وَلَوِ اتَّبَعَ الۡحَـقُّ اَهۡوَآءَهُمۡ لَفَسَدَتِ السَّمٰوٰتُ وَالۡاَرۡضُ وَمَنۡ فِيۡهِنَّؕ بَلۡ اَتَيۡنٰهُمۡ بِذِكۡرِهِمۡ فَهُمۡ عَنۡ ذِكۡرِهِمۡ مُّعۡرِضُوۡنَؕ
Word By Word —
وَلَوِ
walawiBut ifاور اگر
اتَّبَعَ
ittabaʿa(had) followedپیروی کرتا
الۡحَـقُّ
l-ḥaquthe truthحق
اَهۡوَآءَهُمۡ
ahwāahumtheir desiresان کی خواہشات کی
لَفَسَدَتِ
lafasadatisurely (would) have been corruptedالبتہ بگڑ جاتے
السَّمٰوٰتُ
l-samāwātuthe heavensآسمان
وَالۡاَرۡضُ
wal-arḍuand the earthاور زمین
وَمَنۡ
wamanand whoeverاور جو
فِيۡهِنَّؕ
fīhinna(is) therein.ان کے اندر ہے
بَلۡ
balNay,بلکہ
اَتَيۡنٰهُمۡ
ataynāhumWe have brought themلائے ہیں ہم ان کے پاس
بِذِكۡرِهِمۡ
bidhik'rihimtheir reminderانہی کا ذکر
فَهُمۡ
fahumbut they,تو وہ
عَنۡ
ʿanfromسے
ذِكۡرِهِمۡ
dhik'rihimtheir reminderاپنے ذکر سے
مُّعۡرِضُوۡنَؕ
muʿ'riḍūna(are) turning awayمنہ موڑنے والے ہیں
Walawi ittabaAAa alhaqqu ahwaahumlafasadati assamawatu wal-arduwaman feehinna bal ataynahum bithikrihim fahum AAanthikrihim muAAridoon
