وَاِذۡ قَالَتۡ طَّآٮِٕفَةٌ مِّنۡهُمۡ يٰۤـاَهۡلَ يَثۡرِبَ لَا مُقَامَ لَكُمۡ فَارۡجِعُوۡا‌ۚ وَيَسۡتَاۡذِنُ فَرِيۡقٌ مِّنۡهُمُ النَّبِىَّ يَقُوۡلُوۡنَ اِنَّ بُيُوۡتَنَا عَوۡرَة‌ٌ ‌ۛؕوَمَا هِىَ بِعَوۡرَةٍ ۛۚاِنۡ يُّرِيۡدُوۡنَ اِلَّا فِرَارًا‏ 

Wa-ith qalat ta-ifatunminhum ya ahla yathriba la muqama lakum farjiAAoowayasta/thinu fareequn minhumu annabiyyayaqooloona inna buyootana AAawratun wama hiyabiAAawratin in yureedoona illa firara

اور جبکہ اُن میں سے ایک گروہ کہنے لگا: اے اہلِ یثرب! تمہارے (بحفاظت) ٹھہرنے کی کوئی جگہ نہیں رہی، تم واپس (گھروں کو) چلے جاؤ، اور ان میں سے ایک گروہ نبی (اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) سے یہ کہتے ہوئے (واپس جانے کی) اجازت مانگنے لگا کہ ہمارے گھر کھلے پڑے ہیں، حالانکہ وہ کھلے نہ تھے، وہ (اس بہانے سے) صرف فرار چاہتے تھے

And when a faction of them said, "O people of Yathrib, there is no stability for you [here], so return [home]." And a party of them asked permission of the Prophet, saying, "Indeed, our houses are unprotected," while they were not exposed. They did not intend except to flee.
