فَاَجَآءَهَا الۡمَخَاضُ اِلٰى جِذۡعِ النَّخۡلَةِ‌ۚ قَالَتۡ يٰلَيۡتَنِىۡ مِتُّ قَبۡلَ هٰذَا وَكُنۡتُ نَسۡيًا مَّنۡسِيًّا‏ 
— Transliteration
Faajaaha almakhadu ilajithAAi annakhlati qalat ya laytaneemittu qabla hatha wakuntu nasyan mansiyya

پھر دردِ زہ انہیں ایک کھجور کے تنے کی طرف لے آیا، وہ (پریشانی کے عالم میں) کہنے لگیں: اے کاش! میں پہلے سے مرگئی ہوتی اور بالکل بھولی بسری ہوچکی ہوتی

And the pains of childbirth drove her to the trunk of a palm tree. She said, "Oh, I wish I had died before this and was in oblivion, forgotten."

And shake toward you the trunk of the palm tree; it will drop upon you ripe, fresh dates.

قَالَ اٰمَنۡتُمۡ لَهٗ قَبۡلَ اَنۡ اٰذَنَ لَـكُمۡ‌ؕ اِنَّهٗ لَـكَبِيۡرُكُمُ الَّذِىۡ عَلَّمَكُمُ السِّحۡرَ‌ۚ فَلَاُقَطِّعَنَّ اَيۡدِيَكُمۡ وَاَرۡجُلَكُمۡ مِّنۡ خِلَافٍ وَّلَاُصَلِّبَـنَّكُمۡ فِىۡ جُذُوۡعِ النَّخۡلِ وَلَـتَعۡلَمُنَّ اَيُّنَاۤ اَشَدُّ عَذَابًا وَّاَبۡقٰى‏ 
— Transliteration
Qala amantum lahu qabla an athanalakum innahu lakabeerukumu allathee AAallamakumu assihrafalaoqattiAAanna aydiyakum waarjulakum min khilafinwalaosallibannakum fee juthooAAi annakhliwalataAAlamunna ayyuna ashaddu AAathaban waabqa

اور تمہارے پاؤں

مخالف سمت (سے)
wala-uṣallibannakum
and surely I will crucify you
اور البتہ میں ضرور سولی چڑھاؤں گا تم کو

and surely you will know
اور البتہ تم ضرور جان لو گے

کون ساہم میں سے

عذاب دینے میں

and more lasting
اور زیادہ دیرپا ہے

(فرعون) کہنے لگا: تم اس پر ایمان لے آئے ہو قبل اس کے کہ میں تمہیں اجازت دوں، بیشک وہ (موسٰی) تمہارا (بھی) بڑا (استاد) ہے جس نے تم کو جادو سکھایا ہے، پس (اب) میں ضرور تمہارے ہاتھ اور تمہارے پاؤں الٹی سمتوں سے کاٹوں گا اور تمہیں ضرور کھجور کے تنوں میں سولی چڑھاؤں گا اور تم ضرور جان لوگے کہ ہم میں سے کون عذاب دینے میں زیادہ سخت اور زیادہ مدت تک باقی رہنے والا ہے
— English
[Pharaoh] said, "You believed him before I gave you permission. Indeed, he is your leader who has taught you magic. So I will surely cut off your hands and your feet on opposite sides, and I will crucify you on the trunks of palm trees, and you will surely know which of us is more severe in [giving] punishment and more enduring."
