ظَهَرَ الۡفَسَادُ فِىۡ الۡبَرِّ وَالۡبَحۡرِ بِمَا كَسَبَتۡ اَيۡدِىۡ النَّاسِ لِيُذِيۡقَهُمۡ بَعۡضَ الَّذِىۡ عَمِلُوۡا لَعَلَّهُمۡ يَرۡجِعُوۡنَ‏ 

Thahara alfasadu feealbarri walbahri bima kasabat aydee annasiliyutheeqahum baAAda allathee AAamiloolaAAallahum yarjiAAoon

بحر و بر میں فساد ان (گناہوں) کے باعث پھیل گیا ہے جو لوگوں کے ہاتھوں نے کما رکھے ہیں تاکہ (اﷲ) انہیں بعض (برے) اعمال کا مزہ چکھا دے جو انہوں نے کئے ہیں، تاکہ وہ باز آجائیں

Corruption has appeared throughout the land and sea by [reason of] what the hands of people have earned so He may let them taste part of [the consequence of] what they have done that perhaps they will return [to righteousness].
