Inna fee khalqi assamawatiwal-ardi wakhtilafi allayli wannahariwalfulki allatee tajree fee albahri bimayanfaAAu annasa wama anzala Allahumina assama-i min ma-in faahyabihi al-arda baAAda mawtiha wabaththa feehamin kulli dabbatin watasreefi arriyahiwassahabi almusakhkhari bayna assama-iwal-ardi laayatin liqawminyaAAqiloon

بیشک آسمانوں اور زمین کی تخلیق میں اور رات دن کی گردش میں اور ان جہازوں (اور کشتیوں) میں جو سمندر میں لوگوں کو نفع پہنچانے والی چیزیں اٹھا کر چلتی ہیں اور اس (بارش) کے پانی میں جسے اﷲ آسمان کی طرف سے اتارتا ہے پھر اس کے ذریعے زمین کو مُردہ ہو جانے کے بعد زندہ کرتا ہے (وہ زمین) جس میں اس نے ہر قسم کے جانور پھیلا دیئے ہیں اور ہواؤں کے رُخ بدلنے میں اور اس بادل میں جو آسمان اور زمین کے درمیان (حکمِ الٰہی کا) پابند (ہو کر چلتا) ہے (ان میں) عقلمندوں کے لئے (قدرتِ الٰہی کی بہت سی) نشانیاں ہیں

Indeed, in the creation of the heavens and earth, and the alternation of the night and the day, and the [great] ships which sail through the sea with that which benefits people, and what Allah has sent down from the heavens of rain, giving life thereby to the earth after its lifelessness and dispersing therein every [kind of] moving creature, and [His] directing of the winds and the clouds controlled between the heaven and the earth are signs for a people who use reason.

Huwa allathee yusayyirukum feealbarri walbahri hatta ithakuntum fee alfulki wajarayna bihim bireehin tayyibatinwafarihoo biha jaat-ha reehunAAasifun wajaahumu almawju min kulli makaninwathannoo annahum oheeta bihimdaAAawoo Allaha mukhliseena lahu addeenala-in anjaytana min hathihi lanakoonanna mina ashshakireen

وہی ہے جو تمہیں خشک زمین اور سمندر میں چلنے پھرنے (کی توفیق) دیتا ہے، یہاں تک کہ جب تم کشتیوں میں (سوار) ہوتے ہو اور وہ (کشتیاں) لوگوں کو لے کر موافق ہوا کے جھونکوں سے چلتی ہیں اور وہ اس سے خوش ہوتے ہیں تو (ناگہاں) ان (کشتیوں) کو تیز و تند ہوا کا جھونکا آلیتا ہے اور ہر طرف سے ان (سواروں) کو (جوش مارتی ہوئی) موجیں آگھیرتی ہیں اور وہ سمجھنے لگتے ہیں کہ (اب) وہ ان (لہروں) سے گھر گئے (تو اس وقت) وہ اللہ کو پکارتے ہیں (اس حال میں) کہ اپنے دین کو اسی کے لئے خالص کرنے والے ہیں (اور کہتے ہیں: اے اللہ!) اگر تو نے ہمیں اس (بَلا) سے نجات بخش دی تو ہم ضرور (تیرے) شکر گزار بندوں میں سے ہوجائیں گے

It is He who enables you to travel on land and sea until, when you are in ships and they sail with them by a good wind and they rejoice therein, there comes a storm wind and the waves come upon them from everywhere and they assume that they are surrounded, supplicating Allah, sincere to Him in religion, "If You should save us from this, we will surely be among the thankful."

And it is He who subjected the sea for you to eat from it tender meat and to extract from it ornaments which you wear. And you see the ships plowing through it, and [He subjected it] that you may seek of His bounty; and perhaps you will be grateful.

کیا تم نے نہیں دیکھا کہ اﷲ نے جو کچھ زمین میں ہے تمہارے لئے مسخر فرما دیا ہے اور کشتیوں کو (بھی) جو اس کے اَمر (یعنی قانون) سے سمندر (و دریا) میں چلتی ہیں، اور آسمان (یعنی خلائی و فضائی کرّوں) کو زمین پر گرنے سے (ایک آفاقی نظام کے ذریعہ) تھامے ہوئے ہے مگر اسی کے حکم سے (جب وہ چاہے گا آپس میں ٹکرا جائیں گے)۔ بیشک اﷲ تمام انسانوں کے ساتھ نہایت شفقت فرمانے والا بڑا مہربان ہے

Do you not see that Allah has subjected to you whatever is on the earth and the ships which run through the sea by His command? And He restrains the sky from falling upon the earth, unless by His permission. Indeed Allah, to the people, is Kind and Merciful.

اور دو سمندر (یا دریا) برابر نہیں ہو سکتے، یہ (ایک) شیریں، پیاس بجھانے والا ہے، اس کا پینا خوشگوار ہے اور یہ (دوسرا) کھاری، سخت کڑوا ہے، اور تم ہر ایک سے تازہ گوشت کھاتے ہو، اور زیور (جن میں موتی، مرجان اور مونگے وغیرہ سب شامل ہیں) نکالتے ہو، جنہیں تم پہنتے ہو اور تُو اس میں کشتیوں (اور جہازوں) کو دیکھتا ہے جو (پانی کو) پھاڑتے چلے جاتے ہیں تاکہ تم (بحری تجارت کے راستوں سے) اس کا فضل تلاش کر سکو اور تاکہ تم شکرگزار ہو جاؤ

And not alike are the two bodies of water. One is fresh and sweet, palatable for drinking, and one is salty and bitter. And from each you eat tender meat and extract ornaments which you wear, and you see the ships plowing through [them] that you might seek of His bounty; and perhaps you will be grateful.
