يٰۤاَهۡلَ الۡكِتٰبِ لَا تَغۡلُوۡا فِىۡ دِيۡنِكُمۡ وَلَا تَقُوۡلُوۡا عَلَى اللّٰهِ اِلَّا الۡحَـقَّ‌ؕ اِنَّمَا الۡمَسِيۡحُ عِيۡسَى ابۡنُ مَرۡيَمَ رَسُوۡلُ اللّٰهِ وَكَلِمَتُهٗ‌ۚ اَلۡقٰٮهَاۤ اِلٰى مَرۡيَمَ وَرُوۡحٌ مِّنۡهُ‌ فَاٰمِنُوۡا بِاللّٰهِ وَرُسُلِهٖ‌‌ۚ وَلَا تَقُوۡلُوۡا ثَلٰثَةٌ‌ ؕ انتَهُوۡا خَيۡرًا لَّـكُمۡ‌ؕ اِنَّمَا اللّٰهُ اِلٰـهٌ وَّاحِدٌ‌ ؕ سُبۡحٰنَهٗۤ اَنۡ يَّكُوۡنَ لَهٗ وَلَدٌ‌ۘ لَهٗ مَا فِى السَّمٰوٰتِ وَمَا فِى الۡاَرۡضِ‌ؕ وَكَفٰى بِاللّٰهِ وَكِيۡلاً‏ 
— Transliteration
Ya ahla alkitabi lataghloo fee deenikum wala taqooloo AAala Allahiilla alhaqqa innama almaseehu AAeesaibnu maryama rasoolu Allahi wakalimatuhu alqahaila maryama waroohun minhu faaminoo billahiwarusulihi wala taqooloo thalathatun intahookhayran lakum innama Allahu ilahun wahidunsubhanahu an yakoona lahu waladun lahu ma fee assamawatiwama fee al-ardi wakafa billahiwakeela

Urdu —
اے اہلِ کتاب! تم اپنے دین میں حد سے زائد نہ بڑھو اور اﷲ کی شان میں سچ کے سوا کچھ نہ کہو، حقیقت صرف یہ ہے کہ مسیح عیسٰی ابن مریم (علیہما السلام) اﷲ کا رسول اور اس کا کلمہ ہے جسے اس نے مریم کی طرف پہنچا دیا اور اس (کی طرف) سے ایک روح ہے۔ پس تم اﷲ اور اس کے رسولوں پر ایمان لاؤ اور مت کہو کہ (معبود) تین ہیں، (اس عقیدہ سے) باز آجاؤ، (یہ) تمہارے لئے بہتر ہے۔ بیشک اﷲ ہی یکتا معبود ہے، وہ اس سے پاک ہے کہ اس کے لئے کوئی اولاد ہو، (سب کچھ) اسی کا ہے جو کچھ آسمانوں میں ہے اور جو کچھ زمین میں ہے، اور اﷲ کا کارساز ہونا کافی ہےo
— English
O People of the Scripture, do not commit excess in your religion or say about Allah except the truth. The Messiah, Jesus, the son of Mary, was but a messenger of Allah and His word which He directed to Mary and a soul [created at a command] from Him. So believe in Allah and His messengers. And do not say, "Three"; desist - it is better for you. Indeed, Allah is but one God. Exalted is He above having a son. To Him belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth. And sufficient is Allah as Disposer of affairs.

لَـقَدۡ كَفَرَ الَّذِيۡنَ قَالُوۡۤا اِنَّ اللّٰهَ ثَالِثُ ثَلٰثَةٍ‌ۘ وَمَا مِنۡ اِلٰهٍ اِلَّاۤ اِلٰـهٌ وَّاحِدٌ‌ ؕ وَاِنۡ لَّمۡ يَنۡتَهُوۡا عَمَّا يَقُوۡلُوۡنَ لَيَمَسَّنَّ الَّذِيۡنَ كَفَرُوۡا مِنۡهُمۡ عَذَابٌ اَلِيۡمٌ‏ 
— Transliteration
Laqad kafara allatheena qalooinna Allaha thalithu thalathatin wamamin ilahin illa ilahun wahidun wa-inlam yantahoo AAamma yaqooloona layamassanna allatheenakafaroo minhum AAathabun aleem

بیشک ایسے لوگ (بھی) کافر ہوگئے ہیں جنہوں نے کہا کہ اللہ تین (معبودوں) میں سے تیسرا ہے، حالانکہ معبودِ یکتا کے سوا کوئی عبادت کے لائق نہیں، اور اگر وہ ان (بیہودہ باتوں) سے جو وہ کہہ رہے ہیں بازنہ آئے تو ان میں سے کافروں کو دردناک عذاب ضرور پہنچے گا

They have certainly disbelieved who say, "Allah is the third of three." And there is no god except one God. And if they do not desist from what they are saying, there will surely afflict the disbelievers among them a painful punishment.
