وَاِذِ اسۡتَسۡقَىٰ مُوۡسٰى لِقَوۡمِهٖ فَقُلۡنَا اضۡرِب بِّعَصَاكَ الۡحَجَرَؕ فَانفَجَرَتۡ مِنۡهُ اثۡنَتَا عَشۡرَةَ عَيۡنًاؕ قَدۡ عَلِمَ کُلُّ اُنَاسٍ مَّشۡرَبَهُمۡؕ کُلُوۡا وَاشۡرَبُوۡا مِنۡ رِّزۡقِ اللّٰهِ وَلَا تَعۡثَوۡا فِىۡ الۡاَرۡضِ مُفۡسِدِيۡنَ
— Transliteration
Wa-ithi istasqa moosaliqawmihi faqulna idrib biAAasaka alhajarafanfajarat minhu ithnata AAashrata AAaynan qadAAalima kullu onasin mashrabahum kuloo washraboomin rizqi Allahi wala taAAthaw fee al-ardimufsideen

اور (وہ وقت بھی یا دکرو) جب موسیٰ (علیہ السلام) نے اپنی قوم کے لئے پانی مانگا تو ہم نے فرمایا: اپنا عصا اس پتھر پر مارو، پھر اس (پتھر) سے بارہ چشمے پھوٹ پڑے، واقعۃً ہر گروہ نے اپنا اپنا گھاٹ پہچان لیا، (ہم نے فرمایا:) اﷲ کے (عطا کردہ) رزق میں سے کھاؤ اور پیو لیکن زمین میں فساد انگیزی نہ کرتے پھرو

And [recall] when Moses prayed for water for his people, so We said, "Strike with your staff the stone." And there gushed forth from it twelve springs, and every people knew its watering place. "Eat and drink from the provision of Allah, and do not commit abuse on the earth, spreading corruption."

ثُمَّ قَسَتۡ قُلُوۡبُكُمۡ مِّنۡۢ بَعۡدِ ذٰلِكَ فَهِىَ كَالۡحِجَارَةِ اَوۡ اَشَدُّ قَسۡوَةً ؕ وَاِنَّ مِنَ الۡحِجَارَةِ لَمَا يَتَفَجَّرُ مِنۡهُ الۡاَنۡهٰرُؕ وَاِنَّ مِنۡهَا لَمَا يَشَّقَّقُ فَيَخۡرُجُ مِنۡهُ الۡمَآءُؕ وَاِنَّ مِنۡهَا لَمَا يَهۡبِطُ مِنۡ خَشۡيَةِ اللّٰهِؕ وَمَا اللّٰهُ بِغَافِلٍ عَمَّا تَعۡمَلُوۡنَ
— Transliteration
Thumma qasat quloobukum min baAAdi thalikafahiya kalhijarati aw ashaddu qaswatanwa-inna mina alhijarati lama yatafajjaruminhu al-anharu wa-inna minha lamayashshaqqaqu fayakhruju minhu almao wa-inna minhalama yahbitu min khashyati Allahi wamaAllahu bighafilin AAamma taAAmaloon

پھر اس کے بعد (بھی) تمہارے دل سخت ہوگئے چنانچہ وہ (سختی میں) پتھروں جیسے (ہوگئے) ہیں یا ان سے بھی زیادہ سخت (ہو چکے ہیں، اس لئے کہ) بیشک پتھروں میں (تو) بعض ایسے بھی ہیں جن سے نہریں پھوٹ نکلتی ہیں، اور یقیناً ان میں سے بعض وہ (پتھر) بھی ہیں جو پھٹ جاتے ہیں تو ان سے پانی ابل پڑتا ہے، اور بیشک ان میں سے بعض ایسے بھی ہیں جو اللہ کے خوف سے گر پڑتے ہیں، (افسوس! تمہارے دلوں میں اس قدر نرمی، خستگی اور شکستگی بھی نہیں رہی،) اور اللہ تمہارے کاموں سے بے خبر نہیں

Then your hearts became hardened after that, being like stones or even harder. For indeed, there are stones from which rivers burst forth, and there are some of them that split open and water comes out, and there are some of them that fall down for fear of Allah. And Allah is not unaware of what you do.

— Transliteration
Awa lam yaraw anna Allaha allatheekhalaqa assamawati wal-ardaqadirun AAala an yakhluqa mithlahum wajaAAala lahumajalan la rayba feehi faaba aththalimoonailla kufoora

کیا انہوں نے نہیں دیکھا کہ جس اﷲ نے آسمانوں اور زمین کو پیدا فرمایا ہے (وہ) اس بات پر (بھی) قادر ہے کہ وہ ان لوگوں کی مثل (دوبارہ) پیدا فرما دے اور اس نے ان کے لئے ایک وقت مقرر فرما دیا ہے جس میں کوئی شک نہیں، پھر بھی ظالموں نے انکار کردیا ہے مگر (یہ) ناشکری ہے

Do they not see that Allah, who created the heavens and earth, is [the one] Able to create the likes of them? And He has appointed for them a term, about which there is no doubt. But the wrongdoers refuse [anything] except disbelief.
قُل لَّوۡ اَنۡتُمۡ تَمۡلِكُوۡنَ خَزَآٮِٕنَ رَحۡمَةِ رَبِّىۡۤ اِذًا لَّاَمۡسَكۡتُمۡ خَشۡيَةَ الۡاِنۡفَاقِؕ وَكَانَ الۡاِنۡسَانُ قَتُوۡرًا

Qul law antum tamlikoona khaza-inarahmati rabbee ithan laamsaktum khashyata al-infaqiwakana al-insanu qatoora

He said, "Did you see when we retired to the rock? Indeed, I forgot [there] the fish. And none made me forget it except Satan - that I should mention it. And it took its course into the sea amazingly".

Ya bunayya innaha in takumithqala habbatin min khardalin fatakun fee sakhratinaw fee assamawati aw fee al-ardiya/ti biha Allahu inna Allaha lateefunkhabeer

(لقمان نے کہا:) اے میرے فرزند! اگر کوئی چیز رائی کے دانہ کے برابر ہو، پھر خواہ وہ کسی چٹان میں (چھُپی) ہو یا آسمانوں میں یا زمین میں (تب بھی) اﷲ اسے (روزِ قیامت حساب کے لئے) موجود کر دے گا۔ بیشک اﷲ باریک بین (بھی) ہے آگاہ و خبردار (بھی) ہے

[And Luqman said], "O my son, indeed if wrong should be the weight of a mustard seed and should be within a rock or [anywhere] in the heavens or in the earth, Allah will bring it forth. Indeed, Allah is Subtle and Acquainted.
