Fighting has been enjoined upon you while it is hateful to you. But perhaps you hate a thing and it is good for you; and perhaps you love a thing and it is bad for you. And Allah Knows, while you know not.

Illa tansuroohu faqad nasarahuAllahu ith akhrajahu allatheena kafaroo thaniyaithnayni ith huma fee alghari ithyaqoolu lisahibihi la tahzan inna AllahamaAAana faanzala Allahu sakeenatahu AAalayhiwaayyadahu bijunoodin lam tarawha wajaAAala kalimata allatheenakafaroo assufla wakalimatu Allahi hiyaalAAulya wallahu AAazeezun hakeem

اگر تم ان کی (یعنی رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کی غلبۂ اسلام کی جد و جہد میں) مدد نہ کرو گے (تو کیا ہوا) سو بیشک اللہ نے ان کو (اس وقت بھی) مدد سے نوازا تھا جب کافروں نے انہیں (وطنِ مکہ سے) نکال دیا تھا درآنحالیکہ وہ دو (ہجرت کرنے والوں) میں سے دوسرے تھے جبکہ دونوں (رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم اور ابوبکر صدیق رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ) غارِ (ثور) میں تھے جب وہ اپنے ساتھی (ابوبکر صدیق رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ) سے فرما رہے تھے: غمزدہ نہ ہو بیشک اللہ ہمارے ساتھ ہے، پس اللہ نے ان پر اپنی تسکین نازل فرما دی اور انہیں (فرشتوں کے) ایسے لشکروں کے ذریعہ قوت بخشی جنہیں تم نہ دیکھ سکے اور اس نے کافروں کی بات کو پست و فروتر کر دیا، اور اللہ کا فرمان تو (ہمیشہ) بلند و بالا ہی ہے، اور اللہ غالب، حکمت والا ہے

If you do not aid the Prophet - Allah has already aided him when those who disbelieved had driven him out [of Makkah] as one of two, when they were in the cave and he said to his companion, "Do not grieve; indeed Allah is with us." And Allah sent down his tranquillity upon him and supported him with angels you did not see and made the word of those who disbelieved the lowest, while the word of Allah - that is the highest. And Allah is Exalted in Might and Wise.

Say, "O My servants who have transgressed against themselves [by sinning], do not despair of the mercy of Allah. Indeed, Allah forgives all sins. Indeed, it is He who is the Forgiving, the Merciful."

— Transliteration
Fasbir kama sabaraoloo alAAazmi mina arrusuli wala tastaAAjil lahumkaannahum yawma yarawna ma yooAAadoona lam yalbathoo illasaAAatan min naharin balaghun fahal yuhlakuilla alqawmu alfasiqoon

(اے حبیب!) پس آپ صبر کئے جائیں جس طرح (دوسرے) عالی ہمّت پیغمبروں نے صبر کیا تھا اور آپ ان (منکروں) کے لئے (طلبِ عذاب میں) جلدی نہ فرمائیں، جس دن وہ اس (عذابِ آخرت) کو دیکھیں گے جس کا ان سے وعدہ کیا جا رہا ہے تو (خیال کریں گے) گویا وہ (دنیا میں) دن کی ایک گھڑی کے سوا ٹھہرے ہی نہیں تھے، (یہ اﷲ کی طرف سے) پیغام کا پہنچایا جانا ہے، نافرمان قوم کے سوا دیگر لوگ ہلاک نہیں کئے جائیں گےo
— English
So be patient, [O Muhammad], as were those of determination among the messengers and do not be impatient for them. It will be - on the Day they see that which they are promised - as though they had not remained [in the world] except an hour of a day. [This is] notification. And will [any] be destroyed except the defiantly disobedient people?

وہی ہے جِس نے آسمانوں اور زمین کو چھ اَدوار میں پیدا فرمایا پھر کائنات کی مسندِ اقتدار پر جلوہ افروز ہوا (یعنی پوری کائنات کو اپنے امر کے ساتھ منظم فرمایا)، وہ جانتا ہے جو کچھ زمین میں داخل ہوتا ہے اور جو کچھ اس میں سے خارج ہوتا ہے اور جو کچھ آسمانی کرّوں سے اترتا (یا نکلتا) ہے یا جو کچھ ان میں چڑھتا (یا داخل ہوتا) ہے۔ وہ تمہارے ساتھ ہوتا ہے تم جہاں کہیں بھی ہو، اور اللہ جو کچھ تم کرتے ہو (اسے) خوب دیکھنے والا ہےo

It is He who created the heavens and earth in six days and then established Himself above the Throne. He knows what penetrates into the earth and what emerges from it and what descends from the heaven and what ascends therein; and He is with you wherever you are. And Allah, of what you do, is Seeing.

— Transliteration
Ya ayyuha annabiyyu ithatallaqtumu annisaa fatalliqoohunnaliAAiddatihinna waahsoo alAAiddata wattaqoo Allaharabbakum la tukhrijoohunna min buyootihinna walayakhrujna illa an ya/teena bifahishatinmubayyinatin watilka hudoodu Allahi wamanyataAAadda hudooda Allahi faqad thalamanafsahu la tadree laAAalla Allaha yuhdithubaAAda thalika amra

اے نبی! (مسلمانوں سے فرما دیں:) جب تم عورتوں کو طلاق دینا چاہو تو اُن کے طُہر کے زمانہ میں انہیں طلاق دو اور عِدّت کو شمار کرو، اور اللہ سے ڈرتے رہو جو تمہارا رب ہے، اور انہیں اُن کے گھروں سے باہر مت نکالو اور نہ وہ خود باہر نکلیں سوائے اس کے کہ وہ کھلی بے حیائی کر بیٹھیں، اور یہ اللہ کی (مقررّہ) حدیں ہیں، اور جو شخص اللہ کی حدود سے تجاوز کرے تو بیشک اُس نے اپنی جان پر ظلم کیا ہے، (اے شخص!) تو نہیں جانتا شاید اللہ اِس کے (طلاق دینے کے) بعد (رجوع کی) کوئی نئی صورت پیدا فرما دےo

O Prophet, when you [Muslims] divorce women, divorce them for [the commencement of] their waiting period and keep count of the waiting period, and fear Allah, your Lord. Do not turn them out of their [husbands'] houses, nor should they [themselves] leave [during that period] unless they are committing a clear immorality. And those are the limits [set by] Allah. And whoever transgresses the limits of Allah has certainly wronged himself. You know not; perhaps Allah will bring about after that a [different] matter.

Wayarzuqhu min haythu la yahtasibuwaman yatawakkal AAala Allahi fahuwa hasbuhuinna Allaha balighu amrihi qad jaAAala Allahulikulli shay-in qadra

اور اسے ایسی جگہ سے رِزق عطا فرماتا ہے جہاں سے اس کا گمان بھی نہیں ہوتا، اور جو شخص اللہ پر توکل کرتا ہے تو وہ (اللہ) اسے کافی ہے، بیشک اللہ اپنا کام پورا کرلینے والا ہے، بیشک اللہ نے ہر شے کے لئے اندازہ مقرر فرما رکھا ہےo

And will provide for him from where he does not expect. And whoever relies upon Allah - then He is sufficient for him. Indeed, Allah will accomplish His purpose. Allah has already set for everything a [decreed] extent.
وَالّٰٓـىٴِۡ يَٮِٕسۡنَ مِنَ الۡمَحِيۡضِ مِنۡ نِّسَآٮِٕكُمۡ اِنِ ارۡتَبۡتُمۡ فَعِدَّتُهُنَّ ثَلٰثَةُ اَشۡهُرٍ وَّالّٰٓـىٴِۡ لَمۡ يَحِضۡنَؕ وَاُولَاتُ الۡاَحۡمَالِ اَجَلُهُنَّ اَنۡ يَّضَعۡنَ حَمۡلَهُنَّؕ وَمَنۡ يَّتَّقِ اللّٰهَ يَجۡعَل لَّهٗ مِنۡ اَمۡرِهٖ یُسْرًا
— Transliteration
Walla-ee ya-isna mina almaheedimin nisa-ikum ini irtabtum faAAiddatuhunna thalathatuashhurin walla-ee lam yahidna waolatual-ahmali ajaluhunna an yadaAAna hamlahunnawaman yattaqi Allaha yajAAal lahu min amrihi yusra

اور تمہاری عورتوں میں سے جو حیض سے مایوس ہو چکی ہوں اگر تمہیں شک ہو (کہ اُن کی عدّت کیا ہوگی) تو اُن کی عدّت تین مہینے ہے اور وہ عورتیں جنہیں (ابھی) حیض نہیں آیا (ان کی بھی یہی عدّت ہے)، اور حاملہ عورتیں (تو) اُن کی عدّت اُن کا وضعِ حمل ہے، اور جو شخص اللہ سے ڈرتا ہے (تو) وہ اس کے کام میں آسانی فرما دیتا ہےo

And those who no longer expect menstruation among your women - if you doubt, then their period is three months, and [also for] those who have not menstruated. And for those who are pregnant, their term is until they give birth. And whoever fears Allah - He will make for him of his matter ease.

Liyunfiq thoo saAAatin min saAAatihiwaman qudira AAalayhi rizquhu falyunfiq mimma atahuAllahu la yukallifu Allahu nafsan illama ataha sayajAAalu AllahubaAAda AAusrin yusra

صاحبِ وسعت کو اپنی وسعت (کے لحاظ) سے خرچ کرنا چاہئے، اور جس شخص پر اُس کا رِزق تنگ کر دیا گیا ہو تو وہ اُسی (روزی) میں سے (بطورِ نفقہ) خرچ کرے جو اُسے اللہ نے عطا فرمائی ہے۔ اللہ کسی شخص کو مکلّف نہیں ٹھہراتا مگر اسی قدر جتنا کہ اُس نے اسے عطا فرما رکھا ہے، اللہ عنقریب تنگی کے بعد کشائش پیدا فرما دے گاo

Let a man of wealth spend from his wealth, and he whose provision is restricted - let him spend from what Allah has given him. Allah does not charge a soul except [according to] what He has given it. Allah will bring about, after hardship, ease.

آپ کے رب نے (جب سے آپ کو منتخب فرمایا ہے) آپ کو نہیں چھوڑا اور نہ ہی (جب سے آپ کو محبوب بنایا ہے) ناراض ہوا ہےo

Your Lord has not taken leave of you, [O Muhammad], nor has He detested [you].
وَلَـلۡاٰخِرَةُ خَيۡرٌ لَّكَ مِنَ الۡاُوۡلٰىؕ
— Transliteration
Walal-akhiratu khayrun laka minaal-oola

اور بیشک (ہر) بعد کی گھڑی آپ کے لئے پہلے سے بہتر (یعنی باعثِ عظمت و رفعت) ہےo

And the Hereafter is better for you than the first [life].
وَلَسَوۡفَ يُعۡطِيۡكَ رَبُّكَ فَتَرۡضٰىؕ

Walasawfa yuAAteeka rabbuka fatarda

اور آپ کا رب عنقریب آپ کو (اتنا کچھ) عطا فرمائے گا کہ آپ راضی ہو جائیں گےo

And your Lord is going to give you, and you will be satisfied.
اَلَمۡ يَجِدۡكَ يَتِيۡمًا فَاٰوٰى

Alam yajidka yateeman faawa

(اے حبیب!) کیا اس نے آپ کو یتیم نہیں پایا پھر اس نے (آپ کو معزّز و مکرّم) ٹھکانا دیا۔ یا- کیا اس نے آپ کو (مہربان) نہیں پایا پھر اس نے (آپ کے ذریعے) یتیموں کو ٹھکانا دیا)٭o

Did He not find you an orphan and give [you] refuge?
وَوَجَدَكَ ضَآلاًّ فَهَدٰى
— Transliteration
Wawajadaka dallan fahada

اور اس نے آپ کو اپنی محبت میں خود رفتہ و گم پایا تو اس نے مقصود تک پہنچا دیا۔ یا- اور اس نے آپ کو بھٹکی ہوئی قوم کے درمیان (رہنمائی فرمانے والا) پایا تو اس نے (انہیں آپ کے ذریعے) ہدایت دے دی۔٭o

And He found you lost and guided [you],
وَوَجَدَكَ عَآٮِٕلاً فَاَغۡنٰىؕ
— Transliteration
Wawajadaka AAa-ilan faaghna

اور اس نے آپ کو (وصالِ حق کا) حاجت مند پایا تو اس نے (اپنی لذتِ دید سے نواز کر ہمیشہ کے لئے ہر طلب سے) بے نیاز کر دیا۔

And He found you poor and made [you] self-sufficient.
فَاَمَّا الۡيَتِيۡمَ فَلَا تَقۡهَرۡؕ
— Transliteration
Faamma alyateema fala taqhar

So as for the orphan, do not oppress [him].
وَاَمَّا السَّآٮِٕلَ فَلَا تَنۡهَرۡؕ

And as for the petitioner, do not repel [him].
