Waqulna ya adamu oskunanta wazawjuka aljannata wakula minha raghadan haythushi/tuma wala taqraba hathihi ashshajaratafatakoona mina aththalimeen

اور ہم نے حکم دیا: اے آدم! تم اور تمہاری بیوی اس جنت میں رہائش رکھو اور تم دونوں اس میں سے جو چاہو، جہاں سے چاہو کھاؤ، مگر اس درخت کے قریب نہ جانا ورنہ حد سے بڑھنے والوں میں (شامل) ہو جاؤ گے

And We said, "O Adam, dwell, you and your wife, in Paradise and eat therefrom in [ease and] abundance from wherever you will. But do not approach this tree, lest you be among the wrongdoers."

But no, by your Lord, they will not [truly] believe until they make you, [O Muhammad], judge concerning that over which they dispute among themselves and then find within themselves no discomfort from what you have judged and submit in [full, willing] submission.

پھر شیطان نے دونوں کے دل میں وسوسہ ڈالا تاکہ ان کی شرم گاہیں جو ان (کی نظروں) سے پوشیدہ تھیں ان پر ظاہر کر دے اور کہنے لگا: (اے آدم و حوا!) تمہارے رب نے تمہیں اس درخت (کا پھل کھانے) سے نہیں روکا مگر (صرف اس لئے کہ اسے کھانے سے) تم دونوں فرشتے بن جاؤ گے (یعنی علائقِ بشری سے پاک ہو جاؤ گے) یا تم دونوں (اس میں) ہمیشہ رہنے والے بن جاؤ گے (یعنی اس مقامِ قرب سے کبھی محروم نہیں کئے جاؤ گے)

But Satan whispered to them to make apparent to them that which was concealed from them of their private parts. He said, "Your Lord did not forbid you this tree except that you become angels or become of the immortal."

پس وہ فریب کے ذریعے دونوں کو (درخت کا پھل کھانے تک) اتار لایا، سو جب دونوں نے درخت (کے پھل) کو چکھ لیا تو دونوں کی شرم گاہیں ان کے لئے ظاہر ہوگئیں اور دونوں اپنے (بدن کے) اوپر جنت کے پتے چپکانے لگے، تو ان کے رب نے انہیں ندا فرمائی کہ کیا میں نے تم دونوں کو اس درخت (کے قریب جانے) سے روکا نہ تھا اور تم سے یہ (نہ) فرمایا تھا کہ بیشک شیطان تم دونوں کا کھلا دشمن ہے

So he made them fall, through deception. And when they tasted of the tree, their private parts became apparent to them, and they began to fasten together over themselves from the leaves of Paradise. And their Lord called to them, "Did I not forbid you from that tree and tell you that Satan is to you a clear enemy?"

اور (یاد کیجئے) جب ہم نے آپ سے فرمایا کہ بیشک آپ کے رب نے (سب) لوگوں کو (اپنے علم و قدرت کے) احاطہ میں لے رکھا ہے، اور ہم نے تو (شبِ معراج کے) اس نظّارہ کو جو ہم نے آپ کو دکھایا لوگوں کے لئے صرف ایک آزمائش بنایا ہے (ایمان والے مان گئے اور ظاہر بین الجھ گئے) اور اس درخت (شجرۃ الزقوم) کو بھی جس پر قرآن میں لعنت کی گئی ہے، اور ہم انہیں ڈراتے ہیں مگر یہ (ڈرانا بھی) ان میں کوئی اضافہ نہیں کرتا سوائے اور بڑی سرکشی کے

And [remember, O Muhammad], when We told you, "Indeed, your Lord has encompassed the people." And We did not make the sight which We showed you except as a trial for the people, as was the accursed tree [mentioned] in the Qur'an. And We threaten them, but it increases them not except in great transgression.

Alam tara anna Allaha yasjudu lahuman fee assamawati waman fee al-ardiwashshamsu walqamaru wannujoomu waljibaluwashshajaru waddawabbu wakatheerun minaannasi wakatheerun haqqa AAalayhi alAAathabuwaman yuhini Allahu fama lahu min mukrimin inna AllahayafAAalu ma yasha/

کیا تم نے نہیں دیکھا کہ اﷲ ہی کے لئے (وہ ساری مخلوق) سجدہ ریز ہے جو آسمانوں میں ہے اور جو زمین میں ہے اور سورج (بھی) اور چاند (بھی) اور ستارے (بھی) اور پہاڑ (بھی) اور درخت (بھی) اور جانور (بھی) اور بہت سے انسان (بھی)، اور بہت سے (انسان) ایسے بھی ہیں جن پر (ان کے کفر و شرک کے باعث) عذاب ثابت ہو چکا ہے، اور اﷲ جسے ذلیل کر دے تو اسے کوئی عزت دینے والا نہیں ہے۔ بیشک اﷲ جو چاہتا ہے کر دیتا ہے

Do you not see that to Allah prostrates whoever is in the heavens and whoever is on the earth and the sun, the moon, the stars, the mountains, the trees, the moving creatures and many of the people? But upon many the punishment has been justified. And he whom Allah humiliates - for him there is no bestower of honor. Indeed, Allah does what He wills.

Allahu nooru assamawatiwal-ardi mathalu noorihi kamishkatin feehamisbahun almisbahu fee zujajatinazzujajatu kaannaha kawkabun durriyyunyooqadu min shajaratin mubarakatin zaytoonatin lasharqiyyatin wala gharbiyyatin yakadu zaytuhayudee-o walaw lam tamsas-hu narun noorun AAalanoorin yahdee Allahu linoorihi man yashao wayadribuAllahu al-amthala linnasi wallahubikulli shay-in AAaleem

اللہ آسمانوں اور زمین کا نور ہے، اس کے نور کی مثال (جو نورِ محمدی صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کی شکل میں دنیا میں روشن ہے) اس طاق (نما سینۂ اقدس) جیسی ہے جس میں چراغِ (نبوت روشن) ہے؛ (وہ) چراغ، فانوس (قلبِ محمدی صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) میں رکھا ہے۔ (یہ) فانوس (نورِ الٰہی کے پرتَو سے اس قدر منور ہے) گویا ایک درخشندہ ستارہ ہے (یہ چراغِ نبوت) جو زیتون کے مبارک درخت سے (یعنی عالم قدس کے بابرکت رابطہ وحی سے یا انبیاء و رسل ہی کے مبارک شجرۂ نبوت سے) روشن ہوا ہے نہ (فقط) شرقی ہے اور نہ غربی (بلکہ اپنے فیضِ نور کی وسعت میں عالم گیر ہے) ۔ ایسا معلوم ہوتا ہے کہ اس کا تیل (خود ہی) چمک رہا ہے اگرچہ ابھی اسے (وحی ربّانی اور معجزاتِ آسمانی کی) آگ نے چھوا بھی نہیں، (وہ) نور کے اوپر نور ہے (یعنی نورِ وجود پر نورِ نبوت گویا وہ ذات دوہرے نور کا پیکر ہے)، اللہ جسے چاہتا ہے اپنے نور (کی معرفت) تک پہنچا دیتا ہے، اور اللہ لوگوں (کی ہدایت) کے لئے مثالیں بیان فرماتا ہے، اور اللہ ہر چیز سے خوب آگاہ ہے

Allah is the Light of the heavens and the earth. The example of His light is like a niche within which is a lamp, the lamp is within glass, the glass as if it were a pearly [white] star lit from [the oil of] a blessed olive tree, neither of the east nor of the west, whose oil would almost glow even if untouched by fire. Light upon light. Allah guides to His light whom He wills. And Allah presents examples for the people, and Allah is Knowing of all things.

اَمَّنۡ خَلَقَ السَّمٰوٰتِ وَالۡاَرۡضَ وَاَنۡزَلَ لَـكُمۡ مِّنَ السَّمَآءِ مَآءًۚ فَاَنۡۢبَتۡنَا بِهٖ حَدَآٮِٕقَ ذَاتَ بَهۡجَةٍۚ مَّا كَانَ لَـكُمۡ اَنۡ تُـنۡۢبِتُوۡا شَجَرَهَاؕ ءَاِلٰـهٌ مَّعَ اللّٰهِؕ بَلۡ هُمۡ قَوۡمٌ يَّعۡدِلُوۡنَؕ
— Transliteration
Amman khalaqa assamawatiwal-arda waanzala lakum mina assama-imaan faanbatna bihi hada-iqa thatabahjatin ma kana lakum an tunbitoo shajarahaa-ilahun maAAa Allahi bal hum qawmun yaAAdiloon

بلکہ وہ کون ہے جس نے آسمانوں اور زمین کو پیدا فرمایا اور تمہارے لئے آسمانی فضا سے پانی اتارا، پھر ہم نے اس (پانی) سے تازہ اور خوش نما باغات اُگائے؟ تمہارے لئے ممکن نہ تھا کہ تم ان (باغات) کے درخت اُگا سکتے۔ کیا اللہ کے ساتھ کوئی (اور بھی) معبود ہے؟ بلکہ یہ وہ لوگ ہیں جو (راہِ حق سے) پرے ہٹ رہے ہیں
— English
[More precisely], is He [not best] who created the heavens and the earth and sent down for you rain from the sky, causing to grow thereby gardens of joyful beauty which you could not [otherwise] have grown the trees thereof? Is there a deity with Allah? [No], but they are a people who ascribe equals [to Him].

Walaw annama fee al-ardi minshajaratin aqlamun walbahru yamudduhu minbaAAdihi sabAAatu abhurin ma nafidat kalimatuAllahi inna Allaha AAazeezun hakeem

And if whatever trees upon the earth were pens and the sea [was ink], replenished thereafter by seven [more] seas, the words of Allah would not be exhausted. Indeed, Allah is Exalted in Might and Wise.
