وَقَالَ لَهُمۡ نَبِيُّهُمۡ اِنَّ اٰيَةَ مُلۡکِهٖۤ اَنۡ يَّاۡتِيَکُمُ التَّابُوۡتُ فِيۡهِ سَکِيۡنَةٌ مِّنۡ رَّبِّکُمۡ وَبَقِيَّةٌ مِّمَّا تَرَكَ اٰلُ مُوۡسٰى وَاٰلُ هٰرُوۡنَ تَحۡمِلُهُ الۡمَلٰٓٮِٕكَةُ ؕ اِنَّ فِىۡ ذٰلِكَ لَاٰيَةً لَّـکُمۡ اِنۡ كُنۡتُمۡ مُّؤۡمِنِيۡنَ
— Transliteration
Waqala lahum nabiyyuhum inna ayatamulkihi an ya/tiyakumu attabootu feehi sakeenatunmin rabbikum wabaqiyyatun mimma taraka alu moosawaalu haroona tahmiluhu almala-ikatuinna fee thalika laayatan lakum in kuntum mu/mineen

اور ان کے نبی نے ان سے فرمایا: اس کی سلطنت (کے مِن جانِبِ اﷲ ہونے) کی نشانی یہ ہے کہ تمہارے پاس صندوق آئے گا اس میں تمہارے رب کی طرف سے سکونِ قلب کا سامان ہوگا اور کچھ آلِ موسٰی اور آلِ ہارون کے چھوڑے ہوئے تبرکات ہوں گے اسے فرشتوں نے اٹھایا ہوا ہوگا، اگر تم ایمان والے ہو تو بیشک اس میں تمہارے لئے بڑی نشانی ہے

And their prophet said to them, "Indeed, a sign of his kingship is that the chest will come to you in which is assurance from your Lord and a remnant of what the family of Moses and the family of Aaron had left, carried by the angels. Indeed in that is a sign for you, if you are believers."

— Transliteration
Thumma anzala Allahu sakeenatahu AAalarasoolihi waAAala almu/mineena waanzala junoodan lamtarawha waAAaththaba allatheena kafaroo wathalikajazao alkafireen

پھر اللہ نے اپنے رسول (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) پر اور ایمان والوں پر اپنی تسکین (رحمت) نازل فرمائی اور اس نے (ملائکہ کے ایسے) لشکر اتارے جنہیں تم نہ دیکھ سکے اور اس نے ان لوگوں کو عذاب دیا جو کفر کر رہے تھے، اور یہی کافروں کی سزا ہے

Then Allah sent down His tranquillity upon His Messenger and upon the believers and sent down soldiers angels whom you did not see and punished those who disbelieved. And that is the recompense of the disbelievers.

اِلَّا تَـنۡصُرُوۡهُ فَقَدۡ نَصَرَهُ اللّٰهُ اِذۡ اَخۡرَجَهُ الَّذِيۡنَ كَفَرُوۡا ثَانِىَ اثۡنَيۡنِ اِذۡ هُمَا فِىۡ الۡغَارِ اِذۡ يَقُوۡلُ لِصَاحِبِهٖ لَا تَحۡزَنۡ اِنَّ اللّٰهَ مَعَنَاۚ فَاَنۡزَلَ اللّٰهُ سَكِيۡنَـتَهٗ عَلَيۡهِ وَاَيَّدَهٗ بِجُنُوۡدٍ لَّمۡ تَرَوۡهَا وَجَعَلَ كَلِمَةَ الَّذِيۡنَ كَفَرُوا السُّفۡلٰى ؕ وَكَلِمَةُ اللّٰهِ هِىَ الۡعُلۡيَاؕ وَاللّٰهُ عَزِيۡزٌ حَكِيۡمٌ
— Transliteration
Illa tansuroohu faqad nasarahuAllahu ith akhrajahu allatheena kafaroo thaniyaithnayni ith huma fee alghari ithyaqoolu lisahibihi la tahzan inna AllahamaAAana faanzala Allahu sakeenatahu AAalayhiwaayyadahu bijunoodin lam tarawha wajaAAala kalimata allatheenakafaroo assufla wakalimatu Allahi hiyaalAAulya wallahu AAazeezun hakeem

اگر تم ان کی (یعنی رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کی غلبۂ اسلام کی جد و جہد میں) مدد نہ کرو گے (تو کیا ہوا) سو بیشک اللہ نے ان کو (اس وقت بھی) مدد سے نوازا تھا جب کافروں نے انہیں (وطنِ مکہ سے) نکال دیا تھا درآنحالیکہ وہ دو (ہجرت کرنے والوں) میں سے دوسرے تھے جبکہ دونوں (رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم اور ابوبکر صدیق رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ) غارِ (ثور) میں تھے جب وہ اپنے ساتھی (ابوبکر صدیق رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ) سے فرما رہے تھے: غمزدہ نہ ہو بیشک اللہ ہمارے ساتھ ہے، پس اللہ نے ان پر اپنی تسکین نازل فرما دی اور انہیں (فرشتوں کے) ایسے لشکروں کے ذریعہ قوت بخشی جنہیں تم نہ دیکھ سکے اور اس نے کافروں کی بات کو پست و فروتر کر دیا، اور اللہ کا فرمان تو (ہمیشہ) بلند و بالا ہی ہے، اور اللہ غالب، حکمت والا ہے

If you do not aid the Prophet - Allah has already aided him when those who disbelieved had driven him out [of Makkah] as one of two, when they were in the cave and he said to his companion, "Do not grieve; indeed Allah is with us." And Allah sent down his tranquillity upon him and supported him with angels you did not see and made the word of those who disbelieved the lowest, while the word of Allah - that is the highest. And Allah is Exalted in Might and Wise.

Huwa allathee anzala assakeenatafee quloobi almu/mineena liyazdadoo eemanan maAAaeemanihim walillahi junoodu assamawatiwal-ardi wakana Allahu AAaleeman hakeema

وہی ہے جس نے مومنوں کے دلوں میں تسکین نازل فرمائی تاکہ ان کے ایمان پر مزید ایمان کا اضافہ ہو (یعنی علم الیقین، عین الیقین میں بدل جائے)، اور آسمانوں اور زمین کے سارے لشکر اﷲ ہی کے لئے ہیں، اور اﷲ خوب جاننے والا، بڑی حکمت والا ہےo

It is He who sent down tranquillity into the hearts of the believers that they would increase in faith along with their [present] faith. And to Allah belong the soldiers of the heavens and the earth, and ever is Allah Knowing and Wise.

Laqad radiya Allahu AAanialmu/mineena ith yubayiAAoonaka tahta ashshajaratifaAAalima ma fee quloobihim faanzala asakeenataAAalayhim waathabahum fathan qareeba

بیشک اﷲ مومنوں سے راضی ہو گیا جب وہ (حدیبیہ میں) درخت کے نیچے آپ سے بیعت کر رہے تھے، سو جو (جذبۂ صِدق و وفا) ان کے دلوں میں تھا اﷲ نے معلوم کر لیا تو اﷲ نے ان (کے دلوں) پر خاص تسکین نازل فرمائی اور انہیں ایک بہت ہی قریب فتحِ (خیبر) کا انعام عطا کیاo

Certainly was Allah pleased with the believers when they pledged allegiance to you, [O Muhammad], under the tree, and He knew what was in their hearts, so He sent down tranquillity upon them and rewarded them with an imminent conquest

اِذۡ جَعَلَ الَّذِيۡنَ كَفَرُوۡا فِىۡ قُلُوۡبِهِمُ الۡحَمِيَّةَ حَمِيَّةَ الۡجَـاهِلِيَّةِ فَاَنۡزَلَ اللّٰهُ سَكِيۡنَـتَهٗ عَلٰى رَسُوۡلِهٖ وَعَلَى الۡمُؤۡمِنِيۡنَ وَاَلۡزَمَهُمۡ كَلِمَةَ التَّقۡوٰى وَكَانُوۡۤا اَحَقَّ بِهَا وَاَهۡلَهَاؕ وَكَانَ اللّٰهُ بِكُلِّ شَىۡءٍ عَلِيۡمًا
— Transliteration
Ith jaAAala allatheena kafaroofee quloobihimu alhamiyyata hamiyyata aljahiliyyatifaanzala Allahu sakeenatahu AAala rasoolihi waAAalaalmu/mineena waalzamahum kalimata attaqwa wakanooahaqqa biha waahlaha wakana Allahubikulli shay-in AAaleema

جب کافر لوگوں نے اپنے دلوں میں متکبّرانہ ہٹ دھرمی رکھ لی (جو کہ) جاہلیت کی ضِد اور غیرت (تھی) تو اﷲ نے اپنے رسول (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) اور مومنوں پر اپنی خاص تسکین نازل فرمائی اور انہیں کلمہء تقوٰی پر مستحکم فرما دیا اور وہ اسی کے زیادہ مستحق تھے اور اس کے اہل (بھی) تھے، اور اﷲ ہر چیز کو خوب جاننے والا ہےo

When those who disbelieved had put into their hearts chauvinism - the chauvinism of the time of ignorance. But Allah sent down His tranquillity upon His Messenger and upon the believers and imposed upon them the word of righteousness, and they were more deserving of it and worthy of it. And ever is Allah, of all things, Knowing.
