Qul lillatheena kafaroo in yantahooyughfar lahum ma qad salafa wa-in yaAAoodoo faqad madatsunnatu al-awwaleen

آپ کفر کرنے والوں سے فرما دیں: اگر وہ (اپنے کافرانہ اَفعال سے) باز آجائیں تو ان کے وہ (گناہ) بخش دیئے جائیں گے جو پہلے گزر چکے ہیں، اور اگر وہ پھر وہی کچھ کریں گے تو یقیناً اگلوں (کے عذاب در عذاب) کا طریقہ گزر چکا ہے (ان کے ساتھ بھی وہی کچھ ہوگا)

Say to those who have disbelieved [that] if they cease, what has previously occurred will be forgiven for them. But if they return [to hostility] - then the precedent of the former [rebellious] peoples has already taken place.

And nothing has prevented the people from believing when guidance came to them and from asking forgiveness of their Lord except that there [must] befall them the [accustomed] precedent of the former peoples or that the punishment should come [directly] before them.

There is not to be upon the Prophet any discomfort concerning that which Allah has imposed upon him. [This is] the established way of Allah with those [prophets] who have passed on before. And ever is the command of Allah a destiny decreed.
