہ اللہ مشرکوں سے بے زار ہے اور اس کا رسول (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) بھی (ان سے بری الذمّہ ہے)، پس (اے مشرکو!) اگر تم توبہ کر لو تو وہ تمہارے حق میں بہتر ہے اور اگر تم نے روگردانی کی تو جان لو کہ تم ہرگز اللہ کو عاجز نہ کر سکو گے، اور (اے حبیب!) آپ کافروں کو دردناک عذاب کی خبر سنا دیں

— English

And [it is] an announcement from Allah and His Messenger to the people on the day of the greater pilgrimage that Allah is disassociated from the disbelievers, and [so is] His Messenger. So if you repent, that is best for you; but if you turn away - then know that you will not cause failure to Allah. And give tidings to those who disbelieve of a painful punishment.

ان کا رب انہیں اپنی جانب سے رحمت کی اور (اپنی) رضا کی اور (ان) جنتوں کی خوشخبری دیتا ہے جن میں ان کے لئے دائمی نعمتیں ہیں

Their Lord gives them good tidings of mercy from Him and approval and of gardens for them wherein is enduring pleasure.

— Transliteration

Ya ayyuha allatheena amanooinna katheeran mina al-ahbari warruhbanilaya/kuloona amwala annasi bilbatiliwayasuddoona AAan sabeeli Allahi wallatheenayaknizoona aththahaba walfiddatawala yunfiqoonaha fee sabeeli Allahifabashshirhum biAAathabin aleem

hoard

جو جمع کرتے ہیں

وہ خرچ کرتے اس کو

[so] give them tidings

پس خوش خبری دے دو ان کو

Urdu —

اے ایمان والو! بیشک (اہلِ کتاب کے) اکثر علماء اور درویش، لوگوں کے مال ناحق (طریقے سے) کھاتے ہیں اور اللہ کی راہ سے روکتے ہیں (یعنی لوگوں کے مال سے اپنی تجوریاں بھرتے ہیں اور دینِ حق کی تقویت و اشاعت پر خرچ کئے جانے سے روکتے ہیں)، اور جو لوگ سونا اور چاندی کا ذخیرہ کرتے ہیں اور اسے اللہ کی راہ میں خرچ نہیں کرتے تو انہیں دردناک عذاب کی خبر سنا دیں

— English

O you who have believed, indeed many of the scholars and the monks devour the wealth of people unjustly and avert [them] from the way of Allah. And those who hoard gold and silver and spend it not in the way of Allah - give them tidings of a painful punishment.

— Transliteration

Alam ya/tihim nabao allatheena minqablihim qawmi noohin waAAadin wathamooda waqawmiibraheema waas-habi madyana walmu/tafikatiatat-hum rusuluhum bilbayyinati fama kanaAllahu liyathlimahum walakin kanooanfusahum yathlimoon

liyaẓlimahum

to wrong them

کہ ظلم کرتا ان پر

walākin

but

اور لیکن

kānū

they were (to)

وہ تھے

anfusahum

themselves

اپنی جانوں پر

yaẓlimūna

doing wrong

ظلم کرتے

Urdu —

کیا ان کے پاس ان لوگوں کی خبر نہیں پہنچی جو ان سے پہلے تھے، قومِ نوح اور عاد اور ثمود اور قومِ ابراہیم اور باشندگانِ مدین اور ان بستیوں کے مکین جو الٹ دی گئیں، ان کے پاس (بھی) ان کے رسول واضح نشانیاں لے کر آئے تھے (مگر انہوں نے نافرمانی کی) پس اللہ تو ایسا نہ تھا کہ ان پر ظلم کرتا لیکن وہ (انکارِ حق کے باعث) اپنے اوپر خود ہی ظلم کرتے تھے

Has there not reached them the news of those before them - the people of Noah and [the tribes of] 'Aad and Thamud and the people of Abraham and the companions of Madyan and the towns overturned? Their messengers came to them with clear proofs. And Allah would never have wronged them, but they were wronging themselves.

— Transliteration

Atta-iboona alAAabidoonaalhamidoona assa-ihoona arrakiAAoonaassajidoona al-amiroona bilmaAAroofiwannahoona AAani almunkari walhafithoonalihudoodi Allahi wabashshiri almu/mineen

and those who forbid

اور حفاظت کرنے والے

حدود کی

(of) Allah

اللہ کی

wabashiri

And give glad tidings

اور خوشخبری دے دو

l-mu'minīna

(to) the believers

مومنوں کو

Urdu —

(یہ مومنین جنہوں نے اللہ سے اُخروی سودا کر لیا ہے) توبہ کرنے والے، عبادت گذار، (اللہ کی) حمد و ثنا کرنے والے، دنیوی لذتوں سے کنارہ کش روزہ دار، (خشوع و خضوع سے) رکوع کرنے والے، (قربِ الٰہی کی خاطر) سجود کرنے والے، نیکی کاحکم کرنے والے اور برائی سے روکنے والے اور اللہ کی (مقرر کردہ) حدود کی حفاظت کرنے والے ہیں، اور ان اہلِ ایمان کو خوشخبری سنا دیجئے

— English

[Such believers are] the repentant, the worshippers, the praisers [of Allah], the travelers [for His cause], those who bow and prostrate [in prayer], those who enjoin what is right and forbid what is wrong, and those who observe the limits [set by] Allah. And give good tidings to the believers.

Akana linnasi AAajabanan awhayna ila rajulin minhum an anthiriannasa wabashshiri allatheena amanooanna lahum qadama sidqin AAinda rabbihim qala alkafiroonainna hatha lasahirun mubeen

Urdu —

کیا یہ بات لوگوں کے لئے تعجب خیز ہے کہ ہم نے انہی میں سے ایک مردِ (کامل) کی طرف وحی بھیجی کہ آپ (بھولے بھٹکے ہوئے) لوگوں کو (عذابِ الٰہی کا) ڈر سنائیں اور ایمان والوں کو خوشخبری سنائیں کہ ان کے لئے ان کے رب کی بارگاہ میں بلند پایہ (یعنی اونچا مرتبہ) ہے، کافر کہنے لگے: بیشک یہ شخص تو کھلا جادوگر ہے

Have the people been amazed that We revealed [revelation] to a man from among them, [saying], "Warn mankind and give good tidings to those who believe that they will have a [firm] precedence of honor with their Lord"? [But] the disbelievers say, "Indeed, this is an obvious magician."

لَهُمُ الۡبُشۡرٰى فِىۡ الۡحَيٰوةِ الدُّنۡيَا وَفِىۡ الۡاٰخِرَةِ‌ؕ لَا تَبۡدِيۡلَ لِـكَلِمٰتِ اللّٰهِ‌ؕ ذٰلِكَ هُوَ الۡفَوۡزُ الۡعَظِيۡمُؕ‏ 

— Transliteration

Lahumu albushra fee alhayatiaddunya wafee al-akhirati latabdeela likalimati Allahi thalika huwaalfawzu alAAatheem

(are) the glad tidings

جو بڑی ہے

Urdu —

ان کے لئے دنیا کی زندگی میں (بھی عزت و مقبولیت کی) بشارت ہے اور آخرت میں (بھی مغفرت و شفاعت کی/ یا دنیا میں بھی نیک خوابوں کی صورت میں پاکیزہ روحانی مشاہدات ہیں اور آخرت میں بھی حُسنِ مطلق کے جلوے اور دیدار)، اللہ کے فرمان بدلا نہیں کرتے، یہی وہ عظیم کامیابی ہے

— English

For them are good tidings in the worldly life and in the Hereafter. No change is there in the words of Allah. That is what is the great attainment.

وَاَوۡحَيۡنَاۤ اِلَىٰ مُوۡسٰى وَاَخِيۡهِ اَنۡ تَبَوَّاٰ لِقَوۡمِكُمَا بِمِصۡرَ بُيُوۡتًا وَّاجۡعَلُوۡا بُيُوۡتَكُمۡ قِبۡلَةً وَّاَقِيۡمُوۡا الصَّلٰوةَ‌ ؕ وَبَشِّرِ الۡمُؤۡمِنِيۡنَ‏ 

— Transliteration

Waawhayna ila moosawaakheehi an tabawwaa liqawmikuma bimisrabuyootan wajAAaloo buyootakum qiblatan waaqeemoo assalatawabashshiri almu/mineen

And We inspired

in Egypt

(in) houses

wa-ij'ʿalū

and make

اور بنا لو

buyūtakum

your houses

اپنے گھروں کو

qib'latan

(as) places of worship

مرکز۔ قبلہ

wa-aqīmū

and establish

اور قائم کرو

l-ṣalata

the prayer

نماز

wabashiri

And give glad tidings

اور خوشخبری دو

l-mu'minīna

(to) the believers

مومنوں کو

Urdu —

اور ہم نے موسٰی (علیہ السلام) اور ان کے بھائی کی طرف وحی بھیجی کہ تم دونوں مصر (کے شہر) میں اپنی قوم کے لئے چند مکانات تیار کرو اور اپنے (ان) گھروں کو (نماز کی ادائیگی کے لئے) قبلہ رخ بناؤ اور (پھر) نماز قائم کرو، اور ایمان والوں کو (فتح و نصرت کی) خوشخبری سنا دو

— English

And We inspired to Moses and his brother, "Settle your people in Egypt in houses and make your houses [facing the] qiblah and establish prayer and give good tidings to the believers."

Alla taAAbudoo illa Allahainnanee lakum minhu natheerun wabasheer

یہ کہ اللہ کے سوا تم کسی کی عبادت مت کرو، بیشک میں تمہارے لئے اس (اللہ) کی جانب سے ڈر سنانے والا اور بشارت دینے والا ہوں

[Through a messenger, saying], "Do not worship except Allah. Indeed, I am to you from Him a warner and a bringer of good tidings,"

Tilka min anba-i alghaybi nooheehailayka ma kunta taAAlamuha anta wala qawmukamin qabli hatha fasbir inna alAAaqibatalilmuttaqeen

Urdu —

یہ (بیان ان) غیب کی خبروں میں سے ہے جو ہم آپ کی طرف وحی کرتے ہیں، اس سے قبل نہ آپ انہیں جانتے تھے اور نہ آپ کی قوم، پس آپ صبر کریں۔ بیشک بہتر انجام پرہیزگاروں ہی کے لئے ہے

— English

That is from the news of the unseen which We reveal to you, [O Muhammad]. You knew it not, neither you nor your people, before this. So be patient; indeed, the [best] outcome is for the righteous.

— Transliteration

Walaqad jaat rusuluna ibraheemabilbushra qaloo salaman qalasalamun fama labitha an jaa biAAijlin haneeth

اور بیشک ہمارے فرستادہ فرشتے ابراہیم (علیہ السلام) کے پاس خوشخبری لے کر آئے، انہوں نے سلام کہا، ابراہیم (علیہ السلام) نے بھی (جوابًا) سلام کہا، پھر (آپ علیہ السلام نے) دیر نہ کی یہاں تک کہ (ان کی میزبانی کے لئے) ایک بھنا ہوا بچھڑا لے آئے

— English

And certainly did Our messengers come to Abraham with good tidings; they said, "Peace." He said, "Peace," and did not delay in bringing [them] a roasted calf.

— Transliteration

Wamraatuhu qa-imatun fadahikatfabashsharnaha bi-ishaqa wamin wara-iishaqa yaAAqoob

And his wife

Then We gave her glad tidings

of Isaac

(of) Yaqub.

اور ان کی اہلیہ (سارہ پاس ہی) کھڑی تھیں تو وہ ہنس پڑیں، سو ہم نے ان (کی زوجہ) کو اسحاق (علیہ السلام) کی اور اسحاق (علیہ السلام) کے بعد یعقوب (علیہ السلام) کی بشارت دی

And his Wife was standing, and she smiled. Then We gave her good tidings of Isaac and after Isaac, Jacob.

پھر جب ابراہیم (علیہ السلام) سے خوف جاتا رہا اور ان کے پاس بشارت آچکی تو ہمارے (فرشتوں کے) ساتھ قومِ لوط کے بارے میں جھگڑنے لگے

And when the fright had left Abraham and the good tidings had reached him, he began to argue with Us concerning the people of Lot.

(اے رسولِ معظم!) یہ (ان) بستیوں کے کچھ حالات ہیں جو ہم آپ کو سنا رہے ہیں ان میں سے کچھ برقرار ہیں اور (کچھ) نیست و نابود ہوگئیں

That is from the news of the cities, which We relate to you; of them, some are [still] standing and some are [as] a harvest [mowed down].

وَكُلاًّ نَّقُصُّ عَلَيۡكَ مِنۡ اَنۡۢبَآءِ الرُّسُلِ مَا نُثَبِّتُ بِهٖ فُؤَادَكَ‌ۚ وَجَآءَكَ فِىۡ هٰذِهِ الۡحَـقُّ وَمَوۡعِظَةٌ وَّذِكۡرٰى لِلۡمُؤۡمِنِيۡنَ‏ 

— Transliteration

Wakullan naqussu AAalayka min anba-iarrusuli ma nuthabbitu bihi fu-adaka wajaakafee hathihi alhaqqu wamawAAithatun wathikralilmu/mineen

the truth

حق

and an admonition

اور نصیحت

and a reminder

اور یاد دہانی

lil'mu'minīna

for the believers

ایمان لانے والوں کے لیے

Urdu —

اور ہم رسولوں کی خبروں میں سے سب حالات آپ کو سنا رہے ہیں جس سے ہم آپ کے قلبِ (اَطہر) کو تقویت دیتے ہیں، اور آپ کے پاس اس (سورت) میں حق اور نصیحت آئی ہے اور اہلِ ایمان کے لئے عبرت (و یاددہانی بھی)

— English

And each [story] We relate to you from the news of the messengers is that by which We make firm your heart. And there has come to you, in this, the truth and an instruction and a reminder for the believers.

وَجَآءَتۡ سَيَّارَةٌ فَاَرۡسَلُوۡا وَارِدَهُمۡ فَاَدۡلَىٰ دَلۡوَهٗ‌ؕ قَالَ يٰبُشۡرٰى هٰذَا غُلٰمٌ‌ؕ وَاَسَرُّوۡهُ بِضَاعَةً ‌ؕ وَاللّٰهُ عَلِيۡمٌۢ بِمَا يَعۡمَلُوۡنَ‏ 

— Transliteration

Wajaat sayyaratun faarsaloo waridahumfaadla dalwahu qala ya bushra hathaghulamun waasarroohu bidaAAatan wallahuAAaleemun bima yaAAmaloon

a caravan

ایک قافلہ

and they sent

their water drawer

He said

بولا

yābush'rā

O od news

واہ خوش خبری

This

یہ

ghulāmun

(is) a boy

تو ایک لڑکا ہے

wa-asarrūhu

And they hid him

اور انہوں نے چھپالیا اس کو

biḍāʿatan

(as) a merchandise

سامان سمجھ کر۔ مال تجارت سمجھ کر

wal-lahu

And Allah

اور اللہ

ʿalīmun

(is) All-Knower

علم والا ہے

bimā

of what

ساتھ اس کے جو

yaʿmalūna

they do

وہ کررہے تھے

Urdu —

اور (ادھر) راہ گیروں کا ایک قافلہ آپہنچا تو انہوں نے اپنا پانی بھرنے والا بھیجا سو اس نے اپنا ڈول (اس کنویں میں) لٹکایا، وہ بول اٹھا: خوشخبری ہو یہ ایک لڑکا ہے، اور انہوں نے اسے قیمتی سامانِ تجارت سمجھتے ہوئے چھپا لیا، اور اﷲ ان کاموں کو جو وہ کر رہے تھے خوب جاننے والا ہے

— English

And there came a company of travelers; then they sent their water drawer, and he let down his bucket. He said, "Good news! Here is a boy." And they concealed him, [taking him] as merchandise; and Allah was knowing of what they did.

يٰبَنِىَّ اذۡهَبُوۡا فَتَحَسَّسُوۡا مِنۡ يُّوۡسُفَ وَاَخِيۡهِ وَلَا تَايۡــَٔسُوۡا مِنۡ رَّوۡحِ اللّٰهِ‌ؕ اِنَّهٗ لَا يَايۡــَٔسُ مِنۡ رَّوۡحِ اللّٰهِ اِلَّا الۡقَوۡمُ الۡكٰفِرُوۡنَ‏ 

— Transliteration

Ya baniyya ithhaboo fatahassasoomin yoosufa waakheehi wala tay-asoo min rawhi Allahiinnahu la yay-asu min rawhi Allahi illaalqawmu alkafiroon

اے میرے بیٹو! جاؤ (کہیں سے) یوسف (علیہ السلام) اور اس کے بھائی کی خبر لے آؤ اور اﷲ کی رحمت سے مایوس نہ ہو، بیشک اﷲ کی رحمت سے صرف وہی لوگ مایوس ہوتے ہیں جو کافر ہیں

— English

O my sons, go and find out about Joseph and his brother and despair not of relief from Allah. Indeed, no one despairs of relief from Allah except the disbelieving people."

فَلَمَّاۤ اَنۡ جَآءَ الۡبَشِيۡرُ اَلۡقٰٮهُ عَلٰى وَجۡهِهٖ فَارۡتَدَّ بَصِيۡرًا‌ۚ قَالَ اَلَمۡ اَقُل لَّـكُمۡ‌ۚ‌ ۙ اِنِّىۡۤ اَعۡلَمُ مِنَ اللّٰهِ مَا لَا تَعۡلَمُوۡنَ‏ 

— Transliteration

Falamma an jaa albasheeru alqahuAAala wajhihi fartadda baseeran qalaalam aqul lakum innee aAAlamu mina Allahi ma lataAAlamoon

تم جانتے

Urdu —

پھر جب خوشخبری سنانے والا آپہنچا اس نے وہ قمیض یعقوب (علیہ السلام) کے چہرے پر ڈال دیا تو اسی وقت ان کی بینائی لوٹ آئی، یعقوب (علیہ السلام) نے فرمایا: کیا میں تم سے نہیں کہتا تھا کہ بیشک میں اﷲ کی طرف سے وہ کچھ جانتا ہوں جو تم نہیں جانتے

— English

And when the bearer of good tidings arrived, he cast it over his face, and he returned [once again] seeing. He said, "Did I not tell you that I know from Allah that which you do not know?"

(were) plotting

چالیں چل رہے تھے

Urdu —

(اے حبیبِ مکرّم!) یہ (قصّہ) غیب کی خبروں میں سے ہے جسے ہم آپ کی طرف وحی فرما رہے ہیں، اور آپ (کوئی) ان کے پاس موجود نہ تھے جب وہ (برادرانِ یوسف) اپنی سازشی تدبیر پر جمع ہو رہے تھے اور وہ مکر و فریب کر رہے تھے

— English

That is from the news of the unseen which We reveal, [O Muhammad], to you. And you were not with them when they put together their plan while they conspired.

اَلَمۡ يَاۡتِكُمۡ نَبَـؤُا الَّذِيۡنَ مِنۡ قَبۡلِكُمۡ قَوۡمِ نُوۡحٍ وَّعَادٍ وَّثَمُوۡدَ‌ۛ ؕ وَالَّذِيۡنَ مِنۡۢ بَعۡدِهِمۡ‌ۛ ؕ لَا يَعۡلَمُهُمۡ اِلَّا اللّٰهُ‌ؕ جَآءَتۡهُمۡ رُسُلُهُمۡ بِالۡبَيِّنٰتِ فَرَدُّوۡۤا اَيۡدِيَهُمۡ فِىۡۤ اَفۡوَاهِهِمۡ وَقَالُوۡۤا اِنَّا كَفَرۡنَا بِمَاۤ اُرۡسِلۡـتُمۡ بِهٖ وَاِنَّا لَفِىۡ شَكٍّ مِّمَّا تَدۡعُوۡنَـنَاۤ اِلَيۡهِ مُرِيۡبٍ‏ 

— Transliteration

Alam ya/tikum nabao allatheena minqablikum qawmi noohin waAAadin wathamooda wallatheenamin baAAdihim la yaAAlamuhum illa Allahu jaat-humrusuluhum bilbayyinati faraddoo aydiyahum fee afwahihimwaqaloo inna kafarna bima orsiltumbihi wa-inna lafee shakkin mimma tadAAoonanailayhi mureeb

Came to them

آئے ان کے پاس

their Messengers

ان کے رسول

bil-bayināti

with clear proofs

ساتھ روشن دلائل کے

faraddū

but they returned

تو انہوں نے پھیر دیا

aydiyahum

their hands

اپنے ہاتھوں کو

fī

میں

afwāhihim

their mouths

اپنے مونہوں میں

waqālū

and they said

اور کہا

innā

"Indeed we

بیشک

kafarnā

[we] disbelieve

ہم کفر کرتے ہیں

bimā

in what

ساتھ اس کے

ur'sil'tum

you have been sent

جو بھیجے گئے تم

bihi

with [it],

ساتھ اس کے

wa-innā

and indeed, we

اور بیشک ہم

lafī

(are) surely in

البتہ میں ہیں

shakkin

doubt

شک

mimmā

about what

اس چیز سے

tadʿūnanā

you invite us

جو تم بلاتے ہو ہم کو

ilayhi

to it

اس کی طرف

murībin

suspicious

بےچین ہیں

Urdu —

کیا تمہیں ان لوگوں کی خبر نہیں پہنچی جو تم سے پہلے ہو گزرے ہیں، (وہ) قومِ نوح اور عاد اور ثمود (کی قوموں کے لوگ) تھے اور (کچھ) لوگ جو ان کے بعد ہوئے، انہیں اللہ کے سوا کوئی نہیں جانتا (کیونکہ وہ صفحۂ ہستی سے بالکل نیست و نابود ہو چکے ہیں)، ان کے پاس ان کے رسول واضح نشانیوں کے ساتھ آئے تھے پس انہوں نے (اَز راہِ تمسخر و عناد) اپنے ہاتھ اپنے مونہوں میں ڈال لئے اور (بڑی جسارت کے ساتھ) کہنے لگے: ہم نے اس (دین) کا انکار کر دیا جس کے ساتھ تم بھیجے گئے ہو اور یقیناً ہم اس چیز کی نسبت اضطراب انگیز شک میں مبتلا ہیں جس کی طرف تم ہمیں دعوت دیتے ہو

— English

Has there not reached you the news of those before you - the people of Noah and 'Aad and Thamud and those after them? No one knows them but Allah. Their messengers brought them clear proofs, but they returned their hands to their mouths and said, "Indeed, we disbelieve in that with which you have been sent, and indeed we are, about that to which you invite us, in disquieting doubt."

Wajaa ahlu almadeenati yastabshiroon

— Transliteration

Innama harrama AAalaykumualmaytata waddama walahma alkhinzeeri wamaohilla lighayri Allahi bihi famani idturra ghayra baghinwala AAadin fa-inna Allaha ghafoorun raheem

(is) forced

مجبور کیا گیا

without (being)

نہ

bāghin

disobedient

خواہش مند ہو۔ نہ چاہنے والا ہو

walā

and not

اور نہ

ʿādin

a transgressor

حد سے گزرنے والا

fa-inna

then indeed,

تو بیشک

l-laha

Allah

اللہ تعالیٰ

ghafūrun

(is) Oft-Forgiving

غفور،

raḥīmun

Most Merciful

رحیم ہے

Urdu —

اس نے تم پر صرف مردار اور خون اور خنزیر کا گوشت اور وہ (جانور) جس پر ذبح کرتے وقت غیر اللہ کا نام پکارا گیا ہو، حرام کیا ہے، پھر جو شخص حالتِ اضطرار (یعنی انتہائی مجبوری کی حالت) میں ہو، نہ (طلبِ لذت میں احکامِ الٰہی سے) سرکشی کرنے والا ہو اور نہ (مجبوری کی حد سے) تجاوز کرنے والا ہو، تو بیشک اللہ بڑا بخشنے والا نہایت مہربان ہے

— English

He has only forbidden to you dead animals, blood, the flesh of swine, and that which has been dedicated to other than Allah. But whoever is forced [by necessity], neither desiring [it] nor transgressing [its limit] - then indeed, Allah is Forgiving and Merciful.

وَلَا تَقُوۡلُوۡا لِمَا تَصِفُ اَلۡسِنَـتُكُمُ الۡكَذِبَ هٰذَا حَلٰلٌ وَّهٰذَا حَرَامٌ لِّـتَفۡتَرُوۡا عَلَى اللّٰهِ الۡكَذِبَ‌ؕ اِنَّ الَّذِيۡنَ يَفۡتَرُوۡنَ عَلَى اللّٰهِ الۡكَذِبَ لَا يُفۡلِحُوۡنَؕ‏ 

— Transliteration

Wala taqooloo lima tasifualsinatukumu alkathiba hatha halalunwahatha haramun litaftaroo AAala Allahialkathiba inna allatheena yaftaroona AAalaAllahi alkathiba la yuflihoon

**they will not succeed.

they will not succeed

فلاح پائیں گے

Urdu —

اور وہ جھوٹ مت کہا کرو جو تمہاری زبانیں بیان کرتی رہتی ہیں کہ یہ حلال ہے اور یہ حرام ہے اس طرح کہ تم اللہ پر جھوٹا بہتان باندھو، بیشک جو لوگ اللہ پر جھوٹا بہتان باندھتے ہیں وہ (کبھی) فلاح نہیں پائیں گے

— English

And do not say about what your tongues assert of untruth, "This is lawful and this is unlawful," to invent falsehood about Allah. Indeed, those who invent falsehood about Allah will not succeed.

وَيَوۡمَ نَـبۡعَثُ فِىۡ كُلِّ اُمَّةٍ شَهِيۡدًا عَلَيۡهِمۡ مِّنۡ اَنۡفُسِهِمۡ‌ وَجِئۡنَا بِكَ شَهِيۡدًا عَلٰى هٰٓؤُلَۤاءِ‌ؕ وَنَزَّلۡنَا عَلَيۡكَ الۡـكِتٰبَ تِبۡيَانًا لِّـكُلِّ شَىۡءٍ وَّهُدًى وَّرَحۡمَةً وَّبُشۡرٰى لِلۡمُسۡلِمِيۡنَ‏ 

— Transliteration

Wayawma nabAAathu fee kulli ommatinshaheedan AAalayhim min anfusihim waji/na bika shaheedanAAala haola-i wanazzalna AAalaykaalkitaba tibyanan likulli shay-in wahudan warahmatanwabushra lilmuslimeen

wahudan

and a guidance

اور ہدایت

waraḥmatan

and mercy

اور رحمت

wabush'rā

and glad tidings

اور خوشخبری

lil'mus'limīna

for the Muslims

مسلمانوں کے لیے

Urdu —

اور (یہ) وہ دن ہوگا (جب) ہم ہر امت میں انہی میں سے خود ان پر ایک گواہ اٹھائیں گے اور (اے حبیبِ مکرّم!) ہم آپ کو ان سب (امتوں اور پیغمبروں) پر گواہ بنا کر لائیں گے، اور ہم نے آپ پر وہ عظیم کتاب نازل فرمائی ہے جو ہر چیز کا بڑا واضح بیان ہے اور مسلمانوں کے لئے ہدایت اور رحمت اور بشارت ہے

— English

And [mention] the Day when We will resurrect among every nation a witness over them from themselves. And We will bring you, [O Muhammad], as a witness over your nation. And We have sent down to you the Book as clarification for all things and as guidance and mercy and good tidings for the Muslims.

— Transliteration

Qul nazzalahu roohu alqudusi minrabbika bilhaqqi liyuthabbita allatheena amanoowahudan wabushra lilmuslimeen

فرما دیجئے: اس (قرآن) کو روحُ القدس (جبرئیل علیہ السلام) نے آپ کے رب کی طرف سے سچائی کے ساتھ اتارا ہے تاکہ ایمان والوں کو ثابت قدم رکھے اور (یہ) مسلمانوں کے لئے ہدایت اور بشارت ہے

— English

Say, [O Muhammad], "The Pure Spirit has brought it down from your Lord in truth to make firm those who believe and as guidance and good tidings to the Muslims."

the righteous deeds

(is) a reward

اجر ہے

بڑا

Urdu —

بیشک یہ قرآن اس (منزل) کی طرف رہنمائی کرتا ہے جو سب سے درست ہے اور ان مومنوں کو جو نیک عمل کرتے ہیں اس بات کی خوشخبری سناتا ہے کہ ان کے لئے بڑا اجر ہے

— English

Indeed, this Qur'an guides to that which is most suitable and gives good tidings to the believers who do righteous deeds that they will have a great reward.

Al-IsraaThe Night Journey017surahرات کا صفر

وَبِالۡحَـقِّ اَنۡزَلۡنٰهُ وَبِالۡحَـقِّ نَزَلَ‌ؕ وَمَاۤ اَرۡسَلۡنٰكَ اِلَّا مُبَشِّرًا وَّنَذِيۡرًا‌ۘ‏ 

— Transliteration

Wabilhaqqi anzalnahuwabilhaqqi nazala wama arsalnaka illamubashshiran wanatheera

And with the truth

اور حق کے ساتھ

We sent it down

نازل کیا ہم نے اس کو

We sent you

except

mubashiran

(as) a bearer of glad tidings

خوش خبری دینے والا

and a warner

اور ڈرانے والا

اور حق کے ساتھ ہی ہم نے اس (قرآن) کو اتارا ہے اور حق ہی کے ساتھ وہ اترا ہے، اور (اے حبیبِ مکرّم!) ہم نے آپ کو خوشخبری سنانے والا اور ڈر سنانے والا ہی بنا کر بھیجا ہے

— English

And with the truth We have sent the Qur'an down, and with the truth it has descended. And We have not sent you, [O Muhammad], except as a bringer of good tidings and a warner.

قَيِّمًا لِّيُنۡذِرَ بَاۡسًا شَدِيۡدًا مِّنۡ لَّدُنۡهُ وَيُبَشِّرَ الۡمُؤۡمِنِيۡنَ الَّذِيۡنَ يَعۡمَلُوۡنَ الصّٰلِحٰتِ اَنَّ لَهُمۡ اَجۡرًا حَسَنًاۙ‏ 

— Transliteration

Qayyiman liyunthira ba/san shadeedanmin ladunhu wayubashshira almu/mineena allatheenayaAAmaloona assalihati anna lahum ajran hasana

(اسے) سیدھا اور معتدل (بنایا) تاکہ وہ (منکرین کو) اﷲ کی طرف سے (آنے والے) شدید عذاب سے ڈرائے اور مومنین کو جو نیک اعمال کرتے ہیں خوشخبری سنائے کہ ان کے لئے بہتر اجر (جنت) ہے

— English

[He has made it] straight, to warn of severe punishment from Him and to give good tidings to the believers who do righteous deeds that they will have a good reward

وَمَا نُرۡسِلُ الۡمُرۡسَلِيۡنَ اِلَّا مُبَشِّرِيۡنَ وَمُنۡذِرِيۡنَ‌ۚ وَيُجَادِلُ الَّذِيۡنَ كَفَرُوۡا بِالۡبَاطِلِ لِيُدۡحِضُوۡا بِهِ الۡحَـقَّ‌ وَاتَّخَذُوۡۤا اٰيٰتِىۡ وَمَاۤ اُنۡذِرُوۡا هُزُوًا‏ 

— Transliteration

Wama nursilu almursaleena illamubashshireena wamunthireena wayujadilu allatheenakafaroo bilbatili liyudhidoo bihi alhaqqawattakhathoo ayatee wama onthiroohuzuwa

And dispute

اور جھگڑتے ہیں

جنہوں نے کفر کیا

bil-bāṭili

with falsehood

ساتھ باطل کے

liyud'ḥiḍū

to refute

تاکہ زائل کردیں/ پھسلا دیں

bihi

thereby

ساتھ اس کے

l-ḥaqa

the truth

حق کو

wa-ittakhadhū

And they take

اور انہوں نے بنالیا

āyātī

My Verses

میری آیات کو

wamā

and what

اور جس سے

undhirū

they are warned

وہ ڈرائے گئے

huzuwan

(in) ridicule

مذاق

Urdu —

اور ہم رسولوں کو نہیں بھیجا کرتے مگر (لوگوں کو) خوشخبری سنانے والے اور ڈر سنانے والے (بنا کر)، اور کافر لوگ (ان رسولوں سے) بیہودہ باتوں کے سہارے جھگڑا کرتے ہیں تاکہ اس (باطل) کے ذریعہ حق کو زائل کردیں اور وہ میری آیتوں کو اور اس (عذاب) کو جس سے وہ ڈرائے جاتے ہیں ہنسی مذاق بنا لیتے ہیں

— English

And We send not the messengers except as bringers of good tidings and warners. And those who disbelieve dispute by [using] falsehood to [attempt to] invalidate thereby the truth and have taken My verses, and that of which they are warned, in ridicule.

يٰزَكَرِيَّاۤ اِنَّا نُبَشِّرُكَ بِغُلٰم ۨاسۡمُهٗ يَحۡيٰىۙ لَمۡ نَجۡعَل لَّهٗ مِنۡ قَبۡلُ سَمِيًّا‏ 

— Transliteration

Ya zakariyya innanubashshiruka bighulamin ismuhu yahya lamnajAAal lahu min qablu samiyya

اے زکریا

Indeed, We

(ارشاد ہوا:) اے زکریا! بیشک ہم تمہیں ایک لڑکے کی خوشخبری سناتے ہیں جس کا نام یحیٰی (علیہ السلام) ہوگا ہم نے اس سے پہلے اس کا کوئی ہم نام نہیں بنایا

[He was told], "O Zechariah, indeed We give you good tidings of a boy whose name will be John. We have not assigned to any before [this] name."

Fa-innama yassarnahu bilisanikalitubashshira bihi almuttaqeena watunthira bihi qawmanludda

We (have) made it easy

Urdu —

سو بیشک ہم نے اس (قرآن) کو آپ کی زبان میں ہی آسان کر دیا ہے تاکہ آپ اس کے ذریعہ پرہیزگاروں کو خوشخبری سنا سکیں اور اس کے ذریعہ جھگڑالو قوم کو ڈر سنا سکیں

— English

So, [O Muhammad], We have only made Qur'an easy in the Arabic language that you may give good tidings thereby to the righteous and warn thereby a hostile people.

Taa-HaaTaa-Haa020surahطٰہٰ

Urdu —

اس طرح ہم آپ کو (اے حبیبِ معظّم!) ان (قوموں) کی خبریں سناتے ہیں جو گزر چکی ہیں اور بیشک ہم نے آپ کو اپنی خاص جناب سے ذکر (یعنی نصیحت نامہ) عطا فرمایا ہے

— English

Thus, [O Muhammad], We relate to you from the news of what has preceded. And We have certainly given you from Us the Qur'an.

وَلِكُلِّ اُمَّةٍ جَعَلۡنَا مَنۡسَكًا لِّيَذۡكُرُوۡا اسۡمَ اللّٰهِ عَلٰى مَا رَزَقَهُمۡ مِّنۡۢ بَهِيۡمَةِ الۡاَنۡعَامِؕ فَاِلٰهُكُمۡ اِلٰـهٌ وَّاحِدٌ فَلَهٗۤ اَسۡلِمُوۡا‌ؕ وَبَشِّرِ الۡمُخۡبِتِيۡنَۙ‏ 

— Transliteration

Walikulli ommatin jaAAalna mansakanliyathkuroo isma Allahi AAala marazaqahum min baheemati al-anAAami fa-ilahukum ilahunwahidun falahu aslimoo wabashshiri almukhbiteen

مطیع ہوجاؤ۔ فرمانبردار بن جاؤ

And give glad tidings

اور خوشخبری دو

l-mukh'bitīna

(to) the humble ones

عاجزانہ روش اختیار کرنے والوں کو

Urdu —

اور ہم نے ہر امت کے لئے ایک قربانی مقرر کر دی ہے تاکہ وہ ان مویشی چوپایوں پر جو اﷲ نے انہیں عنایت فرمائے ہیں (ذبح کے وقت) اﷲ کا نام لیں، سو تمہارا معبود ایک (ہی) معبود ہے پس تم اسی کے فرمانبردار بن جاؤ، اور (اے حبیب!) عاجزی کرنے والوں کو خوشخبری سنا دیں

— English

And for all religion We have appointed a rite [of sacrifice] that they may mention the name of Allah over what He has provided for them of [sacrificial] animals. For your god is one God, so to Him submit. And, [O Muhammad], give good tidings to the humble [before their Lord]

لَنۡ يَّنَالَ اللّٰهَ لُحُـوۡمُهَا وَلَا دِمَآؤُهَا وَلٰـكِنۡ يَّنَالُهُ التَّقۡوٰى مِنۡكُمۡ‌ؕ كَذٰلِكَ سَخَّرَهَا لَـكُمۡ لِتُكَبِّرُوا اللّٰهَ عَلٰى مَا هَدٰٮكُمۡ‌ؕ وَبَشِّرِ الۡمُحۡسِنِيۡنَ‏ 

— Transliteration

Lan yanala Allaha luhoomuhawala dimaoha walakin yanaluhuattaqwa minkum kathalika sakhkharahalakum litukabbiroo Allaha AAala ma hadakumwabashshiri almuhsineen

He has guided you

اس نے ہدایت دی تم کو

And give glad tidings

اور خوشخبری دے دو

l-muḥ'sinīna

(to) the good-doers

احسان کرنے والوں کو

Urdu —

ہرگز نہ (تو) اﷲ کو ان (قربانیوں) کا گوشت پہنچتا ہے اور نہ ان کا خون مگر اسے تمہاری طرف سے تقوٰی پہنچتا ہے، اس طرح (اﷲ نے) انہیں تمہارے تابع کر دیا ہے تاکہ تم (وقتِ ذبح) اﷲ کی تکبیر کہو جیسے اس نے تمہیں ہدایت فرمائی ہے، اور آپ نیکی کرنے والوں کو خوشخبری سنا دیں

— English

Their meat will not reach Allah, nor will their blood, but what reaches Him is piety from you. Thus have We subjected them to you that you may glorify Allah for that [to] which He has guided you; and give good tidings to the doers of good.

— Transliteration

Yawma yarawna almala-ikata labushra yawma-ithin lilmujrimeena wayaqooloona hijranmahjoora

جس دن وہ فرشتوں کو دیکھیں گے (تو) اس دن مجرموں کے لئے چنداں خوشی کی بات نہ ہوگی بلکہ وہ (انہیں دیکھ کر ڈرتے ہوئے) کہیں گے: کوئی روک والی آڑ ہوتی (جو ہمیں ان سے بچا لیتی یا فرشتے انہیں دیکھ کر کہیں گے کہ تم پر داخلۂ جنت قطعاً ممنوع ہے)o

The day they see the angels - no good tidings will there be that day for the criminals, and [the angels] will say, "Prevented and inaccessible."

And it is He who sends the winds as good tidings before His mercy, and We send down from the sky pure water

And We have not sent you, [O Muhammad], except as a bringer of good tidings and a warner.

For they have already denied, but there will come to them the news of that which they used to ridicule.

(وہ واقعہ یاد کریں) جب موسٰی (علیہ السلام) نے اپنی اہلیہ سے فرمایا کہ میں نے ایک آگ دیکھی ہے (یا مجھے ایک آگ میں شعلۂ انس و محبت نظر آیا ہے)، عنقریب میں تمہارے پاس اس میں سے کوئی خبر لاتا ہوں (جس کے لئے مدت سے دشت و بیاباں میں پھر رہے ہیں) یا تمہیں (بھی اس میں سے) کوئی چمکتا ہوا انگارا لا دیتا ہوں تاکہ تم (بھی اس کی حرارت سے) تپ اٹھو

— English

[Mention] when Moses said to his family, "Indeed, I have perceived a fire. I will bring you from there information or will bring you a burning torch that you may warm yourselves."

— Transliteration

Amman yahdeekum fee thulumatialbarri walbahri waman yursilu arriyahabushran bayna yaday rahmatihi a-ilahun maAAa AllahitaAAala Allahu AAamma yushrikoon

they associate (with Him)

وہ شریک ٹھہرا رہے ہیں

بلکہ وہ کون ہے جو تمہیں خشک و تر (یعنی زمین اور سمندر) کی تاریکیوں میں راستہ دکھاتا ہے اور جو ہواؤں کو اپنی (بارانِ) رحمت سے پہلے خوشخبری بنا کر بھیجتا ہے؟ کیا اللہ کے ساتھ کوئی (اور بھی) معبود ہے؟ اللہ ان (معبودانِ باطلہ) سے برتر ہے جنہیں وہ شریک ٹھہراتے ہیں

Is He [not best] who guides you through the darknesses of the land and sea and who sends the winds as good tidings before His mercy? Is there a deity with Allah? High is Allah above whatever they associate with Him.

نَـتۡلُوۡا عَلَيۡكَ مِنۡ نَّبَاِ مُوۡسٰى وَفِرۡعَوۡنَ بِالۡحَـقِّ لِقَوۡمٍ يُّؤۡمِنُوۡنَ‏ 

Natloo AAalayka min naba-i moosawafirAAawna bilhaqqi liqawmin yu/minoon

We recite to you from the news of Moses and Pharaoh in truth for a people who believe.

فَلَمَّا قَضٰى مُوۡسَى الۡاَجَلَ وَسَارَ بِاَهۡلِهٖۤ اٰنَسَ مِنۡ جَانِبِ الطُّوۡرِ نَارًا‌ۚ قَالَ لِاَهۡلِهِ امۡكُثُوۡۤا اِنِّىۡۤ اٰنَسۡتُ نَارًا‌ لَّعَلِّىۡۤ اٰتِيۡكُمۡ مِّنۡهَا بِخَبَرٍ اَوۡ جَذۡوَةٍ مِّنَ النَّارِ لَعَلَّكُمۡ تَصۡطَلُوۡنَ‏ 

— Transliteration

Falamma qada moosaal-ajala wasara bi-ahlihi anasa min janibi attoorinaran qala li-ahlihi omkuthoo innee anastu naranlaAAallee ateekum minha bikhabarin aw jathwatinmina annari laAAallakum tastaloon

پھر جب موسٰی (علیہ السلام) نے مقررہ مدت پوری کر لی اور اپنی اہلیہ کو لے کر چلے (تو) انہوں نے طور کی جانب سے ایک آگ دیکھی (وہ شعلۂ حسنِ مطلق تھا جس کی طرف آپ کی طبیعت مانوس ہوگئی)، انہوں نے اپنی اہلیہ سے فرمایا: تم (یہیں) ٹھہرو میں نے آگ دیکھی ہے۔ شاید میں تمہارے لئے اس (آگ) سے کچھ (اُس کی) خبر لاؤں (جس کی تلاش میں مدتوں سے سرگرداں ہوں) یا آتشِ (سوزاں) کی کوئی چنگاری (لادوں) تاکہ تم (بھی) تپ اٹھو

— English

And when Moses had completed the term and was traveling with his family, he perceived from the direction of the mount a fire. He said to his family, "Stay here; indeed, I have perceived a fire. Perhaps I will bring you from there [some] information or burning wood from the fire that you may warm yourselves."

وَلٰـكِنَّاۤ اَنۡشَاۡنَا قُرُوۡنًا فَتَطَاوَلَ عَلَيۡهِمُ الۡعُمُرُ‌ۚ وَمَا كُنۡتَ ثَاوِيًا فِىۡۤ اَهۡلِ مَدۡيَنَ تَـتۡلُوۡا عَلَيۡهِمۡ اٰيٰتِنَاۙ وَلٰـكِنَّا كُنَّا مُرۡسِلِيۡنَ‏ 

— Transliteration

Walakinna ansha-naquroonan fatatawala AAalayhimu alAAumuru wama kuntathawiyan fee ahli madyana tatloo AAalayhim ayatinawalakinna kunna mursileen

Our Verses

ہماری آیات

walākinnā

but We

لیکن/مگر ہم

kunnā

[We] were

تھے ہم ہی

mur'silīna

the Senders

بھیجنے والے

Urdu —

لیکن ہم نے (موسٰی علیہ السلام کے بعد یکے بعد دیگرے) کئی قومیں پیدا فرمائیں پھر ان پر طویل مدّت گزر گئی، اور نہ (ہی) آپ (موسٰی اور شعیب علیہما السلام کی طرح) اہل مدین میں مقیم تھے کہ آپ ان پر ہماری آیتیں پڑھ کر سناتے ہوں لیکن ہم ہی (آپ کو اخبارِ غیب سے سرفراز فرما کر) مبعوث فرمانے والے ہیں

— English

But We produced [many] generations [after Moses], and prolonged was their duration. And you were not a resident among the people of Madyan, reciting to them Our verses, but We were senders [of this message].

Walamma jaat rusulunaibraheema bilbushra qaloo innamuhlikoo ahli hathihi alqaryati inna ahlaha kanoothalimeen

ہلاک کرنے والے ہیں

رہنے والوں کو

اس

town

بستی کے (رہنے والوں کو)

inna

Indeed,

کیونکہ

ahlahā

its people

اس کے رہنے والے

kānū

are

ہیں

ẓālimīna

wrongdoers

ظالم ہوچکے (ہیں)

Urdu —

اور جب ہمارے بھیجے ہوئے (فرشتے) ابراہیم (علیہ السلام) کے پاس خوشخبری لے کر آئے (تو) انہوں نے (ساتھ) یہ (بھی) کہا کہ ہم اس بستی کے مکینوں کو ہلاک کرنے والے ہیں کیونکہ یہاں کے باشندے ظالم ہیں

— English

And when Our messengers came to Abraham with the good tidings, they said, "Indeed, we will destroy the people of that Lot's city. Indeed, its people have been wrongdoers."

— Transliteration

Wamin ayatihi an yursila arriyahamubashshiratin waliyutheeqakum min rahmatihiwalitajriya alfulku bi-amrihi walitabtaghoo min fadlihiwalaAAallakum tashkuroon

and that may sail

اور تاکہ چلیں

the ships

کشتیا ں

bi-amrihi

at His Command

اس کے حکم کے ساتھ

walitabtaghū

and that you may seek

اور تاکہ تم تلاش کرو

min

میں سے

faḍlihi

His Bounty

اس کے فضل

walaʿallakum

and that you may

اور تاکہ تم

tashkurūna

be grateful

تم شکر ادا کرو

Urdu —

اور اس کی نشانیوں میں سے یہ (بھی) ہے کہ وہ (بارش کی) خوشخبری سنانے والی ہواؤں کو بھیجتا ہے تاکہ تمہیں (بارش کے ثمرات کی صورت میں) اپنی رحمت سے بہرہ اندوز فرمائے اور تاکہ (ان ہواؤں کے ذریعے) جہاز (بھی) اس کے حکم سے چلیں۔ اور (یہ سب) اس لئے ہے کہ تم اس کا فضل (بصورتِ زراعت و تجارت) تلاش کرو اور شاید تم (یوں) شکرگزار ہو جاؤ

— English

And of His signs is that He sends the winds as bringers of good tidings and to let you taste His mercy and so the ships may sail at His command and so you may seek of His bounty, and perhaps you will be grateful.

— Transliteration

Wa-itha tutla AAalayhi ayatunawalla mustakbiran kaan lam yasmaAAha kaanna fee othunayhiwaqran fabashshirhu biAAathabin aleem

بوجھ ہے

So give him tidings

تو خوشخبری دے دو اس کو

biʿadhābin

of a punishment

عذاب کی

painful

دردناک

Urdu —

اور جب اس پر ہماری آیتیں پڑھ کر سنائی جاتی ہیں تو وہ غرور کرتے ہوئے منہ پھیر لیتا ہے گویا اس نے انہیں سنا ہی نہیں، جیسے اس کے کانوں میں (بہرے پن کی) گرانی ہے، سو آپ اسے دردناک عذاب کی خبر سنا دیں

— English

And when our verses are recited to him, he turns away arrogantly as if he had not heard them, as if there was in his ears deafness. So give him tidings of a painful punishment.

Yahsaboona al-ahzabalam yathhaboo wa-in ya/ti al-ahzabu yawaddoolaw annahum badoona fee al-aAArabi yas-aloona AAananba-ikum walaw kanoo feekum ma qatalooilla qaleela

تم لوگوں کے حالات

they were

وہ ہوتے

among you

تم میں

mā

not

نہ

qātalū

they would fight

وہ جنگ کرتے

illā

except

مگر

qalīlan

a little

بہت کم

Urdu —

یہ لوگ (ابھی تک یہ) گمان کرتے ہیں کہ کافروں کے لشکر (واپس) نہیں گئے اور اگر وہ لشکر (دوبارہ) آجائیں تو یہ چاہیں گے کہ کاش وہ دیہاتیوں میں جا کر بادیہ نشین ہو جائیں (اور) تمہاری خبریں دریافت کرتے رہیں، اور اگر وہ تمہارے اندر موجود ہوں تو بھی بہت ہی کم لوگوں کے سوا وہ جنگ نہیں کریں گے

— English

They think the companies have not [yet] withdrawn. And if the companies should come [again], they would wish they were in the desert among the bedouins, inquiring [from afar] about your news. And if they should be among you, they would not fight except for a little.

Ya ayyuha annabiyyuinna arsalnaka shahidan wamubashshiran wanatheera

and a bearer of glad tidings

اے نبیِ (مکرّم!) بیشک ہم نے آپ کو (حق اور خَلق کا) مشاہدہ کرنے والا اور (حُسنِ آخرت کی) خوشخبری دینے والا اور (عذابِ آخرت کا) ڈر سنانے والا بنا کر بھیجا ہے

— English

O Prophet, indeed We have sent you as a witness and a bringer of good tidings and a warner.

And give good tidings to the believers that they will have from Allah great bounty.

اور (اے حبیبِ مکرّم!) ہم نے آپ کو نہیں بھیجا مگر اس طرح کہ (آپ) پوری انسانیت کے لئے خوشخبری سنانے والے اور ڈر سنانے والے ہیں لیکن اکثر لوگ نہیں جانتے

— English

And We have not sent you except comprehensively to mankind as a bringer of good tidings and a warner. But most of the people do not know.

اِنَّاۤ اَرۡسَلۡنٰكَ بِالۡحَـقِّ بَشِيۡرًا وَّنَذِيۡرًاؕ وَاِنۡ مِّنۡ اُمَّةٍ اِلَّا خَلَا فِيۡهَا نَذِيۡرٌ‏ 

— Transliteration

Inna arsalnaka bilhaqqibasheeran wanatheeran wa-in min ommatin illa khalafeeha natheer

بیشک ہم نے آپ کو حق و ہدایت کے ساتھ، خوشخبری سنانے والا اور (آخرت کا) ڈر سنانے والا بنا کر بھیجا ہے۔ اور کوئی امّت (ایسی) نہیں مگر اُس میں کوئی (نہ کوئی) ڈر سنانے والا (ضرور) گزرا ہے

— English

Indeed, We have sent you with the truth as a bringer of good tidings and a warner. And there was no nation but that there had passed within it a warner.

YaseenYaseen036surahیٰسٓ

MakkiSerial: Revelation: 41Verses: 83Parah: 22,23Rukus: 5Sajda: ---

اِنَّمَا تُنۡذِرُ مَنِ اتَّبَعَ الذِّكۡرَ وَخَشِىَ الرَّحۡمٰنَ بِالۡغَيۡبِۚ فَبَشِّرۡهُ بِمَغۡفِرَةٍ وَّاَجۡرٍ كَرِيۡمٍ‏ 

— Transliteration

Innama tunthiru mani ittabaAAaaththikra wakhashiya arrahmanabilghaybi fabashshirhu bimaghfiratin waajrin kareem

and a reward

Urdu —

آپ تو صرف اسی شخص کو ڈر سناتے ہیں جو نصیحت کی پیروی کرتا ہے اور خدائے رحمان سے بن دیکھے ڈرتا ہے، سو آپ اسے بخشش اور بڑی عزت والے اجر کی خوشخبری سنا دیں

— English

You can only warn one who follows the message and fears the Most Merciful unseen. So give him good tidings of forgiveness and noble reward.

Wallatheena ijtanaboo attaghootaan yaAAbudooha waanaboo ila Allahilahumu albushra fabashshir AAibad

میرے بندوں کو

اور جو لوگ بتوں کی پرستش کرنے سے بچے رہے اور اللہ کی طرف جھکے رہے، ان کے لئے خوشخبری ہے، پس آپ میرے بندوں کو بشارت دے دیجئے

But those who have avoided Taghut, lest they worship it, and turned back to Allah - for them are good tidings. So give good tidings to My servants

Urdu —

اور کہتے ہیں کہ ہمارے دل اُس چیز سے غلافوں میں ہیں جس کی طرف آپ ہمیں بلاتے ہیں اور ہمارے کانوں میں (بہرے پن کا) بوجھ ہے اور ہمارے اور آپ کے درمیان پردہ ہے سو آپ (اپنا) عمل کرتے رہئے ہم اپنا عمل کرنے والے ہیں

— English

And they say, "Our hearts are within coverings from that to which you invite us, and in our ears is deafness, and between us and you is a partition, so work; indeed, we are working."

قُلۡ اِنَّمَاۤ اَنَا بَشَرٌ مِّثۡلُكُمۡ يُوۡحٰٓى اِلَىَّ اَنَّمَاۤ اِلٰهُكُمۡ اِلٰـهٌ وَّاحِدٌ فَاسۡتَقِيۡمُوۡۤا اِلَيۡهِ وَاسۡتَغۡفِرُوۡهُ‌ؕ وَوَيۡلٌ لِّلۡمُشۡرِكِيۡنَۙ‏ 

— Transliteration

Qul innama ana basharunmithlukum yooha ilayya annama ilahukum ilahunwahidun fastaqeemoo ilayhi wastaghfiroohuwawaylun lilmushrikeen

so take a Straight Path

تو سیدھے چلو

to Him

اس کی طرف

wa-is'taghfirūhu

and ask His forgiveness

اور بخشش مانگو اس سے

wawaylun

And woe

اور ہلاکت ہے

lil'mush'rikīna

to the polytheists

مشرکوں کے لیے

Urdu —

(اِن کے پردے ہٹانے اور سننے پر آمادہ کرنے کے لئے) فرما دیجئے: (اے کافرو!) بس میں ظاہراً آدمی ہونے میں تو تم ہی جیسا ہوں (پھر مجھ سے اور میری دعوت سے اس قدر کیوں گریزاں ہو) میری طرف یہ وحی بھیجی گئی ہے کہ تمہارا معبود فقط معبودِ یکتا ہے، پس تم اسی کی طرف سیدھے متوجہ رہو اور اس سے مغفرت چاہو، اور مشرکوں کے لئے ہلاکت ہے

— English

Say, O [Muhammad], "I am only a man like you to whom it has been revealed that your god is but one God; so take a straight course to Him and seek His forgiveness." And woe to those who associate others with Allah -

ذٰلِكَ الَّذِىۡ يُبَشِّرُ اللّٰهُ عِبَادَهُ الَّذِيۡنَ اٰمَنُوۡا وَعَمِلُوۡا الصّٰلِحٰتِ‌ؕ قُل لَّاۤ اَسۡـٔـَلُكُمۡ عَلَيۡهِ اَجۡرًا اِلَّا الۡمَوَدَّةَ فِىۡ الۡقُرۡبٰى‌ؕ وَمَنۡ يَّقۡتَرِفۡ حَسَنَةً نَّزِدۡ لَهٗ فِيۡهَا حُسۡنًا‌ؕ اِنَّ اللّٰهَ غَفُوۡرٌ شَكُوۡرٌ‏ 

— Transliteration

Thalika allathee yubashshiruAllahu AAibadahu allatheena amanoowaAAamiloo assalihati qul laas-alukum AAalayhi ajran illa almawaddata fee alqurbawaman yaqtarif hasanatan nazid lahu feeha husnaninna Allaha ghafoorun shakoor

We increase

ہم اضافہ کردیں گے

اس میں

good

خوبی

inna

Indeed,

بیشک

l-laha

Allah

اللہ تعالیٰ

ghafūrun

(is) Oft-Forgiving

بخشش فرمانے والا ہے،

shakūrun

All-Appreciative

قدردان ہے

Urdu —

یہ وہ (انعام) ہے جس کی خوشخبری اللہ ایسے بندوں کو سناتا ہے جو ایمان لائے اور نیک اعمال کرتے رہے، فرما دیجئے: میں اِس (تبلیغِ رسالت) پر تم سے کوئی اُجرت نہیں مانگتا مگر (اپنی اور اللہ کی) قرابت و قربت سے محبت (چاہتا ہوں) اور جو شخص نیکی کمائے گا ہم اس کے لئے اس میں اُخروی ثواب اور بڑھا دیں گے۔ بیشک اللہ بڑا بخشنے والا قدر دان ہے

— English

It is that of which Allah gives good tidings to His servants who believe and do righteous deeds. Say, [O Muhammad], "I do not ask you for this message any payment [but] only good will through kinship." And whoever commits a good deed - We will increase for him good therein. Indeed, Allah is Forgiving and Appreciative.

— Transliteration

Wa-itha bushshira ahaduhum bimadaraba lirrahmani mathalan thallawajhuhu muswaddan wahuwa katheem

(is) filled with grief

غم کے گھونٹ پینے والا ہوتا

Urdu —

حالانکہ جب ان میں سے کسی کو اُس (کے گھر میں بیٹی کی پیدائش) کی خبر دی جاتی ہے جسے انہوں نے (خدائے) رحمان کی شبیہ بنا رکھا ہے تو اس کا چہرہ سیاہ ہو جاتا ہے اور غم و غصّہ سے بھر جاتا ہے

— English

And when one of them is given good tidings of that which he attributes to the Most Merciful in comparison, his face becomes dark, and he suppresses grief.

— Transliteration

Wasakhkhara lakum ma fee assamawatiwama fee al-ardi jameeAAan minhu inna fee thalikalaayatin liqawmin yatafakkaroon

جو غور و فکر کرتی ہو

Urdu —

اور اُس نے تمہارے لئے جو کچھ آسمانوں میں ہے اور جو کچھ زمین میں ہے، سب کو اپنی طرف سے (نظام کے تحت) مسخر کر دیا ہے، بیشک اس میں اُن لوگوں کے لئے نشانیاں ہیں جو غور و فکر کرتے ہیں

— English

And He has subjected to you whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth - all from Him. Indeed in that are signs for a people who give thought.

قُل لِّلَّذِيۡنَ اٰمَنُوۡا يَغۡفِرُوۡا لِلَّذِيۡنَ لَا يَرۡجُوۡنَ اَيَّامَ اللّٰهِ لِيَجۡزِىَ قَوۡمًۢا بِمَا كَانُوۡا يَكۡسِبُوۡنَ‏ 

— Transliteration

Qul lillatheena amanooyaghfiroo lillatheena la yarjoona ayyama Allahiliyajziya qawman bima kanoo yaksiboon

آپ ایمان والوں سے فرما دیجئے کہ وہ اُن لوگوں کو نظر انداز کر دیں جو اللہ کے دنوں کی (آمد کی) امید اور خوف نہیں رکھتے تاکہ وہ اُن لوگوں کو اُن (کے اعمال) کا پورا بدلہ دے دے جو وہ کمایا کرتے تھے

— English

Say, [O Muhammad], to those who have believed that they [should] forgive those who expect not the days of Allah so that He may recompense a people for what they used to earn.

— Transliteration

Wamin qablihi kitabu moosa imamanwarahmatan wahatha kitabun musaddiqunlisanan AAarabiyyan liyunthira allatheena thalamoowabushra lilmuhsineen

and (as) glad tidings

for the good-doers

نیکو کاروں کے لیے

Urdu —

اور اس سے پہلے موسٰی (علیہ السلام) کی کتاب (تورات) پیشوا اور رحمت تھی، اور یہ کتاب (اس کی) تصدیق کرنے والی ہے، عربی زبان میں ہے تاکہ ان لوگوں کو ڈرائے جنہوں نے ظلم کیا ہے اور نیکوکاروں کے لئے خوشخبری ہوo

— English

And before it was the scripture of Moses to lead and as a mercy. And this is a confirming Book in an Arabic tongue to warn those who have wronged and as good tidings to the doers of good.

— Transliteration

Walanabluwannakum hattanaAAlama almujahideena minkum wassabireenawanabluwa akhbarakum

And surely We will test you

اور البتہ ہم ضرور آزمائیں گے تم کو

We make evident

اور ہم ضرور تمہاری آزمائش کریں گے یہاں تک کہ تم میں سے (ثابت قدمی کے ساتھ) جہاد کرنے والوں اور صبر کرنے والوں کو (بھی) ظاہر کر دیں اور تمہاری (منافقانہ بزدلی کی مخفی) خبریں (بھی) ظاہر کر دیںo

— English

And We will surely test you until We make evident those who strive among you [for the cause of Allah] and the patient, and We will test your affairs.

Indeed, We have sent you as a witness and a bringer of good tidings and a warner

يٰۤاَيُّهَا الَّذِيۡنَ اٰمَنُوۡۤا اِنۡ جَآءَكُمۡ فَاسِقٌ ۢ بِنَبَاٍ فَتَبَيَّنُوۡۤا اَنۡ تُصِيۡبُوۡا قَوۡمًا ۢ بِجَهَالَةٍ فَتُصۡبِحُوۡا عَلٰى مَا فَعَلۡتُمۡ نٰدِمِيۡنَ‏ 

— Transliteration

Ya ayyuha allatheena amanooin jaakum fasiqun binaba-in fatabayyanoo an tuseebooqawman bijahalatin fatusbihoo AAala mafaAAaltum nadimeen

in ignorance

then you become

پھر تم ہوجاؤ

you have done

تم نے کیا

nādimīna

regretful

نادم ہونے والے

Urdu —

اے ایمان والو! اگر تمہارے پاس کوئی فاسق (شخص) کوئی خبر لائے تو خوب تحقیق کر لیا کرو (ایسا نہ ہو) کہ تم کسی قوم کو لاعلمی میں (ناحق) تکلیف پہنچا بیٹھو، پھر تم اپنے کئے پر پچھتاتے رہ جاؤo

— English

O you who have believed, if there comes to you a disobedient one with information, investigate, lest you harm a people out of ignorance and become, over what you have done, regretful.

فَاَوۡجَسَ مِنۡهُمۡ خِيۡفَةً ‌ؕ قَالُوۡا لَا تَخَفۡ‌ ؕ وَبَشَّرُوۡهُ بِغُلٰمٍ عَلِيۡمٍ‏ 

— Transliteration

Faawjasa minhum kheefatan qaloo latakhaf wabashsharoohu bighulamin AAaleem

پھر اُن (کے نہ کھانے) سے دل میں ہلکی سے گھبراہٹ محسوس کی۔ وہ (فرشتے) کہنے لگے: آپ گھبرائیے نہیں، اور اُن کو علم و دانش والے بیٹے (اسحاق علیہ السلام) کی خوشخبری سنا دیo

And he felt from them apprehension. They said, "Fear not," and gave him good tidings of a learned boy.

Al-QamarThe Moon054surahچاند

وَلَقَدۡ جَآءَهُمۡ مِّنَ الۡاَنۡۢبَآءِ مَا فِيۡهِ مُزۡدَجَرٌۙ‏ 

Walaqad jaahum mina al-anba-i mafeehi muzdajar

يَوۡمَ تَرَى الۡمُؤۡمِنِيۡنَ وَالۡمُؤۡمِنٰتِ يَسۡعٰى نُوۡرُهُمۡ بَيۡنَ اَيۡدِيۡهِمۡ وَبِاَيۡمَانِهِمۡ بُشۡرٰٮكُمُ الۡيَوۡمَ جَنّٰتٌ تَجۡرِىۡ مِنۡ تَحۡتِهَا الۡاَنۡهٰرُ خٰلِدِيۡنَ فِيۡهَا‌ؕ ذٰلِكَ هُوَ الۡفَوۡزُ الۡعَظِيۡمُ‌ۚ‏ 

— Transliteration

Yawma tara almu/mineena walmu/minatiyasAAa nooruhum bayna aydeehim wabi-aymanihim bushrakumualyawma jannatun tajree min tahtiha al-anharukhalideena feeha thalika huwa alfawzu alAAatheem

کامیابی ہے

l-ʿaẓīmu

the great

بڑی

Urdu —

(اے حبیب!) جس دن آپ (اپنی امّت کے) مومن مَردوں اور مومن عورتوں کو دیکھیں گے کہ اُن کا نور اُن کے آگے اور اُن کی دائیں جانب تیزی سے چل رہا ہوگا (اور اُن سے کہا جائے گا:) تمہیں بشارت ہو آج (تمہارے لئے) جنتیں ہیں جن کے نیچے سے نہریں رواں ہیں (تم) ہمیشہ ان میں رہو گے، یہی بہت بڑی کامیابی ہےo

— English

On the Day you see the believing men and believing women, their light proceeding before them and on their right, [it will be said], "Your good tidings today are [of] gardens beneath which rivers flow, wherein you will abide eternally." That is what is the great attainment.

وَاِذۡ قَالَ عِيۡسَى ابۡنُ مَرۡيَمَ يٰبَنِىۡۤ اِسۡرآءِيۡلَ اِنِّىۡ رَسُوۡلُ اللّٰهِ اِلَيۡكُمۡ مُّصَدِّقًا لِّمَا بَيۡنَ يَدَىَّ مِنَ التَّوۡرٰٮةِ وَمُبَشِّرًۢا بِرَسُوۡلٍ يَّاۡتِىۡ مِنۡۢ بَعۡدِىۡ اسۡمُهٗۤ اَحۡمَدُ‌ؕ فَلَمَّا جَآءَهُمۡ بِالۡبَيِّنٰتِ قَالُوۡا هٰذَا سِحۡرٌ مُّبِيۡنٌ‏ 

— Transliteration

Wa-ith qala AAeesa ibnumaryama ya banee isra-eela innee rasoolu Allahiilaykum musaddiqan lima bayna yadayya mina attawratiwamubashshiran birasoolin ya/tee min baAAdee ismuhu ahmadufalamma jaahum bilbayyinati qaloohatha sihrun mubeen

اور (وہ وقت بھی یاد کیجئے) جب عیسٰی بن مریم (علیہما السلام) نے کہا: اے بنی اسرائیل! بیشک میں تمہاری طرف اللہ کا بھیجا ہوا (رسول) ہوں، اپنے سے پہلی کتاب تورات کی تصدیق کرنے والا ہوں اور اُس رسولِ (معظّم صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کی آمد آمد) کی بشارت سنانے والا ہوں جو میرے بعد تشریف لا رہے ہیں جن کا نام (آسمانوں میں اس وقت) احمد (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) ہے، پھر جب وہ (رسولِ آخر الزماں صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) واضح نشانیاں لے کر اُن کے پاس تشریف لے آئے تو وہ کہنے لگے: یہ تو کھلا جادو ہےo

And [mention] when Jesus, the son of Mary, said, "O children of Israel, indeed I am the messenger of Allah to you confirming what came before me of the Torah and bringing good tidings of a messenger to come after me, whose name is Ahmad." But when he came to them with clear evidences, they said, "This is obvious magic."

اور (اس اُخروی نعمت کے علاوہ) ایک دوسری (دنیوی نعمت بھی عطا فرمائے گا) جسے تم بہت چاہتے ہو، (وہ) اللہ کی جانب سے مدد اور جلد ملنے والی فتح ہے، اور (اے نبئ مکرّم!) آپ مومنوں کو خوشخبری سنا دیں (یہ فتحِ مکہ اور فارس و روم کی فتوحات کی شکل میں ظاہر ہوئی)o

And [you will obtain] another [favor] that you love - victory from Allah and an imminent conquest; and give good tidings to the believers.
